  1. [16:16:51] Grief. Vivica wasn't done with it, but the ookami who showed up before Legion was beginning to turn the conversation into one full of tension.
  2.
  3. Vivica hadn't the chance to get out any words of Raa'za's location in the cells and that he was in decent condition nor did she get time to express her concern for Mika, but it was apparent she was searching for Thom.
  4.
  5. The woman wanted to free Raa'za. Given the current state Vivica was feeling, which was absolute despair, being in that conversation was nerve wrecking.
  6.
  7. Before her was a woman who traveled from wherever she came from to free a family member. Being in Legion's arms felt like a prison, one that her parents could no longer free her from.
  8.
  9. Because they were dead.
  10.
  11. Kallistos had lied for her own good. Kallistos lied with Legion about his gloves. And Legion lied about his real name being.. Legion. Marcus, who Mika approached, freed her from his grasp and let her climb down gently. The little girl wiped away a tear from her cheek then reached for her mother's scythe on the ground, picking it up with little struggle.
  12.
  13. There were not words to express. There were no words to speak under the influence of hushed winds, but they weren't. Winds howled in the girl's ears. Citizens eyes watched the distraught girl roam the streets alone with a bright red face and eyes and shiny areas about her facial features from the stream of tears. They spoke, some even regarding the girl in question if she was ok.
  14.
  15. Vivica heard nothing but silence. That's all she'd ever hear from her parents again. Silence. They were gone. The more she attempted to remember how they separated the more it only clouded her mind of them. Desperately she wanted to lose those memories of their disappearance and their demise told but at the same time Vivica was eager to know how it happened. It was to feel at peace.
  16.
  17. The short child walked slowly around the ruined city along the pavement towards the White Tower with her scythe in both hands dragging a bit on the ground. The knife Thom had given her remained tied around her belt loop with cloth. Animal fur now decorated the lacey neck hole of her dress as well.
  18.
  19. Silver eyes gazed upward as another tear fell down her cheeks. She didn't realize it until she looked up that now she stood before the King of Loranthis. Before Thom. Her nose sniffled and the tear had dropped down her cheeks.
  20.
  21. "Thom..." Low and cracked, she managed to speak the word, but barely. What a rough day.
  22. (Vivica)
  23. [16:22:49] 'They tried.'
  24.
  25. The words had bothered him ever since he had heard them from the vampire's mouth. Golden hues were closed now, focusing on the mere thought. The fact that he had not tried before this, the fact that he had been following after notes and information when in fact perhaps he should have just stuck his hand straight into the attempts.
  26.
  27. Well then again he had not had a hand for it before. Now? The bandage covered depraved limb extended forwards as the man focused. Thom searched outwards, looking for a connection, some little way forwards in his studies to Helheim. Contact, even minor with some spirit of the realm. He felt something, something faint as the fingers of his left hand seperated before..
  28.
  29. It broke off. His attention was drained, drawn by into reality by the singular word. Thom's name. The golden glowing hues open, merley looking at hte child in front of them.
  30.
  31. "Vivica. Is there something you desire?"
  32. (Thom M. Takashi)
  33. [16:29:39] Vivica payed attention well to details most of the time. She had seen the man's arm extended and eyes closed, but the moment she called his name, his eyes opened and glared down to her.
  34.
  35. Her grip on the scythe loosened and she looked down. A dark shadow covered her eyes from her bangs hanging down to hide them.
  36.
  37. "I want to learn fire and lightning magic." A hand raised to wipe away at the tear again on her face. "Please?"
  38.
  39. Her voice was flat in tone and absent of the usual cheery tone she had. "I'm read to learn.. I want to survive. They aren't coming back."
  40. (Vivica)
  41. [16:35:37] She looked downwards, a sign of fear or depression he wondered. Regardless the red haired man would raise a brow, watching her grip on her weapon grow slightly more loose as an edgy shadow began to cover her eyes. Not something expected from a girl covered in pink clothes at the age of four.
  42.
  43. "Very well. You will be able to learn them. But let me ask you this first; Have you tried? Your first task is thus; Instead of asking if you can learn lighting or fire magic, try to do it. Feel the magic, imagine how it should feel and then comence it's ussage."
  44.
  45. With that said the red haired man closed his eyes once more. The connection to the spirit realm would take a few moments to reconnect as he attempted to get a feel for the spirits of Helheim, attempted to drag them into the world. Difficult to say the least but surely not impossible..
  46.
  47. It was a doorway in his mind. But unlike that when he summoned the elemental, this doorway would look crooked and decomposing.. Depraved as its nature.
  48.
  49. "Imagine what you want and stick your hand out. Try to control it. Try to create it."
  50. (Thom M. Takashi)
  51. Gained 8 Roleplay Points
  52. Your combat experience has grown! (1 BL Gained)
  53. [16:47:34] Legion had shown her a dragon made of fire over his hand when giving Vivica a brief explanation of the destructive magic. It was fire. A source of heat that she knew.
  54.
  55. Thom gave Vivica the task of feeling the magic and imagining how it should feel to commence its usage. Fire felt warm or hot and, according to Legion, it was tied with emotions of anger.
  56.
  57. However it meant to 'feel the magic,' she'd attempt to and just as his arm was held out, she'd find herself holding her palm before her facing towards the sky and placing her mother's scythe on the ground.
  58.
  59. "Feel the magic.." Again she sniffed her runny nose and wiped away at another tear with her free hand before holding it side to side with the other.
  60.
  61. "Fire is warm. Just like mommy was.." She closed her eyes for a moment tightly. "Kallistos lied to me.." She felt more pain and a bit angry with Kallistos, but she couldn't blame the man. He had done it for her own good. Right?
  62.
  63. A pink wisp again appeared to circle around the little girl's head. Vivica began to relax while attempting to summon fire above her hand like Thom or the way Legion had done it.
  64.
  65. Visibly a ball of something different appeared above her hand and grew in size, approximately an inch or two, but nothing more as it disappeared and her focus broke.
  66.
  67. "It's hard to feel it when I feel sad, Thom." She pulled back her hands and wiped yet again at another tear. She'd have to try again.
  68. (Vivica)
  69. [16:54:24] "Open."
  70.
  71. The door in his mind would begin to open, the depraved jagged material opening ever so slightly so that he could begin to bring it into reality. A vile and depraved stench could be felt in the physical plane, but only so much. Thom was a master at drawining in his elemental but other creatures from the spirit world? Not as much..
  72.
  73. Still, the door cracked open and power flowed. Perhaps a wisp of his own could be seen slightly overing to his left side, though it would be weak at the current moment. A singular eye stared towards the form of Vivica, an unfriendly glare as the glowing gold hues opened. It appeared that she managed to create a small blaze, but not more.
  74.
  75. "Do not feel sad then Vivica. Do not dwell on sadness. Think about revenge. Think about what caused you to feel sad and tear it appart." The eye would be brought into his palm before he crushed it, leaving a spirit's equivlent of blood to pool on the bandages of his left hand. A mere eye was not strong enough to satisfy him..
  76.
  77. "Try again."
  78. (Thom M. Takashi)
  79. [17:05:29] Vivica glanced back up to Thom after she had spoken to meet the illuminated eye of Thom that was open. She didn't pay and mind to the unfriendliness of it, but his words...
  80.
  81. Revenge. What made her upset? Of course it was the knowledge of her parents' death. It had also been the lying of Kallistos and Legion. Was revenge proper? Afterall Kallistos was only looking out for Vivica's well-being.
  82.
  83. That backfired, however.
  84.
  85. "I won't. I'll.. think about revenge..?" She asked questioningly. What was that anyways? Revenge. Another foreign word to the child.
  86.
  87. Her hands again extended. Anger festered in her shattered soul towards Legion and Kallistos at the current moment. "Kallistos lied to me.." A tear slowly made its way again down her cheek.
  88.
  89. "He said my mommy and daddy were alive.. but.. they're gone. They aren't coming back." Towards the end her voice cracked and lowered. She had seen the blood from something Thom crushed soak into the bandages on his left arm. It was obvious Vivica wasn't happy. Her expression gave away the anger.
  90.
  91. "He lied to me!" With a shake of her head she again attempted to focus. A second time attempting to summon magic. This was all new to her and thus the ball of mana formed above her hand. A strange spark of electricity flowed freely down her arm and spoked her suddenly, causing her to jump back.
  92.
  93. "Wha- What was that?!" It didn't harm her, but it had been a thin, faint line of lightning magic that sparked from her form she had seen! The fireball, however, was a fail to compose again.
  94. (Vivica)
  95. [17:11:28] "Exactly. Think about revenge. Think about how they lied to you, how they didn't care enough to tell you the truth." The red haired man encouraged, seeing Vivica once more attempting to use the fire magic. But instead what occured was a faint spark. Interesting. Not exactly the magic he had been intending to teach but.. "That is lighting. Weak but there. Again."
  96.
  97. With the order issued the red haired man once more crafted the depraved looking doorway to the spiritual realm in his mind, his left arm reaching into it. It was much like how he summoned his elemental now, nearly shattering the door appart, tearing it off its hinges and stealing the essence, the power from within the realm itself to place it into the world.
  98.
  99. This one was slightly bigger. Taking around a minute or two to summon a frog that was a reddish hue would have been produced, attempting to hop around. Four eyes on it might be seen before once more the spirit would be crushed by Thom's fist, a gritting of his teeth.
  100.
  101. "Not good enough."
  102. (Thom M. Takashi)
  103. [17:25:58] Revenge wasn't the answer to Kallistos' lying, but Thom had been encouraging it. Was that the best ideal to have? Kallistos wanted to take her to Cinderfall as well, a place Thom loathed more than any other. He had a desire to burn it as Legion wanted Vivica to help bring Valmasia to its knees.
  104.
  105. Those situations were upsetting. Vivica would never see the face of her parents again. The thought was straining for her, but it was enough to survive. Her parents died to help her, it was the least she could do.
  106.
  107. Revenge.
  108.
  109. If it was pressed anymore into her mind, it was possible it may play out in the future in her favor against Kallistos, then again that man had the audacity to help her with stabbing and balance techniques for blose ranged combats.
  110.
  111. "Lighting? I'll try again, Thom." Her hands again rose up. Vivica felt more focused until distracted by a crimson frog with four eyes summoned and crushed. Although his final words weren't directed to her, she'd try again to summon a ball of fire.
  112.
  113. Mana flowed through her body and into her hands. Warmth. Heat. She needed to feel and embrace it. She didn't feel anger, but calamity. Another simple ball of mana formed, but, for a third time in a row, poofed without fully forming.
  114.
  115. Again it was annoying. Another spark of power freely zapped over her form without much notice. Vivica felt spiteful and angered. She focused harder and thus for a fourth time she was successful in summoning fire. Small, but it was there! She let out what appeared to sound as a sigh of relief!
  116.
  117. "Thom, I did it. Can you teach me more?"
  118. (Vivica)
  119. [17:37:04] He would beaten her, "Just another Dog. A pathetic animal. Hauk Fildeguard thinks that, I hope you should know. You were just another pawn in his game. You're too blind and foolish to notice anything. He wanted to carry genocide against them. He hated the fuckers." HE would lead her on, the cuffs jingling as she was led on. Before the king.
  120.
  121. Before the ne she wanted to meet, "Thom... Cinderfall sends its regards!" He would throw Mika there before him, "I was going to execute her on the spot... but she said something of betraying her former allies. Perhaps her fight or flight instict kicked in, and she said anything that would stay the blade... in any case, my king. Here she is." He would kick her forward.
  122.
  123. He was eager to get on with it. If he didn't have anything to do with her, he was going to assure that he got all the information he could. Whether by choice or force he would take everything that he needed. Everything that he wanted. He would remmber something a family member had done to her brother.
  124.
  125. Maybe that.
  126. (Legion Hertlend)
  127. [18:00:57] To teach more? With the blood of the creatures he summoned covering the white bandages Thom looked up, glancing towars Vivica. "I suppose I can teach you some more. But it seems like you are getting a bit of the hang of it already.. Try. Direct your power forwards. Fire it off as some sort of bolt." the red haired man would encourage before hearing another approach.
  128.
  129. "Legion." The emerald inquistor had appeared, greeting him with a gift. A bit of a grin came over the red haired man's face as the golden glowing hues stare towards Mika. "Indeed, it appears that they did. It is strange.. I tell you to come speak to me Mika and you go talk to others instead. Very well." With that said Thom looked upwards towards Legion.
  130.
  131. "Oh. By the way, our friend in the cells. For the time being I would like for you not to torture him. The Outlaws wish to trade him for Maxwell. I am looking at our options and would like him alive and not very harmed until that occurs." The King simply stated before looking towards Mika.
  132.
  133. "A bit of an arguement Mika.. This is.. A little bit more then just a bit." Thom stated calmly, a bit of a brow raising as he stared towards his aunt. "Reguardless. What work have you made towards killing her then? Have you pointed a blade at her yet like I did?" It appeared he was questioning her but there was something else..
  134.
  135. His eyes were hazy.. As if he were focusing on something in the distance, or perhaps not something physical at all. His mind was drifting towards the door, attempting to haul it open. At this point the door was merely broken open and the power poured into hte physical plane. A raven with three eyes would come to perch upon the red haired man's shoulder as he continued to stare before focusing once more on the all around.
  136. (Thom M. Takashi)
  137. [18:12:03] Thom had accepted teaching her more! This was great, exciting, and Vivica felt thankful yet again. Thom who had let her stay in Loranthis was going to.. in a way, train her.
  138.
  139. This time his instruction was for Vivica to fire a bolt of some sort forward. Fire? Lighting? She gave a nod of her head and faced her palms near Thom's direction, but the moment she intended to focus on her power, Legion had shown up with Mika who was beaten.
  140.
  141. Vivica's eyes widened, but there wasn't a place for her in this conversation, or was there? Instead she moved towards Thom's side before Mika was thrown before him.
  142.
  143. Owl was not to be tortured anymore for a man named Maxwell as the Outlaws wished to trade him for their ally. Mika apparently had a plan to kill a woman named Liara with another named Gregory Fantabulous of the Bulwark.
  144.
  145. All Vivica had done was raise a brow with concern. Who were these people? How did they all tie together in this conversation? With a tilt of her head, Vivica would question.
  146.
  147. "Who are those people, Thom? Liara, Gregory.. um.. Fantblous? Oh, and Ryan! Who are they?" She loved detail and obtaining information. Loranthis was her home now. She hadn't a family anymore unless she wanted to consider Thom a father, but most likely he wouldn't accept that type of thing.
  148.
  149. Either way, maybe she would. For now, she stood short at his side and looked up to him for an answer though she spotted a raven upon his shoulder and furrowed her brow and squinted.
  150.
  151. "Um.. what's that, Thom?" So many questions!
  152. (Vivica)
