>now thinks his parents were right, since he ended up in Hell the moment he tried to think outside the box
>the fact that everyone seems to make light of his "fire and brimstone" expectations only makes him double down on his fanaticism
>Lucifer also laughs, but had secretly began to make arrangements to ensure that the kid's parents WILL get the ol' fire and brimstone once their time's up
>meanwhile, Charlie is trying to convince anon that he's still alive (if in Hell), and that he still has a chance to go to Heaven
>because of that, everyone else tries to fuck with anon to corrupt him and ensure that he stays in Hell (though some do it with the rationale that Charlie STILL wouldn't be able to deal with the heartbreak that his pet human will go to Heaven when he dies)
>it's seriously starting to piss Charlie off, and her lashing outs are only driving anon further away from her - especially when the others bring out the "self-discovery" spiel to encourage him to sin

>...only to find his grand exodus to be met with disinterest - turns out, while he was hiding away, Charlie had a great falling out with just about everyone, and shoves some peeps' shit in for trying to make moves on anon
>now almost everyone sees her a possessive bitch (and mortie-fucker), so she had also isolated herself
>Vaggie is effectively in charge of the Hotel, and while she doesn't blame anon for their troubles, she does put him to work
>conflicted as ever, anon does what he's been told, all the while silently continuing to suffer his crisis of faith
>eventually, Lilith decides to set the record straight, and tries to explain to anon why he ended up in Hell
>however, without evidence to the contrary, he refuses to believe he isn't guilty
>...conveniently for him, his parents die of a car accident, and end up in Hell for their abuse and obfuscation of faith

>seeing them suffer in the inferno finally convinces anon that he was in the right (if off mark with the whole atheism thing)...
>...but he now absolutely refuses to help at the Hotel, since it would allow his parents to leave Hell - and it had just been revealed that their abuse was for naught
>it takes a while for him to calm down, while Charlie has to painstakingly (and uncomfortably) explain to him that Hell is where he'll have to live out the rest of his mortal life, and only through service would he be allowed to got to Heaven
>this finally gets anon to start working with the gang on the Hotel, albeit begrudgingly - while everyone else (including some Hotel residents) tries to get him off the straight and narrow path
>and many still believe that Charlie wouldn't be able to handle anon's death, so he's being tempted for both good and ill intentions
>while he resists, all of this does begin to shake his beliefs in a just God
