  1. Earlier this year I had a heartfelt conversation with a customer, who recently became a teacher, at work which sparked the interest in getting into education. At the time I felt without direction and after speaking to a friend recently who has previously went down the education path I realised that this path appeals to me greatly.

  3. I have a passionate belief that children are far more clever and have more potential than they are often given credit for. I firmly believe that children are the future and I would relish the opportunity to be a part of realising that future for them. I have a calm and patient demeanour, and a positive personality; I also generally find it easy to build a rapport with most people. I plan to get proper experience in the classroom starting in the new year to get ready for education.

  5. I have an affinity towards students with specific learning disorders as I myself live with ADHD and Dyspraxia (DCD). Students with barriers to learning such as these should be given full support as they have the same potential as their peers but they are all too often left behind. I am deeply passionate that every child should receive the same opportunities in the classroom and should always be treated with respect and according to their needs.

  7. I have an interest in a wide range of subjects including history, geography and languages, I also studied a degree which has given me knowledge in mathematics and computing. I play guitar as a hobby and have recently picked up photography. I believe the passion I have for these fields will benefit the students and myself along my journey into education. The degree that I studied may not be typical of one aiming to get into education but I am confident that I have the correct attitude, can adapt to the situation and am always open to learning new skills.

  9. I am currently working in retail and have volunteered at the local foodbank in the past which involves working with the public, and at many points, those in need. Both bolstered my confidence and helped me develop key communication skills and provided me a sense of responsibility.
