  1. This is something that I want and feel that I deserve. It is of utmost importance and that is why it is first on the list.
  2.
  3. I would appreciate a clear and precise list of what I can and can not do. That is the simple way of saying it. I would like to know where the line is that I can not cross with certain issues, because if you do not give me a line, I have to make my own and when I cross your imaginary line but have not crossed mine, then we have you a situation where I am breaking a rule that I didn't know I was breaking.
  4. This list is useless if it is not a physical written piece of paper. This line is highlighted because it is very important that this be physical. I say this because I want to be held to it, and I want to hold you (the parents) to it.
  5.
  6. I am not necessarily asking for more permissions than before. I just want to know where the line is that I can not cross. For example, it might say "A person has three (3) minutes to get off the computer if asked to do so by a parent." I would rather this list be long and precise than short and vague.
  7. I strongly believe that this list should be assembled as an entire family. Remember that nobody likes dictators.
  8. I have a proposed starting list of rules below:
  9.
  10. Family Rules:
  11.
  12. This signed family rules list, and the family rules which shall be made at an entire-family discussion in Pursuance thereof; and all Agreements made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of an entire-family meeting, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the family members in every location shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the rules document or Rules of any family member to the Contrary notwithstanding.
  13.
  14. - No person can receive below an 80% (B) in any of their classes for any finalized quarter grade, or they can be subjected to punishment for the duration of the following quarter of the school year. At the end of the following quarter, the grade will be reevaluated with the same criteria. If the finalized grade is below an 80% (B) for the fourth quarter, punishment can be assigned for any consecutive nine (9) weeks of summer or the duration of the first quarter of the next school year.
  15. - Cell phones, smartphones, tablets, laptops, iPads, computers, and similar computing devices can not be used during any family dinner that is being consumed at the kitchen table, or at any sit-down restaurant. They can temporarily be used only if they are being used to view or respond to important and time-sensitive communications regarding school, business, or other significant matters.
  16. - Under no circumstances outside of an emergency situation can anything edible be used as a projectile.
  17. - A person has three (3) minutes to get off of a computer if they are asked to do so by a parent. If they have not gotten off after three (3) minutes, they are in violation of the rules and can be subject to punishment.
  18. - Any legal tender United States Dollars that are below a 50 dollar ($50.00) denomination and are not in a designated money storage location or on somebody's person can be taken without warning, regardless of the owner.
