  9. Summary:
  10. The Remnants of an Ancient Kingdom, the Ald Sidhe are all that remains of the first born Elves. They are extremely powerful magicians. Their elusive behavior and their mastery of magic has made them a highly sought after legend. Not much is known about any current Ald Sidhe other than rumors and myths. Some vicious rumors claim they perform ritual sacrifice and engage in torture and cannibalism, while more licentious rumors speak of their thousands of years of sexual experience and knowledge of erotic magic that no other living beings could comprehend.
  11.
  12. Physical Description:
  13. Elves are humanoid in form and do not vary far from Humans. However, there are certain traits characteristic of Elves, especially the elder races such as the Ald Sidhe. Elves are typically taller and slimmer than humans, with large eyes and long pointed ears. Wood elves are typically pale, while Drow elves are typically tan.
  14.
  15. Basic Behaviors:
  16. Ald Sidhe are elusive, withdrawn, and act uninterested in those they do not know. This makes them difficult to approach and befriend, a matter complicated even further by their lives as hermits. However, once an Ald Sidhe has met an individual, they will treat them with a manner of politeness and courtesy as befitting one of their equals. Old Elven Society was highly honorable, and the Ald Sidhe carry on the traditional values. They place a lot of emphasis on the importance of names, and an Ald Sidhe who exchanges names with you has acknowledged you. It is unlikely that this will ever happen, however, as they only allow others to see them when they wish to be seen.
  17.
  18. Ald Sidhe are not without their charms however. Once the initial difficulty of meeting one another has been surpassed, Ald Sidhe become very warm and friendly, often inviting the individual for meals or proposing a friendly challenge or game. In this way, they continue to maintain social relationships with those they deem worthy of their time, and may even choose to court one.
  19.
  20. Ald Sidhe cannot breed. It is not known whether this is because of some complication with the magic they possess or a simple tradeoff for immortality. As such, they are extremely selective with their mates, and only choose the greatest of those they socialize with. As they are immortal, their time spent with their mates is both fleeting and transient. Many Ald Sidhe will go mateless if there are no suitable candidates in their pool of associates.
  21.
  22. Special Features:
  23. Ald Sidhe are immortal: they will not age past a certain point and so long as they are not killed, they will continue to live without dying of age or any other natural effects. Their long lives have allowed them to study Magic to a fearsome degree, and they are considered to be the world's leading experts on it's application. Foolish brigands often chase after them in the hopes that they will be able to uncover the secrets of the old elves. However, Ald Sidhe are clever, and will not appear before these types. They will however, sometimes take interest in those who find themselves lost near their domain, and will often guide travelers and other folk back to their own society through the use of magical signs and familiars.
