Hales and Kafoury could have everyone under a roof in 48 hours if they wanted to, just like in a flood or freeze or earthquake. You and I are paying for the giant military tents for that to be stored in a warehouse gathering dust. The only thing preventing them from getting them out and pitching them and inviting campers off the streets is fear of the political clout of the Portland Business Alliance and their pet media sound machine. PBA wants campers disappeared by force and has their troops calling the electeds' offices all day every day while those of us who sympathize with campers wait patiently for another public forum, another study, another initiative, etc etc etc etc. Basta! Take the pledge. BUY NOTHING TIL EVERYONE HAS A ROOF. #pdx #homeless Get the tents up. Activate the plan you would activate if people were camping in the streets because of a flood.
