Many's FFTA Trip

Bunny women, check. Moonless, check. Lizardmen, check. Pointless judges? Double check. Looks like we're in the world of Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. Pretty nifty place actually, society here revolves around clan battles. No deaths just knocking them out, and the losing team pays up. There's bunch of laws imposed at beginning of the matches and more or less depending on various factors.

Even if I am an ugly lizardman, I still am a hit with the ladies. Which really helped us out getting accepted into a minor clan. Sweet talking the female guild leader was never so easy. We didn't sit on our butts and let them do the work, opposite in fact. We were alternatives, letting those who already gone a few battles rest up. We partied a lot because with us they were finally winning again. The clan had fallen on hard times when a lot their members left for wealthier clans. Seeing how we didn't need wealth, we didn't need to go anywhere.

The mood of the entire setting got worse about half way through. There was a previously unheard of clan winning big. Also there's rumors of the Hume who'd destroy the world for he believes the world is just an illusion. It took a bit but we managed to catch up with the clan, and in an intense power struggle I remember his name is Marche.

Marche was the type who thought everyone should be miserable and he's always right. He was destroying clans left & right, and trying to tear down the pillars of this reality. He nearly succeeded but we put a stop to him, well I did. Normally you can't kill, but the Judges turned a blind eye for one battle. I wouldn't say it was quick, but other than Marche himself his classmates fell pretty easily. Marche was a tougher fight, mostly because I was holding back.

Why? Because I wanted to see just how far he'd take things. He did get me good, but in the end I pulled out Riyu Jingu Bang. Getting whacked with the magic quarterstaff isn't fun. I made sure to end it quickly after seeing he wouldn't back down. Quick strike to the head ended things rather quickly. We spent rest our time here piecing things back together. I hope our next trip isn't as gut wrenching as this one was.
