History: Nozomi was born into a family of Japanese Christians, who gave her a Neurolinker for the sole purpose of shaping their daughter to be the best person she could be. In other words, she was exceedingly coddled; not only did she have a Neurolinker keeping track of her at all times, she had her mother fussing over her at the very same time. As a result, Nozomi had a crippling lack of understanding of the outside world, so when she first entered elementary school, she had an abnormal amount of trouble making friends.

Everything seemed to separate her from the other girls. She ate richer food, she had a religion, of all things, and she always seemed to be a liability because she didn't know about so many things. In other words, she was alone and isolated because she herself had simply become unapproachable.

Over time, she had tried to make friends, but they slipped away like sand in her hands. She'd get to know them for a while, and just as things seemed to be going smoothy, they would vanish from her life like ghosts. There was no way she could hold on to them, and every time, Nozomi tried to do the same thing over and over, starting fresh each time, pretending she hadn't been abandoned each and every time. She was snow that kept melting and refreezing, each time worse for the wear.

Then Hanasaki Kimi entered her life. They didn't seem to be the type to be friends; Kimi was fairly well-recognized and even somewhat popular, in contrast to the reclusive, bookish Nozomi who had given up on having a friend. But because Kimi reached out, she and Nozomi became a pair of friends who would never abandon each other.

Over time, their relation took a more... romantic bent, but this came at the cost of Nozomi's academic achievements. Her parents had decided that if Kimi was severely inhibiting their daughter's ability to excel, Nozomi wouldn't even be allowed to interact with her. She couldn't let that happen, but she didn't want to worry Kimi...

So she stayed quiet. Kimi, seeing her friend distraught, decided to introduce her to Brain Burst.

-"Cut yourself off from the net for a day, alright? And prepare for a nightmare when you go to bed. I'll be awake if you need to call."

That night, Nozomi had a dream of all the friends she had lost. Every time she tried to reach out to them, they faded away into the air, leaving her all alone. Even Kimi, the one who had vowed to stand beside her no matter what, faded away as if all those promises were in vain.

-"I... Give me more time with them!"

That was the wish that would give birth to the Duel Avatar known as Eternity Moment.
