  1. The Verge
  2.
  3. The Verge is what remains of the human frontier. It is comprised mostly of barren or barely habitable star-systems, besides a few exceptions such as Xanadu in the Farseeker system. Bordering different federation realms to the west, The Verge has a larger percent population of aliens than any other region in the Centrari Union. However, since this area is so sparsely populated, it is also prone to piracy and anarchy.
  4.
  5. The Utopian Worlds
  6.
  7. The Utopian Worlds is a region of space in the Centrari Union. They are called this due to the fact that many feel they are upholding the democratic ideals of the Federation better than any other region of space. Far away from pirates and the Cold War, these worlds are left to focus solely on improving the quality of life for their inhabitants. Most of these worlds are fully terreformed into bountiful habitats, and there is a very small wealth gap between the rich and the poor. These worlds are truely an Utopia.
  8.
  9. The Bastion Worlds
  10.
  11. Since the dawn of the Eternal Cold War, the federation has been surrounded by enemies. The arms race at the borders of federation space seems to worsen every day, and so, in order to protect their homelands, border worlds have been transformed into fortresses, and military stations have been built in massive quantities in border regions. In the Centrari Union, this region of space is known as the Bastion Worlds.
  12.
  13. The Core
  14.
  15. The core is the original region of space that was first colonized by mankind shortly after the discovery of FTL travel. Because of this, the core has a higher population than any other region of space, with some worlds having tens of billions of people living in crowded situations. Since these worlds are inherently human, most of their population is composed of humans. The core is in the center of known space, and since the Stellar Spring, it has been split in half between the Centrari Union to the east, and the Dockstar Conglomerate to the west. Everyone fears that if a conflict ever occurs between these two entities, that billions of lives could be lost in the crossfire.
  16.
  17. The Foundation
  18.
  19. After the founding of the Conglomerate, in order to centralize their authority and to move their capital from Earth to a region that is farther from the hotly contested border with the Federation, the Conglomerate moved their capital to the planet Salaam in the India System. After this move was made, a minor boom occurred in this region of space, where many major financial institutions and sub-corporations of the Conglomerate moved their headquarters to the region around this system. Today, the foundation is the most significant region of Conglomerate space. While it lacks some of the population of The Core, it is rising in population much faster, and many theorize that it will eventually overtake it.
  20.
  21. The Pillars
  22.
  23. While the Foundation is the main architectural feature that holds up the entire Conglomerate, The Pillars are important for helping the nation to stand tall. The worlds of this region are mostly composed of industrial centers, for the mass production of spacecraft, electronics, and consumer goods. There are also many mining worlds in this region, as labor is extremely cheap due to no minimum wage in Conglomerate space.
  24.
  25. The Gears
  26.
  27. Similar to The Pillars, The Gears are a major manufacturing region of Conglomerate Space. The average lifespan of those who live in this region of space is very short, due to harsh conditions and long work hours. However, many citizens proudly serve their Corporate overlords, knowing that they are keeping them safe from their evil neighbors. Many factories deal with extremely dangerous chemicals, and many weapons and explosives are built in this area.
  28.
  29. The Paradise Worlds
  30.
  31. West of The Foundation, there lies a region of space where the extremely wealthy individuals in the Conglomerate have set up shop. These worlds, in the region known as The Paradise Worlds, are bountiful and fully terreformed. While there is a large population of elites in this region, there are also many more people who are meant to devote their entire lives to serving these people with services.
  32.
  33. The Destitutes
  34.
  35. Far in the back of the Conglomerate, lies The Destitutes. This is the poorest known region of space, which is a sharp contrast to The Paradise Worlds that are directly east. Only in the Conglomerate can something like this be possible.
  36.
  37. The Deep
  38.
  39. In the year 2523, only a few decades after the discovery of FTL by mankind, GravTech Corporation set out in an advanced colony ship farther than anyone else had gone before. The arrived in the Epsilon Pegasi system, where they formed a new society far away from Earth on the planet Foundry. Over the following centuries, this branch of humanity prospered and spread out to surrounding star systems. During the early turf wars, this region of space became a much sought after escape from the conflict in the main region of space, and many people set out to find these far away colonies, sometimes getting lost in the process. However, half way through the turf wars, the Konopir species to the south discovered FTL travel from a human ship that they captured. Their technology was vastly superior to humanity's, and it wasn't long before the Deep was conquered by their new theocratic coalition. Today, the deep is still a part of the Coalition's empire.
  40.
  41. The Pure Lands
  42.
  43. Before they even discovered FTL travel, the Konopir had already colonized most of the Pure Lands, a region of space that directly surrounds their home system of Craz. They did this over hundreds of years, using slow colony ships that traveled using fission powered engines. Their race was born in a unique system left over from an alien race long ago, the only one in known space that contains a ringworld. After the Konopir discovered FTL, they spread out amongst the stars at alarming speeds, and quickly subjugated other races, including some humans, into their new Coalition. The Konopir are deeply religious, and their government is controlled by a small group of religious leaders.
  44.
  45. Freethinker Space
  46.
  47. When the Konopir rose to power in southern space, not everyone was happy about the appearance of warships at their front steps. The Cenuva, a race of hairy, boar-like aliens, were especially unwilling to give in since they have their own beliefs of religious freedom, and they hastily declared war on their invaders. After about twenty years of conflict, the Cenuvan lands were literally blown to shreds, and the Konopir were in charge. However, most of the Cenuvans were incredibly distraught about this situation, and many of them illegally fled north over the border into the lands held by the human Red Rock Corporation, one of the most major factions in the Turf Wars. Eventually, this region of space evolved into what is known today as Freethinker Space, a small corner of the Trade Federation where there is a large population of Cenuvans who escaped from the persecuted lands in the south
  48.
  49. The Cenuvan Protectorate
  50.
  51. The Cenuvan people have a sad history, where they built an utopian democratic society, and it was all lost in a twenty year war with the Konopir. The Cenuvan race, a hairy alien species with tusks, hail from the Gangloge system, where their society flourished on the planet of Ezjow. Like most species, the Cenuvan early societies were controlled by kings and warlords. However, shortly after the discovery of iron, the Cenuvan people had a mini Renaissance, where a powerful new democratic republic formed. As Cenuvan society evolved, this republic eventually gained influence worldwide, and the world eventually found itself united under a single federal government before FTL was even discovered and the Cenuvans were in the human equivalent of the early industrial revolution. Because of this, their world was mostly at peace for hundreds of years, and there were never any major conflicts to encourage the development of more powerful arms. When the Konopir invaded the Cenuvan's territory, the Cenuvans had already discovered FTL and were spread out amongst the stars, but the Cenuvan military had weaponry and armor at about the same level as Earth's militaries during world war I. They didn't stand a chance against the particle weapons of the Konopir, and they soon lost all freedoms.
  52.
  53. The Fumru Protectorate
  54.
  55. The Fumru are a race of aliens who were very early in discovering FTL travel when compared to humanity. The Fumru are a fungus based species with silver fur that is actually mycellium that covers their whole body. Unlike most species, the Fumru are extremely collective, and the speak using pheromones. They are known to obey their higher-ups without question, which made it extremely easy for the Konopir to take over their society, once they figured out how to communicate with them. All they had to do was kill of their leaders and replace them with Konopir rulers, and the population of Fumru became entirely subservient, as this is their nature.
  56.
  57. The Ologog Republic
  58.
  59. The Ologog are a bipedal species that have an extremely strong sense of smell, but are lacking in the other senses. During the Turf Wars Era, the Ologog Republic, a planetwide government on the planet Thuncru, sent its colony ships into space after the discovery of FTL travel. Seeing the humans waring each other to their west, the Muspah to the north, and the Cenuvans fighting against the Konopir to their south, the Ologog people became very afraid of becoming involved in these conflicts, and they did all they could to remain neutral, while stockpiling weapons and building a powerful military for self defense. The Ologog did, however, accept in refugees from these conflicts, and gained many peoples from different cultures who live there to this day. After the Stellar Spring, and the foundation of the Centrari Union, the Ologog were invited to join the new forming Trade Federation. They refused to join at first, but eventually they gave in due to the protection that the federation offered them.

  61. The Muspah Confederacy
  62.
  63. The Muspah people are a reptile-like race that change gender from female to male as they get older. They hail from the planet Grundrug in the Diethaxo system, and were very late at discovering FTL travel. TODO
