- LILITHPORT ALPHA
- --------------------------
- LilithPort Alpha is a new experimental branch of LilithPort, tweaked by Altilt.
- It features updates to the newest LilithPort Version (1.08).
- The main reason to use 1.08 is for UPnP, a means to connect via LilithPort without relying on Port Forwarding.
- LilithPort Alpha mainly features a partial translation from the currently Japanese-language-only version.
- Alpha also features additional security updates, although only very minor ones.
- Alpha is cross-compatible with other LilithPort versions. We highly suggest using Alpha, but believe it might have some issues running on certain machines, so it isn't included as our current default.
- --------------------------
- HOW TO SWITCH TO ALPHA
- --------------------------
- First, make sure these are installed. There's a good chance you have these, but doesn't hurt to make sure:
- Visual C++:
- .NET 3.5:
- Once those are installed, simply drag and drop the LilithPort.exe into the main folder, then launch. That's it, you're done.
- --------------------------
- HOW TO SWITCH USE UPnP
- --------------------------
- Before making a joining a server, click "On" in UPnP toggle.
- That's it. You should be able to challenge players without using Port Forwarding.
- --------------------------
- BUGS & UNFINISHED ASPECTS
- --------------------------
- The currently known main issue is that not all windows are fully translated. Most are, though.
- While Alpha and other versions of LilithPort are cross-compatible, we're unsure exactly what issues may arise using Alpha against older clients.
- There will be a thread in the PKMNCC #bugs section (as well as a Github repo) for LilithPort Alpha issues.
- Please any concerns about Alpha in those places.
