- - Mandibuzz primarily exploits weaknesses:
- - loss of speed control once dead
- - not grounded, so it does not fully benefit from Misty Terrain
- - Tailwind and Misty Terrain do not last long, so careful watch is needed (Koko is best counter to this situation)
- - Garchomp is slower than other Garchomp, so watch for other Garchomp in case the opposing Garchomp has Dragon Claw.
- - Lead with Fini and Mandibuzz primarily, unless Muk or Bulu is on the opposing team. (Do not use Fini to lead in this case, but you must lead with Mandibuzz regardless)
- - Do not switch out Mandibuzz so early unless 100% necessary. Misty Seed lasts until it switches out, so be aware of Togedemaru, Garchomp with Rock Slide (possibly), Aerodactyl, and Tapu Bulu with Rock Slide (possibly)
- - Arcanine is not fully a bulky defensive support mon, so unless you really believe you can live Earthquake or Rock Slide (ex. Rock Slide users such as Garchomp, Aerodactyl or Tapu Bulu at -2 Atk), then do not stay in with Garchomp.
- - Switch Koko out immediately if you run into SD Garchomp.
- - Be aware that Kartana is not Focus Sash, so it cannot save itself. Switch in at the right time and use All-Out Pummeling, because Kartana cannot and will not live long.
- - Do not rely on Fini to be your offensive attacker, its SpA is not very high like most Fini.
