As November arrives, the weather has suddenly turned chilly. This is Kinugasa.

Recently, my son has been caught up in a wave of Mario fever. During Halloween, he dressed up as a red Koopa Troopa and became full of energy.
(Note: Koopa Troopa is a turtle-like enemy character from the Mario series.)
Even when watching TV, he keeps saying, "I want to watch Mario, I want to watch Mario," and he just can’t seem to get enough of it. Seeing him love it so much, as a father, I thought about trying harder for him and maybe taking him to Universal Studios Japan someday. Will I really be able to make that happen…?

As for myself, I’m still dealing with a hernia, though I feel about 40% better compared to when it was at its worst. While I can’t work on creative tasks for long stretches like I used to when I was fully healthy, pushing myself just a bit seems to help. I hope to bring you all better news next time.

Now, let’s talk about the content of the second-year arc. This time, it’s a so-called spring break episode. I thought it might be nice to write a volume that’s calm, peaceful, and makes everyone happy. Oh, but this is just my personal sentiment, so please don’t complain if reality doesn’t align with it. I’ll leave it to you readers to experience the content for yourselves. With this volume, the second-year arc has reached its conclusion.

There are some parts that felt extra or didn’t fit into the main story, as well as scenes I had to cut with tears in my eyes due to page limitations. Although it's okay not to read it, reading it will deepen your understanding of the work... or maybe not to that extent. Still, it would be a shame to let such scenes remain buried forever. I think it’s nice to have the chance to present a spring break story with that kind of vibe somewhere.

In any case, I want to thank all of you readers for staying with me all this time until the conclusion of the second-year arc! However, the third-year arc is about to begin, so please continue to support me in the future as well! The third-year arc will likely return to its roots, focusing primarily on competition within the same school year, much like the first-year arc.

Even though the setting is the same, significant changes in dynamics should allow for a fresh and exciting story once again. Please stick with me until the end—I’m counting on you.
