  1. Uriel
  2. Uriel has been key in the growth of civilization on Sironde. When the gods banded together to create the material plane, Uriel provided the order of all things. The rules and systems which govern material existence itself. As the sentient races came to be, Uriel provided a place for them: Tor. Tor was a beautiful city of gold, lapis, and marble built to embody the perfect order and lawfulness of Uriel. Over Tor, Uriel placed the moon, so those below might know they were forever under his watch and guidance. Uriel provided the people of Tor with magic, though in a very controlled manner, never such that they might endanger themselves or others. Those within Tor flourished, a true utopia of learning, technological advances, and peace.
  3. However, within Tor, not everyone was happy. There were a few who found the perfect order stifling, so they left to form civilizations of their own- The first elves of Echovald and the first mages of Isran Ka.
  4. As time went on, Echovald, Isran Ka, and Tor all grew and were successful in their own ways. Those within the lush forests of Echovald connected with Zopha, the fey, and became the first druids. Those within Isran Ka embraced the more chaotic and uncontrolled magics that had been forbidden to them before, and combined this magic with new technologies to rival Tor.
  5. Uriel's domain within the outer planes is one of ordered bliss, finely carved marble structures next to an endless sea, lit by a full moon.

  7. Illyrie
  8. Illyrie's position in the early history of Sironde is one of distant indifference. Illyrie is the enforcer of mortality. To live is to die, and Illyrie ensures that everyone eventually meets the end they deserve. Those who die are often buried with some amount of gold, an offering to Illyrie to ensure a peaceful transition into the afterlife.
  9. The souls of those who die in Sironde go to Isthala, The Eternal Grey. Isthala acts as a purgatory of sorts, home to the souls of those not damned to the hells or raised to one of the planes of bliss. In Isthala, the dead work towards reincarnation by mining its ashen landscape for gold, first to forge themselves a mask representing their new life, then as payment for rebirth into the material plane.
  10. Isthala is an endless grey landscape of ashy dirt and rock. The dark clouds mask a moonless night sky. There are dark stone temples full of golden objects such as coins, urns, plates, and jewelry. The landscape is dotted with holes, dug in search of gold.
