  1. 01[20:26] <SpaceThor> After getting cleaned up, the mercenary comes in on crutches to your "kitchen" area. "Hey, they said this is where to get some food?"
  2. [20:27] <@Wei_Tian> "Correct. Take seat, witness magic."
  3. 01[20:28] <SpaceThor> She sits down. "Alright, I'm ready to see some shit."
  4. 06[20:29] * @Wei_Tian washes his hands and cooking area, then starts dicing vegetables rapidly. "I hear others already talk to you."
  5. 01[20:31] <SpaceThor> She shrugs. "Little bit, in between them apparently deciding to be my fairy godmother."
  6. 06[20:34] * @Wei_Tian tilts his head. "Fairy godmother?"
  7. 01[20:35] <SpaceThor> She taps the part of her head that Karin's plate is. "This one is apparently just gonna build me new guns, while pale-and-doctory volunteered to pay my contract until my foot heals."
  8. 06[20:41] * @Wei_Tian shakes his head. "They good people. Foolish, but good." He scoops the vegetables into a cooking pan and tosses it on the fire with a bit of seasoning, turning back to start preparing some meat. "You going to have to try harder with me." There's a slight smile, but his attention is directed at his work.
  9. 01[20:46] <SpaceThor> She laughs. "Just think I could have THREE people doting on me like a grandchild."
  10. 06[20:48] * @Wei_Tian raises a brow. "Not that old."
  11. 01[20:48] <SpaceThor> "No, that's not what I...you know what, never mind."
  12. 01[20:51] <SpaceThor> "So, what're you making?"
  13. [20:55] <@Wei_Tian> "Dish from home. Or, close as I can. Guo Bao Rou. Have to improvise sauce, but should be good."
  14. 01[20:56] <SpaceThor> "Look forward to it then."
  15. 01[20:56] <SpaceThor> "Three Kingdoms, I take it?"
  16. 06[20:58] * @Wei_Tian nods, turning to the fire and plating the vegetables, then starting the pork. "Live and train there until recently."
  17. [21:02] <@Wei_Tian> "Where you from?"
  18. 01[21:05] <SpaceThor> "Kansas. Born and raised. Then I got married to an asshole and moved to Louisiana. Then after I shot him dead for cheating, warden sent me here."
  19. [21:07] <@Wei_Tian> "Unfortunate. I know old comrade who cheat on his wife with fellow trainee. His wife find out, make him eunuch."
  20. 01[21:12] <SpaceThor> She laughs at that. "Can't say I blame her. Well, kind of obvious at that. I like it out here though, funnily enough. Just watching out for myself, rather than caring about family, or a jealous idiot husband."
  21. 01[21:13] <SpaceThor> "Got anyone like that in your life?"
  22. 06[21:14] * @Wei_Tian chuckles. "Not many this side of breach that like people like me. Trust hard to come back. In short, no."
  23. [21:14] <@Wei_Tian> come by*
  24. 01[21:16] <SpaceThor> "Hm, that's a shame. Man that can cook is quite the catch."
  25. [21:20] <@Wei_Tian> "I do much more than cook, too." He finishes the meat, and then spends another minute or so finishing up the sauce, before pouring it on top of the assembled pork and vegetables and sliding it over to her.
  26. 01[21:20] <SpaceThor> She takes a bite. "Tangy, I like it." She digs in.
  27. [21:24] <@Wei_Tian> "Good taste. Be even better if I have full kitchen."
  28. [21:25] <@Wei_Tian> "Frontier make good cooking hard, but true chef succeeds in spite of poor ingredients."
  29. 01[21:25] <SpaceThor> "I bet so. So, you got a Union card? Or just doing this for money or the hell of it?"
  30. [21:26] <@Wei_Tian> "I sent to help with old problem, now sent to help with this problem. No card. Other employer."
  31. 01[21:27] <SpaceThor> "I see." She grins. "Ulterior motives then. I like it."
  32. 06[21:28] * @Wei_Tian tilts his head. "Why you like that?"
  33. 01[21:28] <SpaceThor> "It makes things interesting. Little people in their lines doing what they're told...that's kind of boring isn't it."
  34. 06[21:30] * @Wei_Tian chuckles. "Maybe so. Not big fan of self-sacrifice like other two. Need more reason."
  35. 01[21:30] <SpaceThor> "I hear you on that. I'm not so big on dying for causes, or to be a saint."
  36. 01[21:30] <SpaceThor> "I figure, why start now."
  37. [21:31] <@Wei_Tian> "Then we keep each other sane til this over. Deal?"
  38. 01[21:31] <SpaceThor> She smiles. "Deal. Got enough in there for another round?"
  39. [21:32] <@Wei_Tian> "Should."
  40. 01[21:33] <SpaceThor> She passes the bowl back.
