  9. Customization
  10. In Driving Empire, one of the main features of the game is the ability for players to customize their cars. This can be done by driving a car into the Customization Garage, or by using the Mobile Customization which can be purchased for $50,000 or via gamepass for 50 . From here, players can adjust the paint color, the rims, the performance of the vehicle, and much more. This article will cover all available options within the customization menu.

  12. Customization
  13. Overview
  14. The Appearance section of the customization menu is purely cosmetic changes that do not affect the performance of the car. In this section, players can customize the paint color, change the rims, purchase bodykits and more.
  15. Note that some options will not be available on certain vehicles due to the nature of said vehicle. For example, a boat will not have a Rims section as the vehicle does not have any wheels.
  16. Description
  17. The Primary option allows players to paint their vehicle any color they so choose. Prior to December 4th, 2020, there were only a list of preset colors available, with a color wheel and reflectance slider added after this date. The reflectance values ranged from 0 to 1, in 0.05 increments. The color wheel had a brightness slider to the left of it, but did not have any support for using exact values until RGB support was added on April 10th, 2021.
  18. Description
  19. The Rims option allows players to customize their rims, whether it be to paint them or change them entirely. Upon choosing the Rims option, players are greeted with two sub-options: Paint Rims and Rim Type. Prior to December 23rd, 2021, there was no sub-option menu, and the only option was to paint the rims.
  20. The Paint Rims sub-option works similarly to the Primary paint option, with only preset colors until December 4th, 2020, where it received a color wheel and reflectance slider. However, the list of preset colors was reduced to just four. RGB support was added on April 10th, 2021, similar to the Primary section.
  21. The Rim Type sub-option was added on December 23rd, 2021, and allows players to change the rims entirely to an aftermarket set. These cost cash to apply, with a couple exceptions.
  22. Click expand for the full list of aftermarket rims the player can use.
  23. Description
  24. The Body Kits option was added on December 23rd, 2021 and allows players to modify their car's body using preset packages. Some vehicles have multiple bodykits, while others may only have one. This option also has sub-options for custom spoilers and, in some cases, grilles. All options cost cash to apply.
  25. Click here for the full list of cars with bodykits.
  26. Description
  27. The Calipers option allows players to paint the brake calipers of the vehicle and functions the same as Primary does. Players can change the color by using the color wheel, entering an RGB input, or picking a preset color from the list available. See the Primary section for more information regarding the evolution of paint colors.
  28. Description
  29. The Secondary option was added on December 4th, 2020 and functions the same as Primary does. However, this option is usually reserved for painting accents, such as stripes. Players can change the color by using the color wheel, entering an RGB input, or picking a preset color from the list available. See the Primary section for more information regarding the evolution of paint colors.
  30. Description
  31. The Chrome option was added on December 4th, 2020 and allows players to paint chrome parts such as exhausts and, in certain cases, trim pieces. Players can change the color by using the color wheel or picking a preset color from the list available, with RGB support added on April 10th, 2021, similar to the Primary option. However, the list of primary colors is the smallest out of any colour option, with just two preset colors in total.
  32. Description
  33. The Interior option was added on December 4th, 2020 and allows players to paint the interior of the car, primarily the seats. Players can change the color by using the color wheel, entering an RGB input, or picking a preset color from the list available. See the Primary section for more information regarding the evolution of paint colors.
  34. Description
  35. The Spoilers option was added on December 4th, 2020 allows players to alter or place a spoiler on the rear of the car. Most options cost cash to apply, with a couple exceptions.
  36. Description
  37. The Wraps option was added on December 4th, 2020 and allows players to replace their primary color with a pattern instead. Note that the wrap can still be painted using the Primary color option. Most wraps cost cash to apply, with a couple exceptions.
  38. Description
  39. The License Plate option was added on December 4th, 2020 and allows players to change their license plate number. The license plate can hold up to seven characters and costs $1,000 cash to change.
  40. The ability to change the license plate state was added on July 9th, 2022. Players can change their plate states for $5,000 cash.
  41. Description
  42. The Police Mode option was added on March 12th, 2021 and allows players to add sirens to the top of their car, provided they have the Police Job gamepass. This costs $10,000 cash to apply.
  43. This is the only option in the Appearance section which requires a gamepass to unlock.
  44. Overview
  45. The Performance section of the customization menu allows the player to upgrade their vehicle's performance, thereby making the vehicle quicker and faster. This section, and most of its options, were added on December 4th, 2020. The performance upgrades are mostly universal and cost cash to apply, with a few exceptions.
  46. Description
  47. The Suspension option allows players to alter their vehicle's ride height, wheel camber, and wheel offset. The cost of these modifications scale with the change in one of the aforementioned settings, so the more the player changes the suspension, the more it costs.
  48. Prior to July 9th, 2022, the only option was to alter the suspension height. There were five options for suspension height: Lowered, Normal, Lifted, Extra Lifted, and Tank, with the latter two being added on December 23rd, 2021.
  49. Description
  50. The Engine Upgrades option allows players to upgrade the engine's performance, to make the car faster and accelerate quicker. When they were first introduced in December 4th, 2020, the modifications were a lot stronger, but have since been nerfed a couple times. This option is the only performance option that is globally available, including boats and helicopters, and has the most extreme cost scaling of all performance modifications.
