  1. The Matron's Suite.
  2. Set above the rest of the Pavilion, this suite could easily be mistaken for a throne room. A grand, raised dais at the far northern end of the room houses a single, golden throne at the apex of five steps to place it well above anything else within the Suite. Within, the solid gold that was visible on the outside reveals itself to be translucent from this side, allowing occupants to survey every inch of the Pavilion with ease. Opulent in the extreme, pillars of solid gold support a domed ceiling which is painted with ancient glyphs and magical wards that brighten and dim as though with a living pulse. Beyond this, the room is left bare of decoration save for simple globes of soft orange light that float like so many stars throughout the air. A spiral staircase at the far south of the hall leads down to the dance floor, its dark iron a harsh cry from the rest of the room. Pressing a taloned finger against her cheek, Matron Taschelin looks about with a bored expression. A white phoenix perches here, her fiery plumage illuminating the area with golden sparks. Limned with holy fire, a radiant archangel hovers here, wings outstretched. Flesh Mistress Pash, the Lightning Blossom floats here amidst an etheric storm of shifting realities and rainbow-traced quiddities. She wields Gauntlets of Whispers in her left hand. Caliph Hiresh Ryseni, a Newly-Forged Blade is here, shrouded. She wields a massive nut shield in her left hand. Minister Ovissa Ryseni, a Standup Guy is here. Playing a spirited song on a wooden pan flute, an alluring sileni frolics here.
  3. You see a single exit leading down.
  4.
  5. Caliph Hiresh Ryseni, a Newly-Forged Blade says, "Not nearly, I just came in advance while the others teleport in."
  6.
  7. You glance at Hiresh and absently tap your claws together, making a sharp clacking sound.
  8.
  9. Caliph Hiresh Ryseni, a Newly-Forged Blade says, "Ah, this might be all of us though."
  10.
  11. You smile and say, "It is, yes."
  12.
  13. Holding a small booklet in her hand, Matron Taschelin says, "Excellent. We only made one copy, so I will leave that to you all to unpack."
  14.
  15. Extending a hand, you say, "I am excited to see what you have come up with."
  16.
  17. Matron Taschelin gives a discreet dossier booklet to you.
  18.
  19. Sleek, subtle, and bound in matte black leather, this discreet dossier
  20. booklet scarcely merits a second glance. Its rigid spine and covers bear
  21. no adornment save for a small white panel inlaid front and centre. The
  22. pristine pages are similarly spare, marked only by crisp black lines to
  23. be filled with all manner of clandestine records and reports.
  24. It is entitled "Assorted Dossiers - Flamewright" and the author is listed as being Hareatho Schoro.
  25. It is written in the common tongue.
  26.
  27. Matron Taschelin says, "What useful information we could glean on the Flamewright and their lieutenants."

  54.
  55. The unknown individual or individuals known as the Flamewright became
  56. active in late 618, primarily through publications distributed in poorer
  57. parts of the cities. Their manifestos appear primarily to be a
  58. condemnation of the city government and the guilds that form it, seeking
  59. to abolish a government of the guilds and create a council of the
  60. 'disenfranchised'. Little is known about the individual or individuals
  61. behind the identity of the Flamewright, but given their ability to
  62. silently spread their word without detection by other factions within
  63. the city, it is believed they are either a skilled paradigmaticist,
  64. trained in the Illithoid martial arts, or working closely with an
  65. individual who qualifies.
  66.
  67. In recent years, the Flamewright has chosen a number of trusted
  68. lieutenants to handle matters on their behalf, pulling from the most
  69. loyal and skilled of their followers. While the revolution promised by
  70. the Flamewright has thus far been non-violent, with some exceptions and
  71. disregard of their war with the Shibchoyi syndicate and family, many of
  72. their followers within the city have been smuggled out only to return
  73. with martial training. Individuals who have undergone this training and
  74. been questioned note there is a training camp in the Skarch funded by
  75. the Flamewright with a number of instructors skilled in martial and
  76. pyromantic combat.
  77.
  78. Given all known information on this individual, the author of this
  79. report believes the individual or individuals in question to be highly
  80. dangerous but does not believe them to be working alone. Recommended
  81. course of action is Gnosis or Excision.

  92.
  93. Name: Cheesaba Saim
  94. Aliases: Unknown
  95. Date of Birth: 5 Klangiary 599
  96. Date of Death: None
  97. Race: Dracnari
  98. Height: 17
  99. Weight: 8-9
  100. Hair/Scale/Fur Colour: Teal
  101. Eye Colour: Blue/White
  102. Identifying Marks: Visible cloudiness in left eye
  103. Languages: Common, Dracnari
  104. Parents: Aruagmo Saim (Deceased), Riro Xeth (Deceased)
  105. Siblings: None
  106. Children: None
  107. Spouse: Sinothi Iborchi (Deceased)
  108. Current Residence: Gaudiguch, unknown address
  109. Occupation: Revolutionary
  110.
  111. Born to Aruagmo Saim and Riro Xeth in the city's outskirts, Cheesaba
  112. Saim was homeless from the age of four due to the death of his parents
  113. due to a plague localised to the southeastern slums in 603. Saim was
  114. unable to leave this area until 606 when the cordon on the area was
  115. released by the Shibchoyi syndicate after the plague subsided. Cheesaba
  116. was permanently injured by the disease in question, causing partial
  117. hemiplegia on the left side of his body and blindness in his left eye.
  118. No other living family could be found, nor are we aware of any such
  119. connections.
  120.
  121. Saim lived as a beggar until the year 610, at which point he disappeared
  122. to an unknown location until 620, during which time he appears to have
  123. received formal schooling and an influx of funding from some unknown
  124. source. Upon his reemergence, he would act as a diplomat for the
  125. Flamewright, enacting in outreach and attempting to broker deals with
  126. various neighbourhoods within the city and maintaining the wall of
  127. silence that was vital in furthering of the Flamewright's
  128. indoctrination. Notably, he does not appear to engage in subterfuge and
  129. uses his given name in all affairs.
  130.
  131. Saim is a known pacifist and is unlikely to be a threat to any one
  132. individual. Due to his kind and open nature, as well as his direct
  133. influence in the material assistance for much of the city's poorer
  134. neighbourhoods, the author of this document recommends against Excision
  135. as a course of action at the time of writing.

  147. Name: Harthi Rhiero
  148. Aliases: The Hunter
  149. Date of Birth: 12 Dioni 586
  150. Date of Death: None
  151. Race: Dracnari
  152. Height: 19
  153. Weight: 12-13
  154. Hair/Scale/Fur Colour: Brown
  155. Eye Colour: Yellow
  156. Identifying Marks: Scarring across full body, tattoos across full body -
  157. fang tattoos around mouth, multiple eye tattoos on forehead, sweeping
  158. sand dune designs across arms and legs.
  159. Languages: Common, Dracnari
  160. Parents: Arumo Thech (Deceased), Denaa Rhiero (Deceased)
  161. Siblings: Zortag Rhiero (Deceased)
  162. Children: None
  163. Spouse: None
  164. Other Family: Moschomi Rhiero (Grandmother), Mesadari Rhiero (Distant)
  165. Current Residence: Gaudiguch, unknown address
  166. Occupation: Revolutionary, Hunter
  167.
  168. Born to Arumo Thech and Denaa Rhiero in a southern edge-facing
  169. neighbourhood of the city, Harthi Rhiero was brought up from a young age
  170. by his grandmother Moschomi Rhiero after the death of his parents.
  171. Rhiero would learn to hunt from a young age and receive formal martial
  172. training as a child from his grandmother, being trained in the arts of
  173. swordplay as well as the use of basic handmade weapons, trapping, and
  174. some minor use of paradigmatics. For much of his youth, Harthi was a
  175. hunter for the citizens of this neighbourhood, hunting small and large
  176. game in the deeper depths of the Skarch Desert.
  177.
  178. It is unclear how Rhiero became tied in with the Flamewright, but
  179. information gleaned from captured individuals who took part in the
  180. Flamewright's training camps noted that Rhiero was an instructor there
  181. between the years of 622 and 625 and had a reputation for merciless
  182. drilling that would exclude those not fit for physical warfare, often
  183. leaving those who fail for dead out in the deep parts of the desert with
  184. no rations. From 625 onward, Rhiero has taken the blame publicly for
  185. several assassinations, notably including two leading members of the
  186. Shibchoyi family and a number of merchants within the city.
  187.
  188. Rhiero's favoured weapon appears to be a rudimentary, handmade bow which
  189. he has honed to his own use, but he has been known to use a katana as
  190. well. Notes from those who knew him as he grew up note he seemed to show
  191. no outward remorse and even delighted in the suffering of others but
  192. held a distinct fondness for his grandmother. Notable incidents brought
  193. to light include the torture of several small animals and the brutal
  194. torture and exsanguination of two children who stole from his
  195. grandmother.
  196.
  197. Rhiero is to be considered dangerous and only to be handled by
  198. experienced individuals. Excision is recommended, and we do not at this
  199. time see a reason to recommend Gnosis as an alternative.

  229. Dix, Tloxotadari Dix, Ririako Dix, Vanmi Dix, Zorttho Dix, Cavesaro Dix,
  230. Qetra Dix, Cavbi Dix, Chirieo Dix, Ror Dix, Har Dix, Cavircho Dix,
  231. Mosotadari Dix, Hariei Dix, Dlaka Dix, Arudoe Dix, Xisthi Dix, (+48
  232. others, see auxiliary report on the Dix bloodline)
  233. Current Residence: Gaudiguch, unknown address
  234. Occupation: Revolutionary, Pyromancer, Kebab Chef, Flamedancer, Wakabi
  235. Wrangler
  236.
  237. Born to Warin Dix and Hareai Xeth, Dix was the youngest of thirteen
  238. children produced by the couple amongst the countless other
  239. half-siblings and cousins by way of her father and uncles (see auxiliary
  240. report on the Dix bloodline.) Competent with pyromancy from a young age,
  241. Dix was provided a tutor by her father as soon as her talents began to
  242. emerge. Deemed a prodigy from her youth, she honed her skills in the
  243. rich and loving home of her parents in the Skarch. During her adulthood,
  244. she left her home for the big city, hitching a ride with her father
  245. during his exodus to apply as stablemaster of the city, and became a
  246. kebab seller for the next two to three years in the Grand Bazaar where
  247. her stall, Dix Kebabs, became known for having the perfect char on her
  248. meat.
  249.
  250. Some time later, she retired her stall and went on a pilgrimage to
  251. whereabouts unknown with the profits from her culinary venture,
  252. returning to the city some weeks later accompanied by two wakabi with
  253. firegem barding, both of which she promptly sold for an apartment within
  254. the city. She worked as a flamedancer for a short time before apparently
  255. joining the Flamewright's cause - There is no apparent catalyst for this
  256. or, frankly, any of her changes in venture. While under the
  257. Flamewright's employ, she is responsible for multiple counts of arson
  258. and assault, though quite unusually has no known murders to which she
  259. has been attributed. Despite her tendency to burn down houses and
  260. communal buildings on behalf of the Flamewright, she is reported to be
  261. excessively polite and cheerful to the point of uncanniness.
  262.
  263. Dix is considered to be a threat and is to be treated with caution. The
  264. recommended course of action is Gnosis.
  265.
  266. -
  267.
  268. You say, "This is...expansive. More than I'd hoped for, and with a solid lead or five to follow."
  269.
  270. Matron Taschelin nods calmly toward you, offering, "If there are any further questions, I will do my best, but even my information is limited here."
  271.
  272. "Are they interesting peoples?" Pash queries you.
  273.
  274. Matron Taschelin says, "Arguably one of them is."
  275.
  276. You say to Pash, "Very interesting, yes."
  277.
  278. Tonatiuh exists abruptly in this location, surrounded by dissolving, rainbow-hued butterflies.
  279.
  280. Vyell ponders a discreet dossier booklet thoughtfully, looking it up and down.
  281.
  282. Kihr tilts back his head and inhales deeply while twitching a wolf's snout.
  283.
  284. You say, "I am not surprised to know that Moschomi and Mesadari share relation, but the knowledge that one of her grandchildren is so closely involved with the Flamewright is something of a concern. Is she unaware, or leading us on hoping we would not find out?"
  285.
  286. Tonatiuh tilts his head a fraction.
  287.
  288. You say to Tonatiuh, "We have obtained a dossier of the Flamewright and their lieutenants."
  289.
  290. Tonatiuh al-Saaoud, Oracle in Indigo says, "Sounds promising."
  291.
  292. Matron Taschelin says, "The relation is distant enough that I am unsure it is acknowledged. Regardless, I do not see Mesadari turning traitor."
  293.
  294. You nod solemnly to Matron Taschelin.
  295.
  296. Flesh Mistress Pash, the Lightning Blossom says to you, "Moschomi did call the Flamewright an idealist, and did not seem to like them too much..."
  297.
  298. Caliph Hiresh Ryseni, a Newly-Forged Blade says, "Can I ask a question? The recommended solution for many is Gnosis, what does this entail?"
  299.
  300. Matron Taschelin says, "Ah, I should have had it written to be clearer. It is an old euphemism for interrogation."
  301.
  302. "Ah. That is a logical euphemism," Pash muses.
  303.
  304. Flesh Mistress Pash, the Lightning Blossom says, "I assume 'excision' is death..."
  305.
  306. "Hm. If they speak Dracnari, there is a high chance they are dracnari," Pash muses softly observing a discreet dossier booklet closely. "...but it is not impossible they are a linguist..."
  307.
  308. Tonatiuh al-Saaoud, Oracle in Indigo says to Pash, "May I see the dossier once you're done?"
  309.
  310. People's Steward Vyell D'Cente, Desert Sage says, in Dracnari, "I'd half expect anyone in Gaudiguch to speak dracnari from exposure."
  311.
  312. With a twisted grin forming at her lips, Matron Taschelin says, "Of course not. Killing citizens of the city is against the One Law. Of course, if their identities were to be forgotten or lost or, perhaps, entirely changed, they would no longer be citizens and no longer bound to the Law."
  313.
  314. People's Steward Vyell D'Cente, Desert Sage says, "It's out of love for the many that we stop the evils of a few. Such is the responsibility to the Council and its interpretation of the Law to the times."
  315.
  316. Steward Kihr Ryseni, Scribe of Illumination says to Matron Taschelin, "That is...extremely clever. The fact that one could do such a thing, no, many someones could so such a thing is baffling. And right under our snouts too."
  317.
  318. Absently, Flesh Mistress Pash, the Lightning Blossom says, "I see a trend among many of them, in that their close family are primarily dead."
  319.
  320. Flesh Mistress Pash, the Lightning Blossom says, "The exception being the Dix family."
  321.
  322. Matron Taschelin says, "The Dix are... an exception in many, many ways."
  323.
  324. Flesh Mistress Pash, the Lightning Blossom says to Matron Taschelin, "Do you believe the absence of familial ties to be a reason they may have been scouted by the Flamewright?"
  325.
  326. Matron Taschelin says, "It is more than likely. Vulnerable individuals are easier to manipulate."
  327.
  328. Tonatiuh taps the dossier in his possession and raises an inquiring brow to those standing here.
  329.
  330. "Indeed," Pash muses.
  331.
  332. Minister Ovissa Ryseni, a Standup Guy says to Tonatiuh, "I'd like to read it next?"
  333.
  334. Tonatiuh gives a discreet dossier booklet to Minister Ovissa Ryseni, a Standup Guy.
  335.
  336. People's Steward Vyell D'Cente, Desert Sage says, "Isolation from the benefits of the city makes it easy to breed resentment."
  337.
  338. Ovissa thanks Tonatiuh profusely.
  339.
  340. Flesh Mistress Pash, the Lightning Blossom says to Vyell, "Yes. That's why seeding trust is important."
  341.
  342. You say to Hiresh, "We now have a name for the assassin we so nearly brushed elbows with, as an aside. I would consider tracking his location to be of the most pressing importance."
  343.
  344. Ovissa offers the booklet to Kihr.
  345.
  346. Kihr nods his head emphatically.
  347.
  348. Ovissa gives a discreet dossier booklet to Steward Kihr Ryseni, Scribe of Illumination.
  349.
  350. Pash sucks thoughtfully on her teeth.
  351.
  352. Matron Taschelin says, "Are there any further questions, or should I consider this meeting successfully concluded?"
  353.
  354. Tonatiuh al-Saaoud, Oracle in Indigo says, "Was the auxillary report on the Dix passed around as well?"
  355.
  356. You say, "I am certain there is little of important concerning the plethora of Dix."
  357.
  358. Tonatiuh al-Saaoud, Oracle in Indigo murmurs, "Speak for yourself."
  359.
  360. Vyell's eyes sparkle with amusement.
  361.
  362. You smile wryly at Tonatiuh.
  363.
  364. Matron Taschelin says, "Excluded as it contained no useful information, unless you particularly wish to see the results of a man who does not know when to stop propagating his Dix."
  365.
  366. Caliph Hiresh Ryseni, a Newly-Forged Blade says, "Maybe a conversation on their incredibly successful breeding strategies."
  367.
  368. Flesh Mistress Pash, the Lightning Blossom says, "I am missing a joke..."
  369.
  370. Vyell snickers softly to herself.
  371.
  372. Tonatiuh al-Saaoud, Oracle in Indigo says, "I find it fascinating."
  373.
  374. Caliph Hiresh Ryseni, a Newly-Forged Blade says, "Dix sounds like the word for male genitalia, dear Pash."
  375.
  376. Steward Kihr Ryseni, Scribe of Illumination says to Matron Taschelin, "Would you like this back or should I hand it off to the Sultan for record keeping?"
  377.
  378. People's Steward Vyell D'Cente, Desert Sage says, "Yes yes, I think this meeting is concluded, if we're going to have a tangent about such things."
  379.
  380. Matron Taschelin says, "It is also a once-respected Dracnari house. They are mostly wakabiherds these days."
  381.
  382. People's Steward Vyell D'Cente, Desert Sage says, "Yes yes, I think this meeting is concluded, if we're going to have a tangent about such things."
  383.
  384. Matron Taschelin says to Kihr, "Perhaps leave it with the Council."
  385.
  386. Caliph Hiresh Ryseni, a Newly-Forged Blade says, "Remove the x add a c-k."
  387.
  388. Kihr nods his head emphatically.
  389.
  390. Locking her eyes on Hiresh in an uncomfortable stare, Pash blinks one amphibious eye, pausing briefly before she blinks the other.
  391.
  392. Flesh Mistress Pash, the Lightning Blossom says to Hiresh, "...why would I do that? Then it would be inaccurately spelled."
  393.
  394. Caliph Hiresh Ryseni, a Newly-Forged Blade says to Pash, "You too can understand the dirty humor if you try!"
  395.
  396. Caliph Hiresh Ryseni, a Newly-Forged Blade says, "It creates a new word!"
  397.
  398. Hiresh waggles her eyebrows comically.
  399.
  400. You tell Matron Taschelin, "I have no questions involving the dossier at this time, but I do have other questions. Personal questions. Perhaps better served while everyone else is dispatched to follow some lead or another."
  401.
  402. With an indifferent stare, Pash slowly blinks one eye and then the other.
  403.
  404. Kihr tilts back his head and inhales deeply while twitching a wolf's snout.
  405.
  406. Matron Taschelin says, "One more matter then. The invitation has been accepted, but they appear to have the desire to be fashionably late."
  407.
  408. Flesh Mistress Pash, the Lightning Blossom asks Matron Taschelin, "Wakabiherds are useful. Are most not bad people?"
  409.
  410. Caliph Hiresh Ryseni, a Newly-Forged Blade says, "Wait, the invitation, is it today?"
  411.
  412. Matron Taschelin says, "No. They will arrive when a proper dress has been chosen for the occasion, or some such nonsense."
  413.
