- Smeargle:
- Generic Normal Typing
- Crap offensively and defensively
- Mediocre speed
- Mostly useless abilities
- Learns every damn move in the game besides the useless Chatter.
- Can do pretty much anything thanks to Sketch. Lacks the stats to preform most tasks, so it must use its speed, its only usable stat, and perform fast support roles.
- Baton Pass
- Ability: Own Tempo
- Item: Leftovers/Focus Sash
- EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Speed
- Nature: Timid
- -Baton Pass
- -Shell Smash/Shift Gear/Quiver Dance?
- -Spore
- -Ingrain
- -Spore --> Boost --> Baton Pass
- -Shell Smash gives you the most boosts
- -Shift Gear is an option if you want to boost for a Physical Sweeper and maintain its longevity: Works best for Physical mons. Noticable drop in power
- -Quiver Dance is for bulky special sweepers. Do note the speed boost is +1 so it will be harder to switch out.
- -Ingrain is there if you want to avoid phazing and to heal a bit. The last slot still has many other options
- AC:
- -Many other things to pass: Nasty Plot, Swords Dance, Belly Drum, Coil, Aqua Ring.
- -4th slot can have another boosting move
- -Focus Sash is a one time way to boost.
- -Leftovers is better if you set up on slower mons: Helps survivability
- -Own Tempo is the most useful ability since Smeargle lacks attacks
- -EVs are straight forward: Maximize HP for overall bulk and maximize speed so it can do its job quicker, as well as give it a Timid nature to make it all the more faster. All of its other stats are simply abysmal and not worth a lot of investment in
- -Espeon is a great partner: Reflects all the annoying Taunts, hazards, and Status moves and can set up Dual Screens to make its job easier
- -Forretress sets up hazards for the receivers and gives Smeargle a safe switch-in thanks to its slow Volt Switch.
- -Dragonite makes a great receiver thanks to Multiscale reducing the power of attacks it switches into.
