  1. In the north of Cyrodiil, the Colovian highlands and the Jerall mountains come together, with a single valley connecting the region to Craglorn. It is in this upland corner of Cyrodiil that the people who would come to be known as the Torellians first established their hillforts.
  2. The original Torellian culture emerged separately from that of the "true" Colovians; although distantly related, the two groups had separate origins, only coming in true contact during the migration period. The intermingling of the various tribes from both groups would result in the distinct culture centred on Chorrol.

  4. Alongside the native Torellians, as well as the many mountain tribes, Torellia is inhabited by enclaves of Cyro-Nords as well as communities of Colovian highlanders and Neo-Colovian colonies; the latter two live in isolated communities that grow increasingly more numerous as one travels further to the southwest, until Torellia finally gives way for Colovia proper. The most numerous minority in Torellia, however, is a later arrival that is nonetheless recognised not only as a native population but is highly respected among the majority population. These folk are, of course, the horned Men-of-Tor - Minotaurs.
  5. Tracing their ancestry to the sacred union of Saint Alessia and Morihaus-Breath-of-Kyne, the proud bull-men only came into existence in the third century of the First Era. Many of Perrif's descendants are mostly indistinguishable from their Cyrodiilian neighbours, the Minotaurs of Torellia remain primarily in their old form. Due to their size, the minotaurs have always preferred rural life, and Torellia was the perfect place for them. An important community, however, also formed centred on the holy city of Sancre Tor, many of its men finding employment as ceremonial guards.
