  2. Are you a student of English Literature? If so, you probably already know that William Shakespeare’s plays are still being reinterpreted and transformed as we rediscover new themes that make it unique in its own right. Much has been written about his plays in the past, and many aspects of his plays have not received much attention until the 21st century. This is when astrology, known in Renaissance England as alchemy, was used by Shakespeare as a major device to support his themes.
  3.
  4. In English Literature, alchemy and astrology have never played defining roles, but Shakespeare integrated them into the plots and subplots of his plays in order to illustrate the deeper philosophic meaning of the play. Shakespeare was proficient at creating images of the cosmos and the universe through his writings. Sometimes, the symbolism involved in his associations with astrology or alchemy helped broaden these ideas and themes within the play’s superstructure.

  6. Most science journals and philosophy books try to impose on their readers the belief that astrology is fake. According to them, it’s a pseudoscience performed through tricks and eyewash, however, no one has ever proved that it is technically unscientific. The hypotheses that are put forward challenge the existence of such knowledge of heavenly bodies, and also challenge the fallacy of the procedures. They range from Kuhnian science to various other objections printed in The Humanist magazine.

  8. The term ‘pseudoscience’ generally refers to a particular genre of knowledge which claims to be scientific but is actually not. These fields of study typically do not fall within the common norms of science. Astrology is sometimes called a pseudoscience because it is based on illegitimate data that one has to ‘feel’ other than ‘see’.
  9.
  10. There are also people who accept the Feyerabendian anarchist ideology, which states that it is not possible to distinguish science from pseudoscience. From this viewpoint, a simple explanation of astrology is that it is the science based on the astronomical or celestial movements with the movements of that on earth.

  12. Astrologers are of the view that the positions of the Sun, Moon, and planets at the time of a person's birth influence the characteristics of that person. Astrology is a complete form of knowledge in regards to the variations within it; it is not just science but also an art and a craft. The best part about it is that it attracts scholars and demands their full attention; no matter how much you learn, you still will be a novice.
  13.
  14. The central theme of this science is establishing the relationship of the events on Earth with that of the celestial bodies. Ancient scholars used to study the movements of the planets, sun, and moon in order to understand what’s happening on Earth.

  16. Astrology does not require any prior knowledge. These four steps ensure a definite understanding of astrology, so that you are able to start practicing immediately. Astrology is of Grecian origin and means astron, or movement of the stars. Just like Theology, its name is derived from holy origins. To enjoy astrology is to enjoy a pleasurable flow of harmony, join together the Essence of Knowledge of good and evil, and bring new peace to your life.
