The handles on the double doors that led to Regent's 'throne room' were utilitarian doorknobs on the outside, but the inner handles were in an ornate lever style. My spiders looped a strand of silk around each of the inner handles, then yanked the cords simultaneously. The doors swung open soundlessly in front of us as though opened by invisible doormen, and I smirked a little bit underneath my mask. Theoretically I was showing off to maintain the loyalty of my new recruits, but it didn't hurt that it was at least a little bit fun.
