Ismor. The name of a distant plot of land, in a distant world. In certain parts of it, not very different from our Earth. Unsurprising, as part of it's population hails from our planet. Ismor serves as a nexus of worlds, where oddities of all sorts and times have gathered. Each people group adds to the diversity of population, bringing with them new cultures and knowledge to further advance known technologies.

There are many unknown species "native" to Ismor, and many phenomena that you wouldn't expect to see in any other world, yet all can be traced back to nature's own whims, and traits. What would you expect, after all, of an alien world?

Among these unique features of the world, one of the most peculiar is the existence of a relatively small number of people, are given mystical powers. Such a person is called a Magus, and is almost always female, with only three or four males ever recorded, and even then, the cases were iffy. At most, it is suspected that half a dozen guys ever got their hands on magical powers.

Why are only females selected? Not even the entities bestowing these magical powers (called Guardians) know.

Well.... You, dear reader, assuming you find yourself interested enough to join, might find out... For the players of this game, are to be one of these Magi. Gifted with great power, yet burdened with many troubles and a bitter adversary.

Said adversary, is the Taint. An unseen disease, or infection, that can be contracted from any source, but primarily, through a form of contact with the already tainted. It used to affect only wild animals, with the occasional abnormality appearing here and there. But now, human victims have begun appearing too. And while most Magi had no contact with the Tainted, the human variation seems explicitly drawn to attack Magi. And Magi, seem compelled to fight them.

But you might still have some questions! Below, is some information on it all!
