5. Coolreader. XML/CSS based ereader. Supported formats: FB2, TXT, RTF, DOC, TCR, HTML, EPUB, CHM, PDB, MOBI. Platforms: Win32, Linux, Android. https://sourceforge.net/projects/crengine/?source=directory Old and not updated since 2015. When hyphenation is turned off, it still hyphenates. No way to find version of the program in the program screen. No tooltips on top menubar. No way to control interparagraph spacing. Does not indent quoted material. Does not indent subchapters in TOC. Does not associate EPUB files with itself. Does not show JPG pictures.
6. EpubFileReader. http://www.epubfilereader.com/. 2018: No customization at all. All text is black. Window resizes correctly if EPUB has long lines. Clicking on link shows website in reader window, it does not use your default browser. TOC on left side, cannot be turned off. Can change font size but not other font attributes. Bullet lists look ok. Does not shrink large images to fit window.
   1. One of the better EPUB apps I've found. This is not a browser plugin.
   2. Can print the current chapter in the reading pane.
   3. Subchapters are not indented in the table of contents.
   4. To increase the font size on the right reading pane: Click the reading pane once, hit CONTROL-+ to increase font size, CONTROL-minus to decrease font size.
7. FBReader. It supports plenty of formats, such as, ePub, fb2, plucker, Mobipocket, oeb, OpenReader, ztxt, rtf, pdf, djvu, odt, iSilo, and many others. For Windows, Linux, Android, iOS, more. No updates since 2015? Might be a dead project. Does not indent lines for bullets. https://fbreader.org/

9. Readium project, tries to support most of the EPUB3 spec. https://github.com/readium. Also at https://readium.org/. I don't know if this is a spec, software, or something else.

Firefox addons

1. Epubreader. New version for FF 54+ cannot read last few lines in a chapter on some books. Long lines seem to confuse the reader. Solution: resize FF window then open book. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/epubreader/?src=search NOTE:
   1. v2.1.13 This will ignore the book's CSS settings and always give you justified text. It also ignores HTML tag classes.
2. EPUB reader. Open local EPUB or via URL. Does not do page break on new chapter if in "scrolled" mode, but has many other reading modes. You might want "spreads" mode. Gets error on embedded <script>. Has night mode, and "reload UI". Can also load EPUB via URL you type in. 3. EPUB reader. Has TOC, convert EPUB to PDF, use right-click menu on EPUB file on web page, opens EPUB from web. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/epub-manager/?src=search.

5. myBook. Automatically goes to 2 columns if the window is wide enough, or you can force it to show one or two pages. Has book marks, adjust font size. The only color changes you have are 3 premade schemes: light mode, dark mode, sepia mode. Total justification can be a bit hard to read with extra spacing. No web mode (where you scroll vertically through a whole chapter), it has page mode only. CON: does not resize images to fit window so images span multiple pages and overlap text. 6. QiuReader. Good reviews. Turn left pane TOC on and off. Works as narrow window. Cursor down goes to next page in chapter. You can highlight text but can only choose one of 5 colors. 1. Convertio. https://convertio.co/. Converts many formats to other formats including documents, images, videos, more.
2. http://document.online-convert.com/convert-to-txt. One of the best.
3. http://zamzar.com. You upload PDF and it emails it back to you. Indents things on the page like paragraphs, TOC, footnotes, etc. Not what I want.
4. http://pdftotext.com/. Upload multiple files and download all the converted files at once. Exact same output as online-convert.com.
5. https://www.freepdfconvert.com/. Only converts first 2 pages, to convert all pages sign up for free account.
