you know what i see when i look at this world?
good, bad, forget all that crap
i see the bullshit in peoples eyes, the truth unfolds
people keep saying and thinking theyre honest then i snap
them back to reality, actual actuality
explain logical fallacy, blow peoples minds fatality
when youre born youre a blank slate
there is no true you, you were formed by environment
your subconscious learns what works with who
you learned to fit in as your intelligence grew
then for each group you hide some truths and say some lies
trying to fit in with the youths it takes a couple tries
you create a core personality thats who you truly became
then you hide, add and subtract to fit in with a gang
you create layers, different person for each group
never a true you, you are out of the loop
your mind becomes hazy and who you are is blurry
maybe youre crazy and they you start to worry
you think you see truth so you change directions
your method stays the same no new inventions

no outcome for humanity to work but we persist
we could very well succeed but in the end does that save us?
our morals are subjective but we base objective reality on it thus
is our reality skewed? our personality ruled by the times?
but if we viewed reality like it is would there even be crimes?
would we care if the other was rude or that there wasnt enough food you know sometimes
i think i should care. about you, us, humanity.
but what can i do, what fuss could i stir to change reality?
what freedom do you or i truly have?
a topic often discussed as an argument
but we get fuzzy when discussing deep subjects my fav
writer, isaac asimov, wrote a short story about what it meant
to truly think. how deep thought broke trough the penicillin.
you see according to the character we were like bacteria
held back by penicillin of the mind
and if we broke free of society's idea
we'd die and eventually someone would find
this issue truth and develop immunity
but like an antibiotic
they'd find out and kill us eventually
this idea interested me. because i know our minds get fuzzy when we go into deep thought
we fall more into a rythm than out of it and never find what we sought
no answer to question just an eternal silence
i always thought we'd find a balance
