 Mira calls out Manaphy and picks him up. "Where do you wanna go?"

<DamienLunas> "Or no, wait."

<DamienLunas> "That's just a heated open air bath."

<Mira> (go away arthur)

<Mira> "...That doesn't sound as fun."

<DamienLunas> "Oh, there's some hot springs."

<DamienLunas> "1,626 kilometers away."

<DamienLunas> "Over at Cinnibar Island."

<Mira> "...Maybe we could just walk around?"

<Mira> "I don't think we could get there in an afternoon."

<DamienLunas> Manaphy giggles.

<DamienLunas> "Mira, I'm the Prince of the Sea."

<Mira> "But not of the land. Or the sky."

<DamienLunas> "There's a pond nearby, isn't there?"

<DamienLunas> "I can travel from one body of water to another instantly."

<Mira> "....Yeah?"

<DamienLunas> "And since you're my princess, I can take you with me."

<DamienLunas> "What do you think, does it sound fun?"

<Mira> "It does! I'm not going to need to hold my breath or anything, will I? I'm not too good at holding my breath."

<DamienLunas> "Hahaha, don't worry, Mira."

<DamienLunas> "Just make sure you let someone know where we're going."

<Mira> "Okay!" Mira is slightly out of breath from all that DASHING ABOUT. "Which way?"

<DamienLunas> "Nearest pond is... this way."

<DamienLunas> he points it out.

 Mira heads thataway!

<DamienLunas> you head on over to a pond and Manaphy conjures up a whirlpool.

<DamienLunas> "Hop on in!"

 Mira holds her breath and cautiously steps in.

<DamienLunas> you get sucked into the whirlpool, and pop out into a nice steamy hot sprin-ohgoditsprettyhotinhereandyourestillwearingallyourclothes

 Mira LEAPS out of the water oh god

<DamienLunas> "Oh goodness I'm so sorry, Mira!"

<DamienLunas> "Here, let me dry you off."

<DamienLunas> Manaphy waves his hand and all the water floats out of your clothes and into a little sphere over manaphy's head

<Mira> "Oh. That works."

<DamienLunas> He lowers the sphere back into the hot spring.

<Mira> "Hmm. I should probably buy a swimsuit or something."

<DamienLunas> You seem to be on a mountainside, in a nice naturally formed hot spring.

<DamienLunas> "Well... city's all the way down there."

<Mira> "Oh."

 Mira just kicks off her shoes and socks and dunks her feet into the water, then.

<DamienLunas> "Hmm... I wonder if any of your pokemon would like being in the water."

<Mira> "Hmm. Probably not Fion or - well, maybe Aidan."

<Mira> "Might as well let out everyone. But first..."

<Mira> "Um."

<Mira> "There was something I wanted to ask you."


<Mira> (yep)

<Mira> (you missed nothing)

<Damien> "What's that, Mira?"

<Mira> "...Are you upset with me? Because I wanted to contract Jirachi instead of you?"

<Damien> "Of course I'm not upset with you."

 DamienLunas has quit (Ping timeout)

<Damien> "You showed me how much you're willing to do for me, and that makes me happier than just being the one to fight for you."

<Damien> He does an odd manuever where he shifts his body into water and sort of floats it up to your shoulder and reforms there to sit on it.

<Damien> "That's more than enough for me."

<Mira> "Heehee. I'm glad. I mean... I really like you, but this is a promise I want to try and keep. Even if I didn't really make it."

<Mira> "I'm pretty sure Jirachi still wants a friend..."

<Damien> "Well I like you too of course. That's why I want to spend the rest of your life together."

 Mira doesn't seem to realize that Manaphy might not have any idea what she's talking about. :3c

<Mira> "...That's probably for the best, anyway."

<Damien> "What do you mean?"

<Mira> "Well, our world is going to change pretty drastically when Ribbonwood becomes just like everything else, right?"

<Damien> "Mmhm, maybe."

<Mira> "And, well, I'm not sure there'll be much of a place for me any more."

<Mira> "Or the legendaries - it might be best if they went away from humans..."

<Mira> "...But, uh, never mind."

 Mira sits back against a rock. "Just thinking out loud."

<Damien> "No place for you?"

<Damien> "Mira, you'll always have your friends."

<Damien> "Why would you think there isn't a place for you in this world?"

<Mira> "Well, yes, but..."

<Damien> "You're a beautiful intelligent young lady."

<Damien> "There's so much you could offer the world like that."

<Mira> "I'll have my friends, but...what are we supposed to do in a world we don't understand?"

<Damien> "You can do it, Mira. Just because you had a tough time growing up doesn't mean you can't find a place in the world."

<Damien> "There's something out there for everyone. It's a wonderful world."

<Mira> "I know, but..."

 Mira pauses.

<Mira> "...I don't know how to say it."

<Damien> "Just try. I'll understand."

<Mira> "But all we know is how to survive. We don't know how to live in a world like this."

<Damien> "Mmhm, you've always fought to survive, and you're afraid you won't have a place to fit in to a society that doesn't need to fight?"

<Damien> "That you don't know how to live like the rest of the world?"

<Mira> "...Mmm."

<Damien> "It may be hard at first, but everyone's had to learn, Mira."

<Damien> "Everyone else had to die of that same disease, and learn how to do things all over again."

<Damien> "They got there a little faster, but you'll be able to catch up just fine."

<Mira> (wait, I thought ribbonwood was the only area effected)

<Damien> "I've seen the world before it was destroyed. A lovely young girl like you could do anything she sets her mind to."

<Damien> (no, everywhere was affected)

<Mira> (why is it that it's still ass-backwards when the rest of the world is esthar, then)

<Damien> (because it got affected the worst)

<Damien> (it had the most destruction, the most wild pokemon, the quickest rate of death)

<Damien> (the most potent disease)

<Damien> (The gangs also started forming very quickly)

<Damien> (and got out of control very fast)

<Mira> "I don't know..."

<Damien> "You'll be amazing, Mira."

<Damien> "They're going to love you."

<Damien> "Maybe you could even become a marine biologist!"

<Mira> "...But for now, I get to stay with you, right?"

<Damien> "Mmhm! You'll always have a place in our kingdom."

<Damien> Manaphy sits on your shoulder and hugs you.

<Damien> "Everything's going to be amazing, Mira. You'll see."

<Mira> "I'm glad."

<Mira> "I hope so!"

<Damien> "I promise."

<Mira> "Anyway!"

 Mira lets out the rest of her pokemon. :>

 Mira realizes she forgot lunch. OH WELL.

<Mira> "I, uh, had a big breakfast."

<Mira> "Stack cakes?"

<Damien> "The pancakes?"

<Mira> "Yeah, those!"

<Damien> "Hee hee! Those are pretty yummy."

<Damien> Lia is enjoying lounging in the hot springs, as is muirin.

<Damien> Ainfean seems indifferent to them

<Mira> Poryanna causes weird looking ripples as she splashes about.

<Mira> "Um. Everyone."

<Mira> "I have something to tell you.:"

<Damien> ?

 Mira quickly explains to her pokemon the whole deal with Manaphy.

<Damien> <Okay.>

<Damien> "We're... happy for you, princess."

<Damien> <How splendid, dearie. Ah, to be young and in love again...>

<Mira> "It's not like that. D:"

<Damien> 3:

<Mira> "I mean. Er."

 Mira glances over at Manaphy.

<Mira> "He's a pokemon and I'm a person." D:

<Damien> "Well..."

<Damien> "Remember how I said my ancestors invented marriage?"

<Damien> "That's... sort of the thing we were doing."

<Mira> "Um."

 Mira goes BRIGHT RED.

<Damien> everyone immediately starts looking away from eachother.

<Damien> "I mean uh... if it helps I'm sort of immortal and more intelligent than a human... so if there's anyone it'd be wrong for it'd be me."

<Damien> "That probably doesn't help."

<Mira> "...Not really."

<Damien> "It's... not like we're going to be uh... doing things."

<Damien> "Just... spending time together and stuff."

<Mira> "No offense."

 Mira slides into the water and sinks down. SO EMBARRASSING

<Damien> "And well, if you do find someone else, a human, that you love, I wasn't planning on getting in the way of that either."

<Mira> "...Hmm. Er. Sorry."

 Mira sort of bubbles that out.

<Mira> "I mean I didn't mean to offend you or anything and I don't mind being married or anything."

<Damien> "Well... then what is it?"

<Damien> "I'm just sort of confused about how you feel about me..."

<Mira> "Well, I really like you, but, the same way I like Saru and Hope and Klark and the others."

<Mira> "You're like family to me."

<Damien> "Well, I don't know, that doesn't really help..."

<Damien> "I mean, it's not like you'd marry one of them, right?"

<Damien> "We even have a child to think about."

<Mira> "But I mean. I don't know. You're all people I care about deeply..."

 Mira sinks even further into the water.

<Damien> "But I do love you. And if it was for your sake, I'd do anything."

<Damien> He sighs... "These relationships... between legendary pokemon and humans... they can often get complicated."

<Mira> "....They really are, aren't they? I'm sorry."

<Damien> "I mean, we don't even exactly have the same concept of love."

<Mira> "...I'm not sure I have the same concept as anyone."

<Damien> "Why's that?"

<Mira> "...I mean, something like Saru and Hope...well, I can't imagine being bound to someone like that. It hurts enough being bound to someone who doesn't care about you..."

<Damien> "Huh? What do you mean? I care about you..."

<Mira> "Not you."

<Mira> "The other one."

<Damien> "I'm confused."

<Hope> (Mira needs to actually talk to Hope about that sometime)

<Hope> (Hope believes in love without marriage as a necessity)

<Mira> "I'm sorry, I'm not very good at explaining..."

<Damien> "Do you mean the beast? Just take your time."

<Mira> (deoxys has ruined mira for everything ;_;)

<Mira> "Yeah. I...even with you, I can see your dreams sometimes. But with him...it's all the time. And it hurts...it hurts so much. I don't want that with anyone else."

<Mira> (nira is saying that she doesn't want to have the types of bonds she has with manaphy and the beast of death with anyone else)

<Arthur> (she seems to be assuming that having an allied legendary and marriage are essentially the same thing)

<Damien> "Are you saying that you think if you fall in love you'll start having nightmares about that person?"

<Mira> "That's what happened with everything else I've bonded with."

<Damien> "Oh, well..."

<Damien> "That's not really a normal thing."

<Damien> "I gave you those dreams because I thought they'd help you."

 Mira doesn't respond.

<Damien> "If you could learn some of the things I investigated..."

<Damien> "I'm sorry... I thought you'd find it informative."

<Damien> "You wanted to find Jirachi too, right?"

<Damien> "I've been looking for him as well, remember? I thought maybe if you learned some of the stuff I did it could help you."

 Mira still doesn't respond.

<Mira> "...Let's just head back."

<Damien> "Yeah... okay."

 Mira calls everyone back.

<Damien> Manaphy summons up the portal and goes through it.

 Mira follows.

<Damien> you arrive back in Celadon.

<Damien> "Can you give me the ball? I'll go find hope."

<Mira> "Um...okay."

 Mira does so.

<Damien> "Bye then..."

<Damien> he waddles off to find hope.
