- Sunlight beams across dust covered eyes. Emily shakes her self free of the debris *coughing* and *hacking* up a cloud of particulates so thick she can't believe she's still alive. She crawls free of the sideways room and onto a rough surface. The large metal room is embedded in the roof of a building. She stands up and looks to see that she is ontop of the Antique Store/Tatoo parlor across the street from the petstore. The entire front of the pet store however is trashed; that is until a flash of lightning from a clear sky as thick as the building strikes. When it the flash is gone, the building is restored; although the glass and debris in the street is still there.
- "Aliens," says Emily, "has to be,"
- She looks across the rooftops, from here she can see the to her left is a clear path to the bend and a long row of buildings going back into a much larger city. Behind her are a few shops and then a river, the same one she saw across from the hospital. It runs into the city, by these buildings in a dike and under the street. As she looks over the side however a shadow in the water causes her to duck behind a projection in the cieling. A large serpentine shadow is swimming into the dike. She peers over the edge trying her best to see it without being seen when a *scream* can be heard coming from the direction of the hospital. The shadow turns around and moves back in that direction.
- Emily's mind goes back to the day before, had she gone across the street or the other direction...she might have run into that monster sooner, the river runs under the street. The pet store restored its...living products.
- "Maybe it just came here to...feed," she thinks, "Not sticking around to find out," she gets up and heads across the rooftops of the adjoined buildings, keeping an eye out for a fire escape to get down.
- She *scoffs* at herself thinking about the things under cars, the cryptid message to not go inside the buildings, and doors, she is traveling by roof top. No doors, no inside, no under anything. As she approaches the next block she stops as something else comes back to her looking at the train track, the train was thrown off the track, yet there is no sign of it. Other than some smashes cars and destroyed lamp posts. The shriek, she remembers the sound she heard just before the train was taken, and the night before...the snake monster must have been sitting on the room, she remembers just before the metal box of a room was...
- She looks back, "It...was...thrown up here..."
- She looks around and looks up, "A...bird maybe? A bird...monster...alien...oh shit."
- She paces on the roof at the curve, "Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit...."
- Her options are to either turn left and head into the city, with its sky scrapers, many cars, buildings, and possibly the hunting ground of some flying horror that can attack a train and that giant snake woman...which seems to still be alive and....she hears the train. The same mist as the day before, although she can clearly see that in that direction is country. A very large cemetary, what appears to be a factory way out there, maybe a farm house. As the train appears she hears a man screaming from back at the hospital, "Please God save me!" and a hideous woman's laugh, which she recognizes as the same voice as the snake monster that tormented her the night before. The screams are cut short, and she can only imagine what horrid fate awaited that unfortunate soul.
- The train only stops for a moment at the station and then continues. She does think it odd that the train track is above a road going into the country and above the road going into the city. Her options are limited, stay right there and wait for one of two monsters to come find her up there, try to get down and take her chances making a break for the open country, or follow the rooftops back into the city till she can find a way down...despite the buildings after a shot distance running along the side of the river.
- "Come ride with me.." a man's voice.
- She looks down, the train, the same train as yesterday is moving slowly following her, well it has no choice, the tracks run parallel.
- "There is a fire escape just ahead," comes the voice, eminating from the train, a voice that sounds alot like Mark Hamil.
- The glowing orbs she mistook for the reflection of the sun yesterday are looking up at her.
- "Come down and ride with me...I can take you from the city...safely through...and to the country...you don't need a ticket."
- She shakes her head, "No..." and starts to run across the roof tops, the train easily keeps pace, and keeps talking, "You will run out of shops, last one has a fire escape to...come ride with me...you do not want the church...do not want the city....come ride with me."
- As she runs she shouts, "Shut up, shut up, shut up,"
- Her fear is realized as she hears splashing to her left. she doesn't need to look, all the noise has attracted something else. She stops at the last building, the train wasn't lying, an old fire escape into an alley, far too close to a church with stain glass windows. This city makes no sense in its layout, everything is so tightly packed, like a city made based on sandbox video games. The train has stopped, there is a stairway right there in front of the church to a train platform. As she looks over the edge however, she sees the trashcans below move, the lids moving as something ducks back inside them. The alley goes down to the river, where she can hear a loud splashing.
- "Get over here!" The train's voice shouts as a long chain with a hook in it shoots up onto the roof and snags her sleeve just missing her arms. It tugs at her ripping her sleeve, several more shoot out of the windows, hitting the roof, one snagging her shoe. She runs back away out of the train's apparent line of sight and take her shoe off just in time for it to be sent flying as the train takes off at full speed, several hooks she missed rip her cloths and one takes a small slice of her left leg with a good chunk of her pants. The train is laughing like a mad man as it speeds away.
- Emily is *huffing* at the far end of the rooftop, "Hellraiser..." she whispers, "holy fuck..."
- "There you are," the woman's voice makes Emily shake as she slowly turns around.
- Down below the Lamia monster is in the river, looking much larger than she remembered it, its lower body has an odd bulge to it.
- "Jump down," says the snake creature, "so we can play,"
- "Why," thinks Emily, "would it need me to jump down? It can clearly reach up...here..."
- She is cut off by the horrific sight of the monster flexing its body and pushing a man's head up out of its pussy. The man dripping in juice *gasps* and moans, "Why...why won't I die? Please..."
- The monster contracts its muscles and Emily can hear the very loud cracking and gut wrenching popping of the man's bones being crushed. He would scream if he could, instead his eyes only bulge and moan, "Why...why won't I die?" as the snake monster so easily with one finger pushes his head back in. She squirms as though in pleasure, and with both arms beckons to Emily, "Jump...roll down....so we can play...I have such wonderful sights to show you...pleasures beyond the threshhold of pain."
- Emily backs away, "Eh...sorry...looks like you have someone already and..."
- A horrifice sound like a million zits being popped and there is a loud crash in the alley followed by a man screaming bloody murder. She runs to the fire escape to see the man covered in juices his arms and legs shattered beyond useless as swarms of black rat things...like rats crossed with porcupines, swarm from the trash cans, as though they were the only things in them, devouring the man. In less than a minute he is only a pile of broken bones and shreeded clothes. Emily didn't see the whole thing as she is vomiting, mostly dry heaving for lack of substantial food, on the roof.
- "My table is clear!" comes the voice of the snake woman, "The choice is yours virgin. Jack will be back when he realizes he doesn't have you, risk the alley and the rats...quick and painful will be your first time? Tortured by Jack maybe? I should be your first...I will bring you to heaven..before I bring you all of Hell."
- Emily is leaning over the roof facing the street, "This isn't happening...this isn't happening...its...insane...snake people...talking clown train....this...heh...heh...ha ha ha ha ha...it impossible! I'm in a coma! A horrible dream...look!"
- She examines her leg, "My scratch is already gone..."
- She hears the sound of a man screaming coming from down the road and the sound of the train laughing, "Heeeeelllpp!"
- Its the same man's voice, despite his bones being in the alley.
- The snake makes an odd snarky comment, "Huh...what bad luck for him to back in that direction. Almost feel sorry for the dumb bastard, but really who thinks swimming across a river after narrowly escaping car imps is a good idea, not like..."
- Emily is given cause to stop and think, "what?"
- "Ah shit," says the snake woman who yells up, "Come down little one...do you plan to stay up there all day? Would you rather the birds get you? A flock should be by before too long...being pecked apart is far worse than my pleasure...or even the rats..."
- Emily yells out, "Fuck all of you!" and with a running start actually tries to jump to the train tracks, she makes some impressive distance, smacking her face into the rail and crashing down breaking her neck. As everything thing goes black she hears a *clacking* sound as the door to store she landed in front of opens, and a soft *giggle* followed by a very loud *HISSS!* and the *clacking* sound moving very fast and the door slamming.
- "Wiir Shitz," says the Snake Woman as Emily goes completly dark.
- ******
- Emily starts to come to, she feels very warm, very hot.
- "Is this it," she thinks, "am I being digested..."
- Something is off, she expected to feel wet, being crushed, horrific burning as her flesh is melted off. She opens her eyes and she is sitting in the back seat of a car. Also given what she remebers last she expected her body to ache, neck to hurt...and to be dead given all that honestly. But she seems to be fine. She rolls the window down letting in a breeze before just opening the door. She steps out without thinking, "shit, where's my shoe?" before rememebering that the train...monster...clown...took it while trying to drag her off the roof with hooks and chains.
- She looks around, no sign of the train track, she is sorrounded by tall buildings, and across the street from a shoe store and a jewelry store. She sneaks into the shoe store, despite the cryptic warnings, oddly nothing seems off about it, she finds her shoe size and replaces her shoe with new ones, sneakers for running, as she is certain she will need them. As she stands on the sidewalk she is amazed looking at the car she just got out of. Nothing under it, nothing weird in the shoe store, no weird things here, other than the buildings being a bit taller than they probably need to be for what the ground floor stores are, rented office space...if this were a normal place. No signs of the snake creature, no odd noises, weird animals...in fact no signs of animals or people, the small trees in the sidewalks are even completly normal.
- As she walks past an electronics store the tvs suddenly come on. It is a scene shot from something out a window above her, the same street. But she's not on it, little comfort as it shows the snake monster slithering down the road. She looks down that way and back, the footage shows a time stamp 4:00pm, a clock shows it is now 7:00pm. She has no idea when she woke up in that crashed metal box. The snake woman stops in front of the blue car and barfs something up. A red and pink wrinkly mass, like a big with tattered rags on it, its extremities are bloody stumps that smash into a chili like smear on the road. The scene is too high up to see...the view changes all at once to being shot from inside the shoe store she was in earlier...something was in there earlier, not a few hours before she was. The wrinkly, soggy mass is clearly human but reminds her of some chicken she threw up once with how googy it...looks.
- Her eyes zero in on the colors and patterns of the half melted rags on its torso and legs. The snake woman hooks her claws into the mass's shoulder, blood and dark fluids oozing from the violated flesh. With a far more gentle hand it opens the back door of the car and sets the mass up right in the back seat.
- "Dear God," says Emily backing up, "No..."
- The snake woman slithers away, licking her claws clean.
- "Wait," stops Emily, "there was nothing on the road..."
- She stops as the footage shows a swarm of red eyed pidgeons descent on the car and road, pecking up the mess but flying away from the car as...the street is kicked up by gunfire.
- "What the fuck?" says Emily aloud right before there is a blue light inside the back seat of the car, it turns into her, clothes and all...but not shoes apparently.
- Emily is breathing deeply and walking backwards...
- *A hail of machine gun fire destroys the window and the tvs.
- A woman's voice behind her, "This place likes to fuck with ya'."
- Emily turns to see a woman with wild hair holding machine standing in front of a non discript bottom floor to some abandoned building.
- "Come with me if you want to live," says the woman.
- "Uh..." says Emily.
- "Not a movie fan huh?" asks the woman, "Or...please tell me its not some classic relic film by now...oh jeez,"
- "No...I got it," says Emily, "its just..."
- "Good," says the woman, "now lets get the Hell out of the open,"
- As Emily follows, right before the door the woman turns and points her gun at Emily, "Wait...why'd she spit you up? Never seen her do that before....you poisonous? Packing something good you found?"
- The sound of a loud explosion and a plume of smoke from beyond the building distracts them. The woman lowers her gun and just stares at Emily before backing up and shaking her head, holding her head she screams and then *huffs*. She stands up and with a different calmer tone asks, "Who are you? Where am I?"
- She looks up and down the street, "Oh shit...those bastards."
- She gestures to the door and finds the handle locked, "Shit..."
- She takes a walkie from her pocket, "Come in home base this is Becky...I snapped back...I repeat I snapped back...open the door you bastards."
- "No can do," comes a voice over the walkie, "You know the rule, if someone goes insane, they go outside to be bait that night."
- "We have a new arrival," says Becky, "She can be bait!"
- Emily starts to back away from this woman, "What...what are you talking about?"
- "Street cleaning," sneers the woman called Becky, "Hold on.."
- She walkies back, "Please tell there is a girl out here and I am not still crazy..."
- "No there is a girl out there...River Alpha spit her up on the street....she is not coming in here."
- "Shit," says Becky, "thought I imagined that, wait...the tvs...we have a watcher out here then...the site is compromised!"
- "We know," comes the man's voice, "too late today, packing up tonight, when you come back tomorrow head to Site B-twelve."
- Becky sneers at the door, "Assholes,"
- Emily is running down the street, "Hey wait...oh shit."
- Becky looks to otherway to see rotting grey zombies are emerging from the dirt in the flower beds in the street medians. Becky runs in the same direction as Emily.
- "Becky," comes a woman's voice over the walkie, "try to lure them to Bob's Ambush site...for now the new arrival is on her own, don't know what game River Alpha is playing with her, but you may want to stay clear of it. Eyes in the sky tell me she emerged from the ruined Pet Store prior to its re-spawn event...wait..."
- She goes quite as Becky is actually jogging letting the shambling zombies keep her in sight.
- "Becky...seek shelter, forget the plan, Eyes in the Sky has confirmed, Sky Alpha just destroyed the Hospital."
- "Thing's been on a rampage these last few days," says Becky, "Not surprised, and also..."
- She clicks off the walkie, takes out a grenade and throws it at the zombies. Escaping during the plume into a gun store, and quickly through its upstairs door using some keys in her pocket.
- Emily stops and looks back hearing the explosion, she can't see the woman anymore, but the zombies are moaning as their arms and legs splint and brak in horrific ways, elongated into insect like shapes. They *Scream* and start to run down the street on all fours straight at her.
- "Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit, SHIT!" screams Emily running for up the back of a car to try and climb onto a bus as the zombie creatures are right behind her. Just as she gets atop the car, her face looking through the back door of the bus she can't really climb even this high up it, she hears a loud *SHIREEEEK!*. The reflection in the window shows a very fast shadow above her, and the zombies fleeing in the opposite direction.
- "Oh..." says Emily turning and standing on the car, "That...can't be a good sign...right?"
- Something hits her moving very fast knocking the wind out of her, and before she knows it her feet are hanging in the air. She is being held in a vice like grip, something wrapped around, her face buried in...black scale covered breasts, she turns her head to realize she is being held in a pair of scale covered arms with clawed hands. She can also make out it has a pair very large bat like wings, although they seem to be more like shadows, it has a beautiful grey face amidst the scales and blue lips. Its head adorned with a pair of horns like some dragon's crown.
- ******
- Becky climbs to the roof and watches the winged, clawed, tail with a red fuzzy tip, creature carry the new arrival off.
- She *sighs* as she hears gun fire down the road, her party gunning down the zombies that had fled.
- She walkies in, "This is Becky, I am on the gun store roof, sounds like you got those creepers, over."
- A woman's voice comes over, "Eyes in the Sky says Sky Alpha is leaving the area, looks like it made a dive at the creepers."
- "Nope," says Becky, "the gargoyle bitch grabbed up the new arrival."
- The channel is silent till a hispanic man's voice comes over, "Good, don't need another whore to look after anyway."
- A younger, perhaps a teen's voice comes over the com, "Hey!"
- "Am I wrong?" asks the hispanic accented man, "Isn't that why you're here?"
- "Cut the shit," says the woman, "None of us really know why we are here. Becky, I am getting word of another new arrival. Bob's team picked him up at the train station, looks like that fucking clown got to him. Bastard is snapped, Bob's team has him padded waiting for him to snap back."
- "Yeah," says Becky sarcastically, "wouldn't want to be mean to someone who is snapped..."
- The hispanic man chimes in, "You snap like once a week,"
- "Sure do," says the teen girl's voice.
- "Fuck you both," says Becky, "this place fucks with you and you know it...if you had my...my.."
- She drops the walkie as the street below surges up from something pressing through it below. A white foul smelling substance oozes up and moves of its own volition spreading across the ground. It pools and seems to solidify somewhat before large white crab like legs shot up from it, it oozes up into the air forming a crab like body with red eyes.
- "Fuck this!" yells Becky shooting at it, it merely turns and smashes her, and the gun store with its claw.
- Elsewhere a strong woman with long blond straight hair wearing army duds is sitting at a desk looking out the window at crab thing below walks off and eats the creeper zombies that were shot up.
- "See you tomorrow," says the woman drawing the blinds.
- She hears the sounds of rockets going off and the crab thing making a weird screaming sound.
- "Idiots," she mutters, "fucking idiots...."
- She looks angrily at a mirror in a darkened bathroom, "Eyes in the Sky...where is her nest? Where'd she take that kid too?"
- Her reflection smiles without her, eyes red, "Jelous? The great beast of the river and the great beast of the sky....what a flavor she must have..."
- The woman just glares at the mirror which responds, "She escaped the hospital, avoided so much, the great beasts fought over her...they are greedy creatures, that even I cannot know their intentions. I am but a reflection of all reflections in the city, save the nests of the great beasts."
- The woman turns on a light and her reflection goes back to normal, she walks back out and opens the curtains, the crab creature is melting as a sticky ooze through cracks in the street.
- "The white slime," says the woman, "as if that really hurt you."
