DrArtemis: *I stand, looking out over a serene landscape with a placid pond, filled by a lovely waterfall...*
Selene: (Oh my. Any specific outfit or anything Selene should be wearing?)
The Narrator: (Selene is with him due to that potion she drank, right?)
Selene: (Yeah)|
DrArtemis: OOC: Remember, Selene has entered my dream. What she does is up to her.
The Narrator: (I would never control what anyone does.)
Selene: (Ya know. It seems to fit the scene)
Selene: -I slowly gather my senses as I study my surroundings-
DrArtemis: *I look abour and spot Selene, nude*
DrArtemis: Oh... my.
DrArtemis: Miss Selene... you're naked.
Selene: -I glance over to him and then blink- Well... So are you.
DrArtemis: WHat?!
DrArtemis: *I look down*
DrArtemis: Oh my word!
DrArtemis: *I attempt to hide my privates*
Selene: -I slide down a rock and walk over- Is this... What I think this is?
DrArtemis: No!
DrArtemis: I mean... yes?
DrArtemis: Wait... What are you talking about?
The Narrator  thunder begins to rumble in the sky above...
Selene: We... Took that stuff Xen gave us.
DrArtemis: Miss Selene, you're ver distracting.... Oh. What's that?
The Narrator  The clouds begin to roll like waves...
DrArtemis: It sounds like an approaching storm.
Selene: -I glance up- We should find shelter...
DrArtemis: Looks like it too.
DrArtemis: We can't be caught out in the open like.... this.
The Narrator  The sky begins to darken at an alarming rate.
DrArtemis: *I look around...*
DrArtemis: Maybe under the falls?
Selene: Sounds like a plan.
DrArtemis: *I grab her hand and pull her with me*
Selene: -I squeak and follow along-
DrArtemis: *I run around the pond*
The Narrator  The surrounding greenery begins to recede into the distance, as if the lake is stretching outward on all sides.
DrArtemis: *I hurry towards the cavern opening...*
Selene: -I jog along behind him- almost there.
The Narrator  The sky and clouds become a strange shade of violet, like a nebula.
Selene: Unsettling, but pretty...
The Narrator  The lake seems almost to spread into infinity, and all signs of the surrounding land disappear, except the shore.
DrArtemis: *we enter the cavern*
DrArtemis: I see a fire.
Selene: -I settle by the wall- Yeah... We might have stumbled onto someone's camp.
The Narrator  The clouds and the lake seem to join together, and the clouds form waves which crash against the shore.
Selene: (Are there no regular dots in here.)
DrArtemis: OOC: Loren, are you going to make use of the props already here?
The Narrator: (We can assume what's inside the cave remains for now.)
DrArtemis: OOC: OK.
DrArtemis: *we see beautiful nymphs waiting within by a pair of natural ponds*
Selene: Oh... -I duck slightly behind the Doctor-
DrArtemis: *I cover my privates again*
The Narrator  The mouth of the cave begins to widen...and widen further...
DrArtemis: Oh... excuse me.
The Narrator  The air grows colder.
DrArtemis: *I look behind me and see the bizarre, widening mouth*
DrArtemis: Brr. It's freezing in here.
DrArtemis: *I move closer to the fire*
Selene: -I stay close to the doctor and sit by the fire as well- So... We have to make it through your dream, huh.
The Narrator  Now, beyond the cave mouth is only the shore of an infinite lake, with waves that seem made of the clouds themselves rolling and crashing.
DrArtemis: OOC: Do you want to move to another room?
The Narrator: (This is fine.)
The Narrator: (Unless Heo wants to.)
Selene: (Nah I'm fine)
The Narrator  The nymphs seem strangely familiar, but the Doctor can't quite place where he remembers them from...
DrArtemis: *I stand and stare at the bizarre, changing landscape*
DrArtemis: *I turn to the closest nymph...*
The Narrator  For some reason, the more the Doctor focuses on any individual nymph, the more vague her features become.
DrArtemis: Excuse me, why does the land and water do that?
DrArtemis: *I blink a few times*
The Narrator  She merely giggles gently.
DrArtemis: *I stare for a moment longer...*
Selene: Doctor... If this is a dream... Maybe we should ask ourselves?
The Narrator  Something nags at the Doctor's mind... Did he read something once about a cave full of nymphs just like this?
DrArtemis: A dream...?
Selene: I... think I blacked out at the library and then came too here...
DrArtemis: ....Odysseus.
Selene: Unless we were kidnapped... Maybe Xen's medicine had us both dreaming?
DrArtemis: Odysseus found a land of beautiful nymphs....
The Narrator  The realization rings true in his mind. This is his image of the myth...
DrArtemis: They took him to Calypso, their queen.
DrArtemis: Or was it Circe?
DrArtemis: Dido?
DrArtemis: No. No, it was Calypso.
The Narrator  The cave mouth continues to give way to the shore and the cloud waves beyond...
The Narrator  It almost feels like two competing dreams at once...
Selene: -I scoot against the doctor as my attention is drawn to the entrance-
DrArtemis: *I hold onto Selene*
The Narrator  And with each passing moment, the image of the cave and its nymphs shrinks around them, slowly being replaced by endless water, and cloud, and...space...?
DrArtemis: *I blink*
Selene: -I blink as well- Uhh
The Narrator  A constellation begins to shine in the sky directly outside the cave, one the Doctor has seen before...
DrArtemis: *I look up at it*
The Narrator  The black sky turns white, and the stars...turn black...
Selene: -I flinch back and squint against it- What in...
DrArtemis: Oh. I've seen this before....
Selene: Hm?
DrArtemis: It was in an episode of Star Trek.
The Narrator  Two bright lights shine in the distance... Two suns...which slowly sink...
DrArtemis: The Enterprise entered a negative dimension.... And they started getting younger.
DrArtemis: *then I focus my attention of the twin suns as they disappear*
The Narrator  Time feels like it's passing at an impossible rate, as the suns sink behind the lake.
Selene: Oh? -I tilt my head- Well... I hope that doesn't happen here...
The Narrator: The black stars cast white shadows within the cave, shadows which grow longer and longer...
Selene: -Instinctively I move away from the strange shadow-
DrArtemis: Oh, I don't know....
DrArtemis: I wouldn't mind shaving off a decade or two.
The Narrator  Bright moons begin to rise from the nebula clouds, and arc across the sky... It feels as if months are passing in seconds...
Selene: Yeah, but I only have a decade or two to me. -I try to lighten the mood. My eyes are still focused outside of the entrance of the cave-
The Narrator  They both realize the nymphs have all disappeared. When did that happen? Somehow it feels as if it happened long ago, or never happened...or they were never there at all...
Selene: -I grip the Doctor's hand as I notice this-
DrArtemis: Curious place.
Selene: Yes... But not a good kind of curious...
The Narrator  There is the faintest sound, from far, far away... It sounds like...singing...
DrArtemis: *I turn and listen* The sirens?
The Narrator  It beckons to the Doctor with a terrifying beauty...
DrArtemis: They tempted Odysseus's crew.
The Narrator  Beckoning him toward the shore...
DrArtemis: And... it tempts me.
DrArtemis: *I step towards the shore...*
Selene: -I grip the Doctor's hand-
DrArtemis: *I pull against her grip*
DrArtemis: So beautiful....
Selene: Doctor... -I pull on his arm-
The Narrator  It's fascinating, ominous, compelling, impossibly beautiful...
DrArtemis: Miss Selene, don't you hear them?
The Narrator  Selene does not feel the same effect.
Selene: I do, but they're calling you... -I step in front of him-
The Narrator  Only the Doctor feels so drawn toward it.
DrArtemis: Miss Selene. You're in the way.
DrArtemis: *I try to step around her...*
The Narrator  With each step the Doctor takes, more and more of the cave and its interior disappears into the clouds.
Selene: -I keep in front of him- I'm trying to be distracting...
DrArtemis: Oh. Well... you are.
DrArtemis: *I look at her again, slowly, up and down...*
DrArtemis: *I begin to become aroused...*
The Narrator  The serene and eerie song rises in pitch, calling him onward...
DrArtemis: I...
Selene: -I nod as I stand so he can get a good look- Hey now. Why don't we stay here
Selene: It's warmer here.
DrArtemis: I... yes. Yes. Warmer.
The Narrator  It can now be heard that there is not one, but several voices singing together...
Selene: It's so terribly cold out there. -I step against him and press my breasts against his chest-
DrArtemis: The sirens.... Their song....
DrArtemis: oh! Oh my.
Selene: -I reach up and cover his ears with my hands as I stand against him-
DrArtemis: Miss Selene, you're trying to seduce em.
DrArtemis: ^ me
DrArtemis: ....Aren't you??
Selene: If it keeps you from walking into space, I will.
DrArtemis: Oh...
The Narrator  Suddenly the Doctor recognizes the star cluster...
DrArtemis: *I hold onto her arms, trying to shut out the siren singing...*
The Narrator  The Hyades...
DrArtemis: OOC: I wasn't really looking up at the stars, you know.
The Narrator: (They are not 'up')
DrArtemis: *I spot the Hyades, over Selene's shoulder*
Selene: -I press against him and keep my hands over his ears. Trying to use a combination of skin contact and the covering of his ears to distract him from the sirens-
DrArtemis: The Hyades.... The Eye of the Bull....
The Narrator  Selene's efforts do in fact dampen the song...
The Narrator  The Doctor somehow knows that it is the stars which are calling him...
Selene: -I look up at him and watch his face-
DrArtemis: *I try to ignore the song*
DrArtemis: *I look away from the star cluster*
DrArtemis: *I look at Selene...*
Selene: -I smile to him-
DrArtemis: *I pull her closer to me, our bodies pressing against one another....*
The Narrator  The pull is strong. The Doctor feels as if he is fighting something within his own self.
DrArtemis: Miss Selene... I've never felt this way before... to you.
Selene: -I press close to him- We need to stick together to get out of this. I admire you.
DrArtemis: I... have admiration for you as well, Miss Selene.
DrArtemis: *in fact, my admiration is pressed up against her*
Selene: (Hee hee)
DrArtemis: Oh dear. How embarassing.
Selene: It's ok.
The Narrator  The cave is no more, and where once there was shelter and fire, there is now only darkness, darkness which slowly gives way to the whiteness of space...
Selene: -I cling tightly to him-
DrArtemis: The negative universe....
DrArtemis: Spock managed to fly the Enterprise through a nova to escape.
Selene: -I look around- How could we do that here?
The Narrator  The song grows louder, so alluring and hauntingly angelic...
DrArtemis: ....I'm not sure.
DrArtemis: Oh... That song...
The Narrator  Silhouettes begin to form on the horizon of the vast misty lake...
Selene: -I keep the doctor's focus on me. I wrap a leg around him to keep myself tight to him-
The Narrator  Three? They are...cities...
DrArtemis: *I close my eyes and press against her...*
DrArtemis: *I bury my face in her bosom...*
DrArtemis: Mmmm...
The Narrator  The moment he closes his eyes and no longer sees Selene, the vastness of space and its clusters of stars and the distant cities fill his mind...
Selene: -I pet his head as I cradle his head against me-
DrArtemis: Oh!! *I snap my eyes open!*
Selene: Hmm?
The Narrator  The images become less severe as he reopens his eyes.
Selene: -I try to catch his gaze- What is it?
The Narrator  Yet, as he does so, he feels an immense fatigue, as if he yearns to sleep for ages...
DrArtemis: *I take Selene by her hips and pull her close*
DrArtemis: *I rub against her, trying to fight the wildly different feelings....*
Selene: -I press close to him and wrap my arms around him-
DrArtemis: Miss Selene... I need you.
Selene: I'm here.
DrArtemis: Yes...
The Narrator  But the song... The song is so...so irresistible...
DrArtemis: Cover my ears! I'm going in!
Selene: -I cover his ears as I bite my lip-
DrArtemis: *with that, I plunge into her!*
Selene: -I gasp slightly as I wrap my leg tighter around him- Oh~
The Narrator  The singing dulls as the sensation fills the Doctor's senses.
DrArtemis: *I thrust forward--I take her forcefully*
Selene: -I moan as I press against him- Do what you need~
DrArtemis: *I thrust angrily as I determine to beat this alien wailing*
Selene: -I pull his head against mine as I sense what he's doing. I press my lips to his-
DrArtemis: *I kiss Selene deeply...*
The Narrator  Shadows lengthen from the black stars, each seeming to beckon to him to look at them, just for a moment, just look...
Selene: -I kiss him back deeply as I move with him. My breasts rub against his chest-
The Narrator  Selene notices these shadows all vying for the Doctor's attention, trying to take his gaze away from her...
DrArtemis: *I drive into Selene! Again! Again!*
Selene: -I reach for his thoughts as I try to draw all of his attention to me- Yes~ Doctor~ Just like that~
DrArtemis: *I flutter my eyes open and shut, open and shut... not allowing either of the opposing forces to take hold of me for more than a split second*
The Narrator  So weary...so tired... If he could only sleep...
DrArtemis: *I thrust again and again and again....*
Selene: -I use my leg to pull against him as he thrusts. I moan softly as I give myself to him-
DrArtemis: *I expode within her!*
The Narrator  The singing ceases.
Selene: -I gasp as I cling to him- Doctor~
The Narrator  The stars turn white, the sky turns black.
DrArtemis: Oh!! Oh the magnificence!
The Narrator  The cities and shadows disappear.
The Narrator  Everything disappears.
The Narrator  All that remains is the two of them.
DrArtemis: *I hold Selene tighter than before*
Selene: -I pant softly as I hold close to him- Are you here?
The Narrator  And then they awaken.
