Avalon:

Avalon is a planet under the grip of the Shodora Dynasty, having invaded and usurped control of it from it's precious government 99 years ago and poised to celebrate 100 years under the Dynasty's control. The planet is famous for high grade metal that can be used in the production of extremely effective Mechs and Weaponry. Under the Dynasty's rule this has caused an abandonment of craftsmanship in favor of large foundries and printed gear. Many people living on Avalon have an intense hatred of the ruling class but any dissenters were silenced by jailtime or the Royal Antiterrorism Sect led by Prince Joshua, although despite this pockets of rebellion continue to pop up. Under Dynasty rule all citizens are allowed to buy into different tiers of benefits, with the lowest tier for free offering citizenship of this fine Dynasty as it's only upside and the highest being a claim to nobility and exemption to many of the rules the people have to abide by. This leaves the poor in terrible conditions and unable to purchase land and homes of their own while the rich can get away with doing things the poor never could. This also includes the ability to leave the planet, leaving anyone else unable to leave for somewhere better.

Cities are not compelled to be subject to Dynasty control, and actually get to choose how much of their power they want to give up in exchange for benefits. While nice on paper, you must give at least some power to the Dynasty to have any chance of prospering, as no power means no government aid, no access to supply routes, and a ban on most tech purchases and utilities. The biggest cities that are given full control meanwhile have many luxuries but the government can enter any home at any point to search and can pull anyone into their military. In the halfway point the local government can hold off the government and requires that they get permits for these kinds of things.

The Kriesel Royal Family consists of Crown Prince Jeremiah, the leader of the Shodorian Military in Avalon. He is known to be honorable and respectful, and leads his troops with efficiency and grace. Prince Joshua, head of The Royal Antiterrorism Sect and the Elite Guard, who is known to stamp out anyone opposing him with ruthless efficiency. Princess Cecelia is a calm, polite woman who has no official place and instead leads relations with the nobles and officials, acting as a diplomat of sorts. And finally Princess Thalia, a level headed but intense woman who directs towns as they are taken over and makes sure nothing goes wrong. Emperor Manfred is an enigma who lives in his Capital Ship and is known to have little care for the Planets under his care, divying them up to nobles and his children. There are more members of the Royal Family but most are off world for the moment.
