- Drake, The Red Demon
- Drake was born of an average middle-class merchant family, though was often on the road rather than in a town. His father was born of an old, but now phased out nobility, that took pride in breeding their deep red skin, in a desert country and took to the road when his family's wealth was gone when he was around 14, learning the trade early on in his travels. He met Drake's Mother later on in a small farming town by a brook, the daughter of a trade post owner who wished to move away from this drab life, and had some elven, particularly drow ancestry with her mother who came seeking to keep away from persecution for her race's lesser traits. Drake's father bargained with the Trader for his daughter in exchange for an old family necklace and they moved off.
- When Drake turned 8, he was given a family Falchion his father brought along on his travels, it was designed to be a sword sticking out as a pointed tongue of an obsidian demon, with either a semi-precious or ruby stone inlaid eyes. The handle was wrapped in almost a fur with rings of obsidian every few inches over the fur, three in total. At the pommel was a rectangular block of iron with a spike or blade, depending on your perspective of obsidian at the end. The Blade was made from an unknown material, striped in appearance, this was mainly due to the swords age making the smithing rare for it's condition. Drake was taught by his father of what he knew on swordsmanship, learning it from nobility, though never completing his training. Drake however took to it quickly and began improving on what he could.
- When Drake turned 10, he found a dusty tome while helping his father at the market, his mother telling him it was an old book on magic. He convinced his father to trade for it and had his mother, although not a true practicer, teach him what she could. He never quite learned much other than a few utility spells, preferring his blade, he had only mastered a fire breathing spell which he loved showing off around the trader's campfires.
- When Drake was 14 and his family was traveling through a desert mountain pass to get to an oasis town they heard had not been contacted in a while. (THey were assuming due to the treacherous passage ways and the length of desert required to traverse deterred other merchants meaning they more than likely needed supplies and probably would have valuable resources to trade for them so trading could be rather profitable.) They had been traveling with other traders to increase their supply and allow for more weight of food and drink to be brought for the travel. While exiting through the desert pass a sandstorm hit the traveling caravan, halting their progress and forcing them against the mountain until it ended, setting up a sort of ravine dug into the valley. Though, they didn't know the true reason the town wasn't visited lately by traders. Traders just as them had come before and been killed by bandits just as the oasis town itself had been, becoming their hub.
- That night, a group of bandits hit the caravan. The Caravaneers and traders have had their share of raiders and bandits and had hired guards to accompany them in this trip and took solace in their numbers, but they let the sandstorm be of false hope, thinking it'd deter anyone from finding their camp and that raiders themselves wouldn't brave through it. The Raiders however learned to use the sandstorms, nearly constantly brewing to guide traders into the same sight they had camped out on, attacking by surprise coming from both the entrance of the ravine as well as from the sides. The entrance also being the exist the caravaneers were against the wall and were struck by both sides. Though the guards and traders put up a fight they lost too many in the beginnings of the fight and ultimately lost.
- Within the Turmoil, Drake had cornered himself in a cave, taking a raider from behind and killing him. Up to this point Drake had only practiced his skills on dummies on the road and on small game hunting to help his father provide food on the road. Stricken by grief he hid during the attack and awaited for dawn after the Raiders had left. He found the bodies of both of his parents, torn to shreds due to the raider's sadistic nature, especially his mother's (Let's not get into that). He stayed in camp, surviving on what was left of the food for three days mourning his parent's death before leaving to the desert to travel inward through to find a town. This all left a sting in his young mind. A void, that would later be filled with blood, be it his own or others.
- To provide for himself, Drake learned to take on whatever jobs he could find, later finding interest in Mercenary work and making a rather good name in the bounty hunter business and took pride in his "handy work". Though, he later became more hungering and became overzealous after a paid-kill, killing the one who ordered it after getting his payment. Though many employers were turned away those that stayed, stay for his ruthlessness however was valuable as it often brought attention away from whoever paid him in that authorities even feared him or his murderous nature provided an alibi for them. Many employers also found ways of supplying him with ample victims to satisfy his bloodlust as well. Often as well he'd murder whomever he'd like in a town and leave.
- Appearance:
- Drake's body is also very toned at 6'4, it being his only goal in life to kill more to fill the void left from his parent's death. His Skin was a red taking from his desert heritage, but his hair, cut chaotically by himself only kept to keep it out from his eyes, and eyes were both white just as his mother's and grandmother's taking from drow heritage, both with his ruthlessness and blade gave him the name, The Red Demon.
- Drake's body is riddled with scars. The Biggest and most notable was a large one scaling around his left arm from an encounter with a beast in the desert, large stab wounds in his stomach and abdomen from combat, and one scaling down his head all the way down his neck diagonally, just missing his left eye. Though they all were gruesome just as their cause. He was never afraid and even enjoyed being struck in battle, using it as opportunity to strike back, and harder than they hit him.
- Equipment:
- Armor: Drake wears a combination of desert wear, fur, and layer plate armor around his arms, shoulders, and torso, though mainly covering himself in cloth and leather for speed rather than protection. His armor is often colored a brown-red, drenched in blood. Though, to him fighting with or without armor is no difference.
- Weapons: Drake carries his family Falchion and another he looted during an "assassination" he was sent on, being green in color of the handle, with an emerald pommel and a snake engraved on the blade in jade along with a crossguard of two snakes made in jade. It seemed to be forged in poison, and is constantly drenched in a clay pot of a concoction he makes on the road of whatever poisoness plants and venomous animals he can find, giving it a distinct green color of metal for the blade. He constantly subjects himself to the poisons of the blade, though in small doses to keep himself resistant to their effects and effects of other poisons derived from his cocktail.
- Drake also carries a various number of weapons looted from enemies he has killed as sort of trophies, keeping them in a bag he carries along with his other supplies.
- Skills:
- Dual Falchion Fighting
- Magic:
- Mainly very utility things like magelight and a Firebreathing Spell.
