  1. Heralded by a mellifluous, melancholy swan song, Lorina drifts in from the west with two ephemeral
  2. cygnine wings unfurling behind her in a resplendent display.
  3.
  4. Lorina inclines her head politely to those around her.
  5.
  6. You have emoted: Avaris's attention shifts to Lorina, the glowing, stylised eyes of light upon his
  7. wings growing more stark in their luminosity. He does not return the gesture, and his voice is cold
  8. as he says, "You are a disappointment."
  9.
  10. Deftly raising her hand to cover her mouth, Lorina looks to you with mock shock and responds, "You
  11. deign to speak to me, you the mighty hero of the Empyreal?" She ends her musing with a short, curt
  12. chuckle before she turns back to Veldrin with a smile and a nod.
  13.
  14. You have emoted: The curving, immobile plates of Avaris's visored face remain as expressionless as
  15. ever as he stares at Lorina for a long moment, before uttering a slow, resonating note of utter
  16. contempt, sharp with derision. "You fling the wrong darts, wretch. Do you think She will forgive
  17. you? Do you even care if She does?"
  18.
  19. "I have no desire to seek forgiveness, for nothing wrong was done," Lorina trails off as she adjusts
  20. her stance placing her hand on her hip looking back from Veldrin to you over her shoulder. "I answer
  21. only to myself, now. The Light has proven to be -FAR- too weak," she says with malice in her tone,
  22. letting the words hang in the air like a cold chill of winter, her face turning back to the cocoon.
  23.
  24. You have emoted: The angle of Avaris's great, helm-like head shifts gradually, the ridged flare of
  25. his alabaster jaw gleaming in the sunlight as he studies Lorina. He turns, deliberately, to regard
  26. the fallen Goddess behind him, ensconced in the cocoon, and replies, evenly "Ah. Yes. You have
  27. clearly chosen the strongest force to back."
  28.
  29. Lorina runs her fingers through her chaotic hair of chromatic hues, scoffing at you as she returns
  30. her gaze back to the kephera. "I do not think you fully know where my loyalties truly stand," Lorina
  31. says she smirks turning to watch Veldrin depart, "I do not back anyone a part of this, any longer.
  32. Not in the sense you assume." Jabbing her hefty axe of crystal into the ground, she leans on the
  33. pommel returning to stare at the light-encased Goddess.
  34.
  35. You have emoted: A rippling cascade of rich, scornful notes forms Avaris's answering laughter, the
  36. sound short-lived as he turns his back to the cocoon. "You have proven that your loyalties shift and
  37. turn with the breeze. They are worthless, as a consequence. You are too fickle a creature." Lifting
  38. a massive, spiked shoulder in a languid shrug, continues, "You will turn to the next shiny object
  39. when it arises, no doubt."
  40.
  41. Trilling laughter escaping from her echoing throughout the ethereal glade, Lorina does not move
  42. despite the inane laughter escaping her. "My loyalties are to myself and to what can best serve my
  43. needs. Perception of loyalty is so mutable and malleable in actuality, that your own loyalty to the
  44. Empyreal stops you from seeing what is needing done when it arises," she says as she withdraws her
  45. axe from the soil, her hair wrapping around her and snaking about her form as the hues shift to dark
  46. indigo alined with azure. "I do not care that to others I look selfish and cruel, for I no longer
  47. worry about how others view me for I do what I believe is right, now."
  48.
  49. You have emoted: Extracting his upper right hand from beneath the cloak of his wings, Avaris turns
  50. his claws fingers aside in an unhurried arc of gleaming points of gold. "What happened to you,
  51. Lorina? How did you go from one so high in Her esteem to..." He gestures at Lorina in a vague
  52. gesture, disgust so thick in the chorus of his voice that is veritably drips from it. "This?"
  53.
  54. "Who says I haven't always been like?" Lorina says almost hissing in contempt as her indigo locks
  55. flare into crimson shades, wildly showcasing her rage in flailing locks in serpentine motion. Her
  56. poise now fractured, she hefts her axe over her shoulder, the huge axe much larger than her petite
  57. form. "You need not know my history, for what is done is done now. Forsaken followers, and chaste
  58. for too long in the shackles of supplication to silent Supernals." Her ethereal swan wings wave
  59. behind her as she turns to leave, trailing her as she stalks off with a purposeful stride.
