[18:00] Waylan knocks onto the door frame lightly

[18:02] The glass of wine is swirled in small circles as she watches the red in front of her, her pale silver hand brings it forwards to take another miniscule sip. "Absolutely nothing, really. A few of the younger generations have asked for my expertise in crafting. A few others want advice. I mostly just sit at home with Finn, or walk with him through the Vale."

"Retirement is nice. Peaceful." She would say in a low tone.

Then she looks over towards Waylan at the doorway, blue eyes viewing the young man with a thoughtful silence before a small warm smile is briefly offered.

[18:05] Nothing more than a glance is offered to Waylan as he enters. There was no need for anything else. His attention remains upon the Teraphim before a small nod is given. A smile comes upon his lips.

"I don't know if Ella would have been fine with retirement and a more quiet life. She was passionate. Incredibly so. Though I don't think she would've stopped me from realizing my sister's dream in her place."

[18:07] Waylan glanced at them both, placing his bad hand in his pocket shortly after.

"Excuse me if walking in was rude; I hope I'm not interrupting anything important."

Clearly it sounded like two old friends catching up after a long while.

[18:07] Kofe says, "No, no. The door is unlocked for a reason."
[18:08] Waylan mer Joyau says, "I just wanted to be sure, and sorry about that my day has been kind of rough."
[18:17] "I'm surprised you've settled as much as you have, Kofe. Though Ella is not Rhoynish. If you can settle down like this, then I'm sure Ella would have as well eventually. Everyone slows down with age, Kofe, even you apparently."

She would say with a light-hearted smile to her as the antlered Teraphim sips at the wine before looking back towards Waylan. "You're welcome to remain if you are looking to get away from something."

[18:18] Kofe asks, "Slow down?"
[18:18] Kofe says, "I've never been more tested."
[18:18] Amalia Ghede says, "Hmhm."
[18:18] Kofe says, "Observing and allowing people to spill their thoughts upon me has given me more insight than ever before."
[18:19] Kofe says, "To have to build a profile of someone from the ground up requires great observation."
[18:22] Waylan decided to take a seat, Amalia seemed to have hit it right on the head. Sometimes taking a little break from the outside world was needed in time like this.

"I'll gladly take a load off; you'd think after speaking time build a Church for positivity people would be more open to try. Sadly some people just wanted to see good things destroyed for whatever petty reason."

Placed his hands on the table one was covered in mithril.

"I just needed to take a little break before heading back."

[18:24] Kofe attention shifted towards Waylan at last. He quickly recognized him, being reminded of another friend of his who had found a bitter end. A question comes after his bemoaning.

"What will you do if they come for your church?"

[18:24] Amalia merely falls silent as she sips at the lone glass of wine in her hand.

[18:26] Waylan glances at Kofe at the mention of the Church.

"I'll defend it even to my dying breath. My mother didn't give me this life only to run, hide, or be idle; I'd be disrespecting her name.

This Church is proof that I'm following her example and if they wish to come for it then so be it. A few wounds won't kill me, but this Church will survive."

[18:29] Kofe leaned lightly upon his hand, sipping from his glass as he listened to Waylan's words. The kind all too similar to Del's own when they reached an older age. To think someone so quiet and kind and.. even funny at times could grow into an unhinged zealot. Those younger days were far back.

"Is following Del's example all that you strive to be?" He asked, tilting his head just a bit. "You'll end up following your mother's example all the way to the grave if you make it your life goal."

[18:34] "No, but following her example has given me a good foundation to build upon. I don't see everything the same as she did because we aren't the same person."

Waylan started tapping his fingers along the table,

"I'm Waylan mer Joyau, and I know I'll never truly be able to follow anyone. The Church I created is built around different ideas they won't cause people to shy away.

My mother wasn't too accepting of change or hearing others out when it came to her faith. I'm not like that, so that's where we differ.

I do plan to reach the same level of cosmic knowledge she had, but that isn't a terrible thing."

[18:39] "You're far from it." Kofe answered without even missing a beat. "Although I don't think that you should seek out to learn as much as your mother. By the end of it all, Del believed they were guided by the stars themselves to accomplish their will. Perhaps a good balance of believing in angels and in the stars is what they failed to accomplish at that point."

A long pause is given, and a sip is taken.

"Del and I both made out bond with our respective star in the same spot. I watched them bonding, and they listened to me bond, too."

[18:44] "I still have a lot to learn, and reaching a point like that won't be easy. My own personal goal to rebuild the clergy and keep the faith strong is what I strive for."

His goals seemed based around his family or well his personal goals did.

"I'm still young and trying to stuff myself full of knowledge isn't easy. I'll have to take it slow while getting the Church into a more stable condition.

I'm still open to learning and assistance because I don't know it all, but I know what I want and I continue reaching for it.

Though my path is my own and you're right if I try to follow my mother it could lead to an early grave. So, it's something to truly thing about."

[18:51] Kofe allowed himself to listen and take in Waylan's way of seeing things. Perhaps it was not going to lead him anywhere. Or maybe it would bring him great fortune. Whatever the case may be, Kofe was not there to do his bidding for him.

"It seems like your issue isn't the drive you possess, or your goals, but the lack of... charisma that comes with leading a church. If no one attends your sermons you'll find yourself going nowhere."

Kofe slowly got up from his seat, moving away from the table without much explanation.

"Being popular and cool isn't something that you can change, either. You're either born with it, or you're not. But there are things that can help with anyone who doubts your heart."

And without a word, the man pushed open the door at the back.

"I'll return."

[18:52] Kofe says, ".. Now."
[18:52] Kofe says, "I believe that there is something you'll need."
[18:53] Waylan didn't have a chance to respond as Kofe ran into the back room and returned just ask quickly.

"..Hm? What is this something that I need?"

With how his day was doing he wasn't sure what to expect anymore though he waited patiently.

[18:57] Reaching behind his back the man pulled out a staff. The moment the staff was shown it would be clear that this was no normal object. Judging by the feeling it gave alone its attunement with the very church that Waylan was trying to revive was clear. With a star-shaped crystal at its top its connection to the cosmos is made obvious, radiating with the very strength of Leonaus.

A relic. From over eight hundred years prior.

The House of Wonders truly was one filled with anything one could imagine; how did Kofe even get his hands on this? And if he was just giving it away, how much more did he possess?

"This. With it perhaps the followers of Maltziel will recognize your worth. There's no need to tell them how you retrieved it; they merely need to know that you carry it."

[19:10] Waylan glances at the relic, this wasn't the one, right? He tapped his foot on the ground thinking to himself quite a bit. If this is what he thought it was then it was a little too good to be true.

He opened a deep breath and admired the craftsmanship of the staff, finally he glanced at Kofe.

"Was this the same staff my mother used? I can't be sure at first glance, but it might be."

In a little disbelief to obtain another relic of this caliber was amazing. Waylan didn't see himself failing, and with this he only sought to push harder.

"I have to push harder despite what might happen, and gather people despite their opinions and spite. I know the path I'm walking isn't easy.

Despite everything that's happened and will happen; I'm looking forward to leading them. This isn't something I'll take lightly and because you've given it to me; I'll prove that I deserve it.

I'll make a difference one day at a time, and change will come and the Church will remain and become stronger. It's my goal and I'm closer to achieving it than before.

[19:17] "It was Del's, yes. Now I believe it is yours."

Kofe offered naught but a small smile when he added his own thoughts to Waylan's words.

"At times the best push is a pull. Trying too hard to please others and draw them into your beliefs may have them resent you."

A piece of advice that came before a small nod.

"I didn't do it for your church. It is merely what you needed; the House of Wonders was bound to lend you a hand."

[19:25] "I understand it's honestly something I thought was lost forever or well I thought another person had it."

Waylan held the staff closed to him, noticing the smile Kofe gave him.

"I can feel the energy coursing through this and I feel like I need to utilize it a lot better. I'll probably need time to adjust to this; however, I'll make good use of this."

Waylan gripped the staff tightly.

"I understand, Kofe."
