- Veska: Veska is a very ocean based world. Many islands can be found across the planet, and are separated by a vast ocean. Most of these islands carry a single nation or country; though the Kingdom of Man is united beneath the Church of Aine, which makes them far more dominant than the other races found on the planet.
- Below will be the notable islands found on Veska, which you may refer to within your character sheet, or for flavor's sake.
- -------------------------
- The Promised Land/Llyne
- Naturally, a very large organization needed a very large hunk of rock to carry it! The Church of Aine found itself on the isle they called 'The Promised Land', or Llyne. This island is easily the largest island found in Veska, and is likewise among the overall safest for any follower of their faith thanks to the large amount of Shadow Hunters and Warrior-Priests stationed to protect against potential Curse-related incursions.
- Llyne itself is a very temperate landscape. Forests are a bit on the infrequent side, but the many rivers found across the landscape provide plentiful farmland.
- Llyne is also home to the Pit, which swallowed the Holy City some time ago.
- -----------------------------
- Kilmarn: Kilmarn is the isle known to carry the largest congregations of Shadow Hunters; their base of operations can be found here in the city of Tregaron. Initiates from across the world often choose to gather here to train and become a Shadow Hunter.
- Despite being a big base of operations for the Shadow Hunters, this island is incredibly susceptible to the Beast Curse -- something that the Shadow Hunters are rumoured to purposefully spread for the sake of training their recruits, though such tales are often quickly shot down.
- Kilmarn is primarily a series of long, rolling plains; with many forests clear-cut and chopped down. The left side of the island has a long stretch of sand, often grouped together alongside a huge reef. This is referred to as 'Hunter's Reef'; and is actually a very popular place for Hunters to travel along.
- --------------------------------
- Lyranova
- Lyranova's a large isle that can be found taking up a good portion of the north, and is the homeland of the Rana. For the most part, the isle consists of a dense, marshy swamp that stretches on from the front coast.
- Lyranova has smaller isles, detailed below.
- Cairnholm: Cairnholm is perhaps the safest isle that can be found a bit far south of Lyranova, and is very small in size. It carries a very small settlement of Colonists from Llyne, lead by Father Todd. The Rana also call Cairnholm their home, and live peacefully among the colonists.
- Dead Man's Reef: Not much is too known about Dead Man's Reef; the Rana often tell tales of ravenous creatures that live there, devouring anything unfortunate enough to approach the coast of its isle. Jagged rocks take up most of the coast, making it exceedingly difficult to safely arrive; a grave of ships are known to be found around the island.
- The Rana claim that their people used to live on Deadman's Reef before the beast curse spread; and that recently it's become overrun by dangerous creatures that drown and kill anyone unfortunate enough to approach the isle...such a rumour has yet to be resolved, for every ship that goes to Dead Man's Reef, never comes back.
- ------------------------------------
- Marei
- Marei is a very mountainous isle, secluded from most of the world. The inhabitants carve their homes within the mountain, living in seclusion within its tunnels. These winding pathways are said to wind throughout the whole cliff, and eventually, the underground, forming a vast network that constantly expands.
- Marei is also home to the Dwarfs, who live further beneath the mountain, but have been a great help to the humans that settled within. These two races have formed a union together and live in complete harmony, mining and building up their settlement while using the tunnels to their advantage against the beasts that still wander the outside of the isle.
- -------------------------------------
- Chain of Fire
- The Chain of Fire can be found nearby the center of the world, gaining its name from a small series of isles and islets forming an S-shape along the equator. Volcanic activity can be found along most of these isles. The Elf and Elafi are the primary inhabitants of the chain, as well as the Omet.
- Kalni: Kalni is the largest isle found among the Chain of Fire, and is essentially a tropical rain forest. Kalni is known for its high spiritual activity; Fae and magical beasts wander through the wilds, making it dangerous to those who are unprepared. The Omet make their homes here as well, who are known to savagely attack just about anything they consider food. Unfortunately for would-be travelers, the Omet aren't picky eaters. A few small settlements of Elafi can be found along the coast of Kalni.
- In the heart of Kalni is a massive volcano that still remains dormant to this day.
- Starfish Key: Starfish Key receives its name from the star shape it has, along with the very large sinkhole found in the center. The Atoll is mostly covered in forest; which is by no means naturally made. The Elves and Elafi consider this island their capital.
- Dragonmaw Isle: Gains its name from the enormous active volcano found in the center. Dragonmaw Peak; the Volcano, is known to erupt fairly often. Despite this, it remains a relatively safe enough place for the Elafi and Elf to call their home, as their magic often proves to be more than useful enough against this otherwise great danger. Dragonmaw Isle is fairly large; like many of the other Islands along the chain, it's dense with a massive, tropical forest.
- Rainbow Rock: Aptly named thanks to the various springs found boiling upon a very large shield volcano, which remains dormant. These springs are known for their collection of different minerals that cause the springs to shimmer and sparkle a variety of different colours. Unfortunately, the Beast Curse has recently ravaged a good portion of the Elf and Elafi population on this isle, but they've managed to rebuild despite the damage they took.
- Many, many smaller isles: Ask for details and we can work something out; the Chain of Fire is still WIP but has many other small islands found along it.
- -----------------------------------------------------
- Amara
- Amara is a misty isle, known for its wide river valleys and thick tropical forests. This isle remains home to the Tengu; and ironically, the beast curse has worked to their benefit due to spreading to the isle of Xanthos, which once housed their enemy. Amara's capital city is a well known tourist spot; as well as a respectable choice for monks to train. It's a large, sprawling city situated along the side of a steep mountain. Terraces are skillfully cut into the side of the mountain to create both footholds and provide spots to irrigate farmland.
