  1. 11:44] Balam moved himself towards the spot he always had chosen to meditate. It looked over a hill and one could see the beautiful landscape that was Moxtli Forest. Yet today Balam had decided he'd give it a shot. The special techniques he'd seen his mother use ever since he was young.
  2.
  3. Spirit Dancing. He still wasn't quite sure how it was done or exactly what was required for it to work in truth but something pulled Balam to practice it. Instead of following along and copying in his mothers footsteps he'd ask the spirits himself to teach him.
  4.
  5. He'd create his own variation of the dance and improve upon it on his own way. He'd sit still for an hour and half before rising to his feet slowly, He needed no music as he heard the voices of the spirits, and the howling of the wind sweeping through the hills was enough of a melody for him to begin.
  6.
  7. Rhythmic motions allowed for his wind mana to be manipulated around him, As he called out to the spirits of the wind, A dance that was also a tribute to them and their actions he allowed himself breaks in-between, It was as if he was conducting the flow of natural mana in the area as he moved the wind moved.
  8.
  9. As he labored in his breath the wind blew trees back with an amazing gale force. It was then that Balam came to have some understanding of what exactly spirit dancing was. To become in-sync with the surroundings of natural mana flow that one is connected to.

  12. [11:57] He'd then go further with this training, While he was capable of controlling a specific area around him he was still unable to conjoin the mana into workable spell craft. It was just far too much mana for one person to control on their own.
  13.
  14. And thus he would elicit the minor wind spirits in his area for aid. Calling upon them the same way he saw his mother do once before, Drawing in the essence of Spirits and allowing them together slowly. He'd then offer them a dance.
  15.
  16. His body gave the instructions. Twisting to create powerful twisters, Turning and spinning to create towers of tornados, Slamming his hands into the overgrown soil of the forest causing a bolt of lightning to pierce down from above, His feet stopping with pride and power causing create gales to slice up some of the nearby trees he'd usually used as target practice, Each spell powered by a corresponding step.
  17.
  18. Each step an instruction given to the spirits and the mana on how to recreate his own power, and yet Balam continued to improve upon this foundation of skills.
  19.
  20. The Lightning that resonated around his body only becoming more and more controlled as Balam learned not only to control the natural mana flow but also in other creatures as well.
  21.
  22. Although his powers were not yet adequate enough to face his mother. It would still be some time before he was confident enough to show him his style of Dancing...He would continue to practice on his own now that he'd laid the groundwork for his future.
  23.
  24. Balam after all was no prince, He was born into a great family but would inhierit nothing that he did not earn on his own. Had he wanted to become a great Shaman and a great Spirit dancer he'd have to work daily on improving his own skill.
