On why I want to join:

TL;DR - For my own personal and selfish benefit.

I've been teaching myself how to become a hacker[1] for about 4 years now; I have become comfortable 3 languages: rust[2], javascript[3], lua[4]. I've wrote software and created systems to solve many real problems in my every day life; I'm currently running a droplet in digitalocean to host my personal website[5] and teach myself how the internet works (work-in-progress).

It has become clear to me that free software is the way[6]; I came across this website for an article[7] that I found on hacker news[8].

I'm still in my learning stage so I certainly won't make a big "foss" in the community (see what I did there?); I suspect this platform can become extremely beneficial to broaden my intellectual horizons.

For this alone and many other reasons I know you should let me join.
