So, we're Rat Pack, a CE Guild from back in MoP - Early Legion. I myself wasn't there for those tiers, mind you.
We've ever since tried to play with friends (those people that were there wanted to play with people like me, who were at the time super new to the game and not ready to get CE's) and obviously that resulted in big player skill discrepancies which honestly
make Mythic Raiding incredibly hard as you're stuck with players who could do better and people who're actually still too weak.
Most of these players have either quit or have gained experience ever since which introduced the reform / rebrand of Rat Pack in Shadowlands.
Obviously, when it comes to reforming guilds, you rarely get your best players back because they probably have found their homes elsewhere. Luckily, the core of our group of friends is fairly high quality providing us with a decent baseline of players.
Sadly, we put faith in some newer players ("I'm raiding top of the server private server WOTLK 10 man, I'll be good, game is easy now") on important roles (Yeah, I feel bad about this, please don't make fun of me) such as Main Tank, Healer.
This introduced us to Shadowlands as a 2-day Raiding Guild that was literally HARD STUCK on Heroic Huntsman because the tank wouldn't press a defensive for over a minute (bear tank btw lul) or healers that literally didn't use half of their kit.
Those people have obviously been replaced, and other than having a weird progress day last Sunday on KaelThas, we would have caught up to 4/10 Mythic Last Week. Sadly, that didn't happen, so we're stuck at 3/10. Honestly, I'm positive KT dies this week tho
Whilst there's a lot of bad, there's been a lot of good too! We got lucky to pick up another couple of people that were friends at the start of the tier who proved to be very decent to high quality players
that will never ditch us as has been proven by them sticking around after the horrendous start.
At this very moment I'd argue we have a really strong "best 15 members" (Don't expect the Orange Parsers Thrills or ImFiredUps or Gingis, but they're MORE than good enough to get CE)
and then there's like 10 people filling of which 2 were our Demon Hunters. Both of the DH's have realized they're just subpar, and have eventually decided to not be raiding with us any longer as they felt like they were dragging the group down.
We're obviously actively recruiting to fill up the minor gaps in quality as we do aim to get CE this tier still, and for sure every upcoming tier and are currently in "trouble" as we're raiding without a DH and most of our good players are Casters so it's
costing us deerly.
So yeah, I went out of my way and scraped the edges of the Internet hoping to find someone of high quality to permanently fill in the DH slot (also because if you recruit a DH he's ALWAYS going to be playing and therefore needs to be a good player which
makes it particularly hard cause very few good players are playing DPS DH as of now)
Now, important to us is that since we're now a merged group of people that get along very well is that we don't want Elitist players who come to cause drama, even if stuff goes south. Sure, you can rant for a bit but it should always be in good spirits
with a mentality that just wants to progress with the group.
