Xiulan was born in Hong Kong, China. She isn't very close to her father because he was always at work. Xiulan was always closer to her mo and brother. When her mom's fashion business became popular Xiulan saw her mom less and less. Eventually it was just her and her brother. Xiulan wanted to do something instead of staying at her house alone. She decided to ask her brother to let her join his dance studio. He agreed and they became a dancing duo. She would be the singer and he would be the rapper. They wee a local famous duo. Xiulan was always the cheerful girl everyone went to when they needed help or just someone to talk to. She had a simple school career getting good grades was social. She did join some of the school's plays because she does like to do acting in her spare time. When Xiulan was 15 she saw that JYP was holding auditions. Xiulan became excited and asked her brother to audition with her. He reluctantly agreed and went with her to South Korea to audition. The judges said that they would contact them if they got accepted, so Xiulan and her brother went back to China and prayed they got accepted. Two weeks later they got a call saying they passed and they were both so excited. Their mom agreed that  they could go as long as they were together as much as they could. Trainee life was hard for her because she didn't speak Korean at the time. She spent her mornings dancing and singing and her nights studying Korean. Eventually she learned enough Korean to talk with the others. Even during all that time she would always have a smile on her face.

Xiulan is funny, caring, and clumsy. Xiulan is probably the most happiest and innocent person you'll ever meet. Sometimes because of her innocent mind she'll become very gullible. Xiulan always smiles even if shes sad or mad she'll just hide it with a smile. She would never hurt a fly. Xiulan is very kind because if you need help or talk. Though it is a good thing it could also be bad because she can't say no. No is literally not in her vocabulary. Xiulan is very dedicated to her work. She will work on something for hours to make sure it is right. Xiulan becomes absent-minded a lot. When she is off in her own little world it is hard to bring her back. She has a very active mind. One minute she could be talking about one thing then shes talking about something completely different. She is a literal 5 year old. She is so childish. She loves to pull pranks and run around. Xiulan is a very energetic person she is always doing something like jumping, running or small hand dances. She rarely sits. Once she is asleep she is out like a light. Because of all that running around she becomes very tired. She will sleep anywhere.

Beginning - She is a bit awkward at first with him because she just met him and she notices that he is awkward with her also. But Xiulan being herself decided that she wanted to become a bit closer with him. She would often talk to him when the cameras aren't rolling and tries to get to know him. Xiulan really likes his personality and thinks he'll be really fun to hangout with. She often checks on him to makes sure he is okay.
Middle - They got a lot closer over time. They're always on the same teams (if they can for the challenge). They are always running around and chasing each other and joke around with each other. They love to tease each other. Jaehyun started calling her a nerd because he found out that she is quite smart and Xiulan calls him Jaejae or Hyunie to tease him back. She doesn't really like it when he talks with girls she doesn't know.
End - She has a big crush on him and she told her members. They give her looks whenever she is next to him. She still acts normal when she is around him besides the fact that whenever he compliments her she starts to blush. Other than the blushing she still likes to play games with him and joke around.

Beginning - He is very awkward around her. He is scared that he'll break her because she is so small and energetic. He always has his eye on her to make sure that she doesn't hurt herself doing something stupid. He often offers to get coffee with her so they can get to know each other better.
Middle - Xiulan is now his best friend. They are always together. They are always running around, teasing, and pranking each other. But Jaehyun being older is very protective and watches her to make sure she doesn't get hurt or in trouble. He gets jealous when she is around other guys. he doesn't like it because he knows how innocent and gullible she can be and that makes him worried about her. He watches her stages sometimes and thinks its the most funniest thing when she tries to be sexy but fails a little.
End - Jaehyun has a crush on her but doesn't really know it. He doesn't realize it until the end of the show. He is always hugging her and holding her hand but she doesn't know that it means he likes her because she just thinks he means it in a friendly way. He sometimes asks her group members how shes doing because he is his protective self. He often asks his members why does he feel this way and what he should do when he finds out that it turns that he likes her.
