[13:01] "Good evening." The accompanies the greeting with a respectful nod, pausing momentarily. "My name is Erlen. I... read one of the notes you'd posted about, and I'd like to take up on that offer. May we speak?" He smiled lightly, albeit it was clear he was more than a bit nervous.

Erlen glanced about the square, then off to the buildings both east and west. "Is ah- is there somewhere we could?"

[13:08] Waylan nodded "Ah, I'm glad to hear if you'd like you could follow me." he motioned for Erlen to follow him. "I'd like to help you in any way that I can."

Waylan didn't expect to see a person this soon, but he was happy his message touched someone, perhaps more would come later?

[13:10] Waylan mer Joyau asks, "What's on your mind?"
[13:18] Erlen followed along as they walked off to the east, past the bridge and to the small isle on the middle of the bay. The boy kept silent throughout their short trek, seemingly in thought.

When they finally got seated, he stayed quiet for a little longer, pursing his lips together. Before too long had passed, he turned to the man with a somewhat questioning look.

"I ah- first, I wanted to know how things would go, for the Faith that is. I don't think we'll be going back to Nysea soon, if ever so..." A sigh. "How will things be? Say we win, and the Demons get beaten back. How will the faith survive? And..."

There was another, longer pause. Erlen's expression looked more troubled, now, and he turned his head into the distance before speaking. "Say we lose. What happens then?"

The youth took a deep breath, then turned back towards Waylan, awaiting a response.

[13:27] These were really good questions and Waylan thought long and hard about the answer. He wanted to ensure everything fell into place whether they managed to win or not.

"Firstly, I'd like to gather everyone up that is interested so we can have enough support to have our voices heard. It's been somewhat of a dying practice and I wish to change that and will push for that change."

He'd pause soon looking up at the sky.

"If we win this war I'm sure the people of Nysea are looking to perhaps rebuild. If that's the cause I will get the Queen to make space for a Church which all are welcome to join.

On the other hand if we lose and we are forced to remain where we are then."

He motions to this entire island.

"This place hasn't been used in years, it's mostly a bridge to get from point A to point B. This would be suitable enough to build up the Faith again. It might not look like a Church, but does that matter?

I want to see the progression of the Faith and we can't do that standing around, no it has to be done one step at a time."

[13:34] Erlen followed the priest's explanation, nodding at parts, raising a brow at others, but remained silent and attentive throughout. When the explanation was done, the boy clasped his hands together, leaning forward against the table. He dwelled on the words for a bit, before looking back up.

"That... sounds good, I think. I'd like to see the faith grow again, to reach its old heights."

Not that he'd ever been particularly pious himself, but many people tend to gravitate towards religion in trying times.

A look is tossed about, at the isle. He examined the towers in the distance, as well as the more open areas, before turning back.

"How many are there, in the faith? Acolytes, priests..." He gulped, slightly. "Not many?"

[13:44] Luxa Vandran asks, "Oh?"
[13:44] Luxa Vandran asks, "What is this?"
[13:44] Luxa Vandran asks, "Lunch?"
[13:45] Waylan was truly glad to hear it, it's been something he put a lot of thought into for a while. He didn't want something like this to completely die off, not when he still brewed breath and can make a change.

"I'd like it to return the Faith to its former glory, but this time to create something that will become unbreakable. I want something that will last though time for generations to come."

The next question was a litter harder than the previous one, why? He didn't know who was left or who still showed interest in the Faith.

"I can't determine that at the moment because most have died off or given little interest into the Faith itself. For now I only know of four or perhaps five people that would be willing.

For now it would be something completely new and would require new faces."

[13:46] That's right. Pay attention to Luxa. Dinner time was close.

"Humans. How disgusting. Who wants to die first?" Luxa said approaching them and snarling.

Saerkinis would be pleased.

[13:50] Erlen leaned forwards on the table, listening to the Priest speak. Once again, he was fairly attentive, nodding at times.

This time though, there was no time to really dwell on it, nor think on a response - a new arrival came from somewhere out of sight.

Erlen turned upon hearing the voice, and the sight of an obvious Demon that close made him jump to his feet in surprise. His heart jumped to his throat, and his hand reached back for his staff - if you could even call it that.

"What- again? Here?"

[13:52] Demons weren't as smart as he gave them credit for, did it really walk all the way here?

"You're a long way from home aren't you? I thought you'd be a lot smarter than that, but clearly I given you too much credit."

Waylan reached for his staff, his body emitting a yellow glow he seemed tired.

"I guess you're making this easy for us."

[13:54] Chuckling, Luxa began to circle the pair. This would be an interesting fight. The one in front of him seemed the most delicious.

"My desire to kill you shows my intelligence? Well then. Lets see just how easy this is for you."

Luxa lowered his body to the ground, ready to lunge at any moment.

[14:14] Waylan wasn't expecting to fight this creature today, not while he was focusing on rebuilding the faith. He couldn't leave the younger male to fight the creature, so he needed to step up to the plate.

He called upon Sae to give him guidance, lead him down a path that would ensure victory in this battle. The yellow aura began glowing again, his necklace bearing all thirteen stars.

The faint glow around the necklace faded, and the wave of fire that covered the demon burned away. He'd moved towards the younger male with haste.

Waylan couldn't take the glory yet they we're still in enemy territory. He wanted to ensure that the young man was returned to safety of course before he could finally take a breath.

Waylan allowed the aura to fade away, today the victory was his, but he might not be so lucky next time. Sae watched over him in this battle and this was only proof that there was more for the faith that needed to bediscovered.

[14:16] Hot Hot! Damn it this Cosmic Magi was no joke! But he didn't have it easy at all fighting Luxa. He had lost this fight but they could count on him being back. And with a vengeance.

"I will kill you huma! I will kill you all!" Luxa said as he brushed the fire off.

Just in time for more of his kin to arrive.

[14:21] That was the second encounter with a Demon Erlen had had, and it was again, all too close for comfort. The boy stood with Waylan, doing his best to aid the older magi in the battle.

In truth, he didn't do all that much. A few bolts of fire here, a blast there - it was the Cosmic mage that was really doing all the heavy lifting.

In the end, Luxa did get beaten back, albeit not without effort. Erlen closed with Waylan, tossing the man a hasty glance - they should probably get out of there before more trouble arrived.

...If they could, that is.
