Koinaku impression

For the grand route only impression,
As the title said, 恋ではなく, it's not about love, it's about more than it, it's about understanding, it's about talent and passion, it's about realization, it's about to support, it's about to give what other lack of, it's about to think one as an equal, it's about to move on, keep marching forward, and choose what the most important to you right now. Grand route truly present all of these in mature and realistic way so perfectly. Unlike the other route before where the third person involved was bitterly defeated, in grand route each characters end up with their own happy ending. Each of them ended with their own interest. And Hayakari sucessfully deliver a simply yet beautiful way to resolve all of these character matters into an amazing ending without being too forced.

And as my impression over Koinaku as a whole,
Koinaku is a simple, mature, and realistic serious romance VN that able to move your emotion without the need of exaggerated plot that involves element such as eternal farewell, NTR, or illogical things. It's always consistent at the plot from the beginning to the end.

The most important thing that make koinaku so emotional even though it's just a simple love story was the writing. The presentation of the characters mind and feeling through their own perspective was truly amazing. It always sucessfully create an atmosphere of inferiority or superiority, uncertainity, regret, anger, pain, relief, joy, and fear of misunderstanding, over a simple things, depends on the context. And grand route present all of characters perspective, which add a lot of whole new perspective toward what happend.

All of the characters is fascinating in their own way. Each with their own personality and awarness toward situation. Most importantly, all characters receive a great development as the story progress. And these characters development are not for nothing as almost all characters is having a big role in the story. And grand route shapes all of these role into their own story, that has their own happy ending.

Visual art and character design are great, it's Tomose Shunsaku afterall. Music was good enough for me, but lack of atmosphere building. But I like the Opening, it was great.

Overall, it was an unforgettable amazing serious romance VN experience that play my emotion like a damn fiddle. It's so painful but as you reach grand route, it's all paid off with a beautiful good ending. I'm totally satisfied.
