Unfortunate Gallant Hero - Haru Camdyn (TGC - Bio)

[b]Appearance:[/b]

Haru is a young man of average height and with a thin body. His hair is short and somewhat spiky, as well of a red color. His eyes are amber and his skin has a healthy light tone. He also has a well-toned physique, even with his thin frame, and hidden benearth his clothes lay a couple of scars across his back and one on the front.

As for clothing, he tends to wear a black sleeveless t-shirt and a white vest with black details and designs on top of it, as well as a pair of slightly baggy pants and black with white sneakers (with a slight reinforcement for his kicks). He also wears a golden bracelet around his left wrist and on his forehead some kind of black headband with a white stripe going across.

[b]Personality:[/b]

Haru can be quite the excitable yet somewhat naive boy. When it comes to worlds and people he tends to be easily amazed, specially when it has to do with heroes and adventures. While upbeat and carefree, the fact that he is not much of a hero-material makes him get nervous when a situation becomes complciated, but still hides a courageous and kind heart that he has yet to fully realize. Also, he can be quite clumsy even when trying to help out, sometimes ending in silly misfortune (SPECIALLY when his Dark Wind is invovled in some mischief). That has made him somewhat cautious when it comes to approaching and addressing people.

Yet in the end, even with all these flaws, his biggest drive is his incredible determiantion, willing to continue trying no matter how many odds are against him.

[b]Powers:[/b]

After being altered by the mysterious nature of the [i]Convergence[/i], Haru met and gained the ability to control the [i]Dark Wind[/i]. This Dark Wind is a somewhat invisible entity that resides and moves around his body and taking shape in a magic wind of black or dark purple-toned color.

It's origins seem unknown as of now and it seems to only communicate in the shape of growls and snarls which only Haru himself can hear. As it name implies, its element seems to be a combination between Darkness (shadows) and Wind.

[u]Ominous Wind:[/u] A simple yet effective attack where Haru causes a powerful blast of repulsive wind forward. This dark wind can be quite strong and even able to cut like a sharp blade, but it can also be wild and not good when too many allies are close. (Can't be used, however, when utilizing Umbral Constructs)

[u]Umbral Construct:[/u] The Dark Wind's main skill. Utilizing the power of the Dark Wind, Haru can cerate different forms or Constructs that he can utilize in battle. The wind swirls around his arm (or whenever the construct appears) until creating a form or weapon made out of shadow and wind energy. For now, Haru only possesses a few different constructs, but as his skills and imagination grow, he may be able to learn more in the future...

[i]Umbral Arm[/i] - One of the most used constructs by Haru. It makes the Dark Wind swirl around his arms and transforming them into a bulkier and shadow-constructed pair. For starters, this grants him an increased strength to allow the lifting and throwing of heavy objects. Also, it lets him make sharp claws from the hands to slash at enemies.

The most incredible ability, however, is the power to stretch these shadowly limbs to further distances. This can be useful to hit enemies at a distance, grab and swing around the area and even more. However the streching has a limit and only affects the shadow arms rather than other parts of his body.

[i]Umbral Wings[/i] - Using its shadow and wind powers, this magic grants Haru a pair of construct wings that, while not techncially attacked to his back, allows him to fly for a short perioid of time. A good to move across the terrain and deal with airbone threats. The one downside, however, is the inability to utilize other Umbral constructs while the wings are in use.

[i]Umbral Shield[/i] - A variation in the Umbral arm construct, this allows Haru to transform his shadowly arms into a big shield to protect himself against projectile damage. While granting great defense, it also limits his movement and offensive skills while in use.

[i]Umbral Roll[/i] - This construct makes the Dark Wind completly surround Haru, transforming him into a big orb of wind and shadow. In this state, he can roll and tackle at enemies with great power, but limits moveability a lot as it can be hard to direct around when rolling.

[u]Confine:[/u] This power allows Haru to seal the Dark Wind in the depths of his heart, whatever it's for saftey, to let it rest or because he is in the need of personal space without a crazy wind spirit around. In this state, the Dark Wind can't hear nor speak with Haru nor anyone on the outside, which also means none of his other powers can be used unless its summoned back.

[b]Abilities:[/b] Haru doesn't have much abilities beyond a normal human being. His has a averange combat knowledge due to his training and a very decent knowledge when it comes to magical creatures like demons. still, this abilities hasn't been fully realized yet. He specializes in hand-to-hand combat and martial arts.

Also, due to the crazy nature of his world, he is somewhat more resistant to physical damage, but due to his humanity and...generic-ness...he can't resist as much as other inhabitants of his universe.

[b]Weapons:[/b] He doesn't have a weapon other than his fists and feet. He does, however, wear a pair of black gloves of a resistant material.

[b]Equipment:[/b] None at the moment.

[b]Enlightenment:[/b] By the nature of his universe, Haru is aware of the existance of other worlds, as well as possesing a /very/ thin 4th wall.

[b]History:[/b]

Young Haru grew up on a rural area in the human world known as the planet Earth. Since he was very little, he imerssed himself into the many stories about gallant heroes, amazing adventures, and villanous demons. Dreaming of such exploits, he dedicated a big part of his days practicing the art of combat and reading about the dangers of the Netherworld.

His family however, wasn't very supportive. Focused in financial wealth, they never really understood Haru's dreams of adventure and do-goodery and rather shrug them as "Hopeless dreams". Haru's clumsy nature just further emphasized why he should just give up on it.

The red-haired boy, however, did not surrender, and continued learning and training even with all his short-commings until, once old enough, he traveled to the big city in order to elist into the [b]Defenders of Earth[/b]: the planet's main heroic defense force against the dangers of the Netherworld and beyond.

Unfortunatly, fate had something else in store for the poor hero wannabe. That night before the try-outs, Haru awoke from sleep late at night as a rumble was suddenly felt. Exiting his apartment and searching across the streets, he then met with the strangest sight: a mysterious fracture in space right before him. He had learn about these, as according to his books, demons tended to transport between worlds by the use of dimension gates, but somethign seemed odd about this one. But unknown for him was the fact this [I]wasn't[/I] your usual dimension gate, but rather a rift in space and time created by The Great Convergence.

His curiosity increased and soon he extended his hand at it, just a little touch. Then suddenly, Haru recieved a powerful shock of energy followed by a blast of wind that knocked him on his back unconcious. He woke up a few hours later, his head spinning. Something was wrong, a strange whisper echoed through his mind. More like a soft growl. He looked at his hand and was horrified when he saw his arms covered in shadows, with sharp claws like some kind of monster. He thought it may just be a dream, but a pointless pinch later showed him that this was a reality. He somehow gained powers, demonic powers!!

He couldn't show up the next day looking like the creatures the Defenders of Earth swore to protect the land from, he thought. They would kick him out, or worse, hunt him down! To make matters worse, he couldn't stop feeling a strange presence inside of him, some kind of creature lurging in the winds around him. That's when the wind started to blow aroudn him, like it was trying to communicate. A vision filled Haru's mind for a brief instant, the image of what it seemed like a monstrous wolf glaring back at him. That thing, that Dark Wind, was part of him now.

In an act of desperation and fear, he recklessly fell into the rupture. A powerful blind blinded right before being absorbed into its depths and launched him across the cosmos like a shooting star.

Haru then arrived, or rather crash-landed, on the streets of Radiant Garden. He wandered for a while, confused and scared, until arriving at the hosue of the powerful wizard Merlin, who explained the situation to him. he young man learned how other inhabitants of this realm have been transported outside their worlds before and that some of them have even come from a entirely different dimension. As a final gift, Merlin directed him to Cid, who gave his a Gummi Ship for him to use.

No longer able to return home, now with this entity inside of him, Haru decided to continue his trail to become a hero in here. And so, the boy embarked in his quest, hopefully wishing to find his destiny among the stars...
