  1. On the first reading, the ones that stands out to me the most are 6 and 29. Both deal with analysis paralysis, which is something that I work on overcoming.
  2. I like for everything to be perfect before implementing; and while I know that sometimes good is good enough, I still have a hard time pulling the trigger
  3. on projects until I feel they're perfect. After 6 and 29, 8 speaks to me as well. I do not have a problem admitting that I'm wrong about something or
  4. that I don't know. My problem is is asking for help when I don't. I tend to feel like a nusance sometimes for asking questions and usually will
  5. try to find the answer myself first. This is often to my detriment because the answer could have been easily had from a friend or colleague.
  6.
  7. Checklists are amazing, they get you thining about your project in broad strokes and then whittling down to step by step tasks. In that way,
  8. you start to thnk about the details of what you want/need to do. Making the lists allows you to think about it again, this time focusing more ont he specifics.
  9. And finally, checklists allow you to check your progress throughout the process and at the end to ensure that everything that needs to get done
  10. is getting done. As a student and later in a career, it helps to make sure that you don't get lost in what you're doing and better able to stay on task.
  11. They also allow the ability to set benchmarks as to when certain things need to done and how long each should take.
  12.
  13. I really like this approach with the strengths based approach. It is very similar to an educational approach dealing with multiple intelligences.
  14. It focuses on finding out how each individual learns and tailors the approach to teaching them accordingly. Everyone is smart in their own way.
  15. Albert Einstein said “Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.”
  16. The question I have for you at this point of our journey together is, “What is your genius?”
  17. My main question would be, how do you apply the strengths method? Do you have employees/colleagues take the test and keep a file with that info?
  18. I feel my top strengths are my desire to help people and to gain as deep an understanding as I can about the subject. That want to learn as much
  19. as possible is often a hinderance. Instead of taking something as a given and understanding more deply later, I sometimes gets hung up trying to figure
  20. out how each small part works together.
  21. To develop these strengths, I will find as many of the best info sources that I can and bookmark them for fast referencing when needed. I will
  22. also do my best to realize that it's okay to not know everything from memory and that it's good practice to reference a library or two.
