  1. Okay so I have a really bad habit of writing out penultimate scenes before I get around to writing out first scenes but holy shit I thought through Colovian West storylines penultimate scene in my head and I want to fuckin' do it real bad and I need to jot it down before I forget elements of it
  2. So like, its at the battle of Glenumbra Moors, the alessian army is present, at this point their holdings have mostly been on coastal modern day hammerfell in places that they contested against the direnni with, their army had been focused there. Goreius himself made landing on the south of the peninsula, and its in Glenumbra the direnni are doing their best to make their great stand, with a vastly outnumbered force, though bolstered by the hail mary actions of Twilight to ally The Merkiller with the mer, to avenge the humiliations and oppressions inflicted by the southrons and win a free new kingdom of Skyrim
  3. Goreius has this weird fuckin' war engine thing, a rather hypocritically used ayleid machine repurposed to be fueled by the souls of elves, rather than the souls of men as it's design originally intended
  4. Twi's whole personal role in the battle becomes to, alongside a manmer bodyguard assigned to her by Aiden Direnni (who is implied to be one of his own sons), to get on board the engine and disable it, a role that gets assigned to her because fuck we can't even get close to it, and you're naturally really good at teleportation, we're all going to die if you don't
  5. Long story short she destabilizes the ayleid soul engine and causes its collapse, the whole thing kinda exploding in this mildly reality warping burst of soulstuff being released, and in the wreckage she, her bodyguard, and Goreius himself stand, all of them with weapons blown far aside and Twilight's magic all fizzled out from pouring a shitton out into destabilizing the engine... and not only that but out of the swirling smoke steps Alessia, surrounded by moths and draped in silks with a long bronze butchers blade repurposed for war held in one hand
  6. Up until this point several times Alessia had appeared to twilight throughout the story, but in less bombastic ways and without it being clear 'This is alessia', and she only starts to suspect who this weird lady who she's kept encountering is when she's still encountering her as far south as Eplear's capital. She just appears from time to time, is a little cryptic about things, prompts her to think about metaphysical implications of things from time to time, etc. But this is the first time Alessia appears and its clear and obvious that this individual is divine, and the first time its in big empressy regalia and fashion
  7. Goreius recognizes her immediately and errupts into a mix of prayer and fervor, because who fucking cares if he lost the engine, Alessia herself has manifested from the side of the One and is here to ensure the battle is a victory, Twilight and her bodyguard just kinda stare onward in shock and horror because holy shit, this is the allessian faith's holy saint, why would she be here if not to fuck them over.
  8. Alessia steps to Goreius and commends him on his devotion and dedication to his beliefs, Twilight and bodyguard stand guard, and eventually Alessia calmly tells those present 'Behold, as I dismantle elven abomination.' Goreius thinks she's going to kill the manmer, manmer thinks he's gonna rip too
  9. and then Alessia sweeps her butcher's blade in a wide stroke and severs Goreius' head at the neck, the whole world slows as his head flies into the air and the blood spews from his throat in a bizarrely glittering shower that is elongated by the slowness of the world and even then goes on for far too long, as Alessia turns to Twilight, who struggles to ask the question 'why'
  10. The terrible elven abomination, or if you will, the Great Elven Lie, is the disgusting notion that change is an aberration. The concept that the natural and rightful state of existence is one that is static, and unyielding.
  11. The adherents of the lie claw and clutch at a world that desires to be something new, and waste their capacity for creation on shaping the world into something that comforts them. Old shapes. Dead shapes. Aldmeris in many forms. They build their kingdoms and concepts of beings on the principle of lasting forever, and spit and swear when they do not, and give these cursed failures a name: Lorkhan, Doom-Drum. If only they could fathom it, but they are so lost in their delusions-
  12. I have always told those around me that Shezzar was missing, but he's not very hard to find if one looks. Akatosh and Shezzar, Ald and Shor, Auriel and Lorkhan, Time and Space, so many very different names for the very same thing. The most truly beautiful and immutable part of this existence is that it changes. The very next day will never be the one before it. All tyrannies crumble, all kings die.
  13. Look about at these souls, what has become of my poor ape. I instructed him of the dozen faces of god in one, and the dualism of its being, and the need to excise the Elven Lie of change's aberration. But it seems it was all too much, and he and his congregations could not help but take the direction most literally. I ordained for them to fight this new war, and instead they have found their comfort in mine. Their own aldmeris, the genocide of the elf. Putrid and stagnant... They forget my aspects: mother, and revolutionary, above all else.
  14. Do you see now, Twilight? The elven lie? What must be purged? Never be satisfied with what you are in this one moment. Do not drown yourself in days long past. Crush your nostalgia in its poisonous nest and shape yourself ever forward into something greater. Reach heaven through this violence, and turn the wheel with your own hooves.
  15. And as she says all this she walks to the bodyguard and places the sword in his hand, and the blood showering around them from the stump of goreius' neck is like glistening rubies, and she tells him that one day his children will earn their own revolution by a blade much like this one, and then leaves it in his care, and then as she walks off into the dust kicked up by the collapse of the soul engine she dissappears, and the headless corpse of goreius crumples to the ground, and where once everything was drenched in blood its just a pool around his corpse spurting from his neck, and in the bodyguard's hand is the sword he had thought he lost in the explosion, dripping in the emperor's blood
  16. And that's how twilight learned to step forward into her new role as princess of equestria, truly and in stride, and abandon her attachment to her simpler days of being a unicorn
  17. becuz a slave queen who really likes seeing empires get torn to the dirt for their hubris told her to reach heaven by violence
