14. that's barbaric!
that's wizard's chess

 15.
 16. Welcome to Patronus' Game Night guide! Game night is typically every Thursday, though date and time may change depending on the host and participant availability. This page serves as a starter guide on the games we play-- they can't all be wizard's chess! Points are issued at the discretion of the host and are typically dependent on both participation and success at a particular game. Even if you don't win, you'll be rewarded for coming out and playing with your fellow Patronites!
 17.
 18.

A maximum of 50 House Points may be earned by each participant each week!
 19.

 20.
 21.

Avatar Simon

 22. Avatar Simon is a mimic game. The amount of rounds will be decided by the host before the game begins. Standard is usually 5 or 10 rounds, depending on how many players there are.

 23. The idea is, whatever the host changes their avatar to, you must also change your avatar to it (if you have it). Here is an example round.

 24. First, the host will post something like this (including the round number and avatar name):

25. If you have the MSPP avatar, you change to it here and post as follows:

Buuuut if you don't have it, that's okay! You're still in the game; just post this:

26. Keep track of each round by changing the number. So if we're on round 7 and you have 5 of the avatars so far, post 5/7. If you're coming into this game late, simply post each of the avatars with your counter number and catch up with where the host is, then follow along with the rest of the group. The member(s) with the highest count at the end of the pre-determined rounds is the winner!
 27.

 28.
 29.

Avatar Survivor

 30. Avatar Survivor is a survivor game. The object if the game is to be the last one standing. The host will choose how many rounds to play, based on how many players are present. This is a fast paced game.

 31. The host picks a random topic (eg: Villians, Faeries, Winter etc), and you then need to change your avatar to the one you feel best fits the topic and post with it.

You need to be quick! If someone else has posted with the same avatar before you do, you will need to change it.

 32. Each round lasts 3 minutes. Once time is up, everyone playing needs to neomail the host (they will post a link to make it easier for you), saying the name of the person who you feel was the least on topic. Basically, who you're voting off the island.

 33. The person with the most votes will be eliminated. This will continue until there is one person left.

 34. Once you have been eliminated, you are still able (and should!) vote each round. In the event of a tie breaker in the votes, the host has the final say.
 35.

 36.
 37.

Bilge Dice

 38. If you were familiar with the neo game Bilge Dice (which unfortunately is not playable anymore), this is based off of that! You can see Jellyneo's guide for that here if you're interested: www.jellyneo.net/?go=bilge_dice
Basically, you "roll" 6 dice (aka the Host will roll them for you), and you choose which ones you want to keep, and which you want to re-roll. During each step, you must keep at least one die.
 39.

The main goal is to get 1 and 4, and any four numbers at the end of all of your re-roll steps. 1 and 4 are the qualifiers! If you don't keep one of each of them by the time you've finished re-rolling, you will be disqualified.
 40.

You may keep any other number too (and of course, if you're re-rolling only one die, you have to keep whatever you get). Whoever gets 24 total (6+6+6+6), or closest to 24 is the winner(s)! (The qualifiers don't count towards the total points).

The Host will post everyone's rolls all at once! Everyone then says which rolls they're keeping and which they're re-rolling before the Host posts the re-rolls. The re-rolls will keep going until everyone has their final six dice!
 41.

EXAMPLE:

Then, using the rolls they got, they decide which numbers they want to keep and which they want to re-roll.
Copy and paste the section of the Host's message that has your rolls, and list which you want to keep and which you want to re-roll;

The Host will then post the re-rolls;

 42.

The players decide which they want to keep and which they want to re-roll again! The numbers in parentheses are the ones that are locked in for each player.

This will keep going until everyone has posted their last roll. The Host will then post the total points everyone got, including what their last roll was.

 43. This game does seem a bit complicated in explanation, but once you start playing, you get the hang of it! Basically, just focus on getting the 1 and 4 initially, then try for the higher numbers! You can take your time; remember, you only need to keep one die each roll!
 44.

 45.
 46.

Phrase Jumble

 47. The host will post a known Harry Potter quote. Your job is to take that quote and change it into something completely different while still keeping with the idea of it.

 48.

Example:

 49. It can be kind of silly or more serious. Its all up to you!
 50.

 51. Each round will last five minutes with the end time being posted with the quote. Please post your answer in a post by itself. After the 5 minutes, we will vote. If there are under six players, we will use a guild poll. If not, neomail the host with your vote (the host will post a link to the neomail). Whoever gets the most votes wins the round. The game will last five rounds.
 52.

 53.
 54.

Prize Board

 55. This is a very easy, yet very stressful game for the players. Using the game board below, the host will determine what each space is worth. It may be different for each game; some may be worth House points, others may be worth Galleons, Hogsmeade coins, prizes from Diagon Alley, or Neo items. Some squares, however, are death squares.
The host will choose the order of play and post the list at the beginning of the game. The host will also track somewhere what each space is worth, and who earns the prizes from each space. The more players there are, the more death spaces there should be. If any player chooses a death space, they are eliminated from playing the rest of the game.

The last player standing is the winner! Once the winner is determined, the host will post the list of what each participant earned.

 56. The host may choose to update the image each time a square is chosen (and share it on their own petpage). If the host chooses not to update the image after each term, they will instead post a list of all numbers still available, as well as the turn order list.

 57. New players may join at any time, as long as the game still has at least 3 players left in it, and as long as they catch the attention of the host in time.
 58.

 59.
 60.

Scattergories

 61. Scattergories is a game where the most unique answers win.

 62. Once the game is almost ready to begin, the host (who can also participate) will pick a random person to pick the letter for the game.

 63. The host will then post list of subjects (which was made before the letter was chosen). Copy this to a new message to fill in your answers with words that start with the letter that was chosen. You will have 3 minutes to fill in all the words you can. Once the 3 minutes are up, post your answers (even if they're not all finished)!
 64.

Remember to copy your post before you send it in case Neo blocks a word!

 65. You will receive 1 point for each match with someone else, and 2 points if you are the only one to have gotten a certain word.
 66.

 67.
 68.

Two Truths and a Lie

 69. Two Truths and a Lie is a great game to get to know your fellow guild members, and a good way to start off game night, because anyone can join in the middle of the game. The host may also participate!

 70. The object is that each person posts two true facts and one lie about themselves (in any order) and other members need to guess which is the lie within the 3 minute time limit.

 71. The host will post a list of the order of the members participating at the beginning of the game and each time before the next person posts their Truths and Lie. Any late joiners will be added to the end of the list.

 72. The host will keep track of how many correct guesses each participant has earned, and will post the list with rankings after everyone has taken their turn.
 73.

 74. A variation on this game, Two Lies and a Truth, may also be played with largely the same rules. The only difference is that when planning your three statements, you write two that are false and one that is true, and the others try to guess which is the truthful statement.
