A mature felenok pine reaches majestically skyward and seems to hold the heavens in its outstretched limbs.  Large cones burden the ends of each branch, making them arc slightly downward.  Few felenok seeds survive to fulfill their purpose, as they are sweet to the palate of local squirrels that eagerly pry them from their cones before they drop to the ground.

Twin maple seedlings grow in a depression atop a very large basalt boulder.  A passing bird must have deposited the seeds, as there are no other maple trees in the glade.  Birds enjoy the rock because the shallow wells in its surface hold water high enough from the ground that they can drink and bathe here without being menaced by the glade's larger inhabitants.

Cresting above the thundering rapids, the bridge affords the traveler a panoramic vista of the entire region.  To the north, the forests of northern Forfedhdar extend as far as the eye can see.  Southward lies the great walled city of Hibarnhvidar, backed by the mountains rising in the distance.  The river rushes onward to the west, where it empties into the many-armed Sawstwar Lake.
