  1. [01:27] Lukas had twisted and formed the water into something beyond the reaches of Esshar. Such existed at its very depths, lurking, silent.. Until some fool threw a water magi into the river. The river completely stopped its flow downstream, the point beyond where the water sea beast began taking form acted as some sort of blockage that slowly collected the water, slowly built and grew in side.
  2.
  3. Another cackle escaped them. Elias thought he got off easy but he was a fool. This defeat became their victory. Jets of water shot out from the tendrils in random directions. As they smashed against the grass and moved slowly, at the center, where Elias seemed to have cast his fishing line was Lukas, fully encased in water yet their cackling voice rang out rather clear.
  4.
  5. They seemed to be having fun, at least.
  6.
  7. But then that line got closer and closer. Jets of water made attempts to blast it into two but it hooked onto Lukas. They're quite literally yanked from the little bubble. Perhaps it wasn't the best move.
  8.
  9. "AAAAAH!!! MY POWER!! THE OCEAN, NOOW! I MUST RETURN TO WHERE I'M MEANT TO BEEEE!!"
  10.
  11. No longer at the hub of the tentacles-- They lost their form, quickly wobbling before pouring out and into the area at great speed. It'd be best to run, especially the one holding Lukas' son.
  12. (Lukas mer Joyau)

  14.
  15. [01:35] In a flash reaction, he felt it to be much too cumbersome to run around with a child in his arms, A'Neje decides instead to run towards the staff he had planted into the soggy earth.
  16.
  17. With merely a single arm free for such a purpose, he grasps the staff, and channels his mana into a singular force. The resulting frost segmented, parting from the root piercing the dirt and coursing upwards. Crystals formed upon crystals, freezing the very waters that sunk into the grass and mud beneath their feet. Eventually, an obstruction of ice had been formed! Such a defense mechanism, the iceberg maneuver as he would like to consider it, rose from the ground to defend against the torrent...
  18.
  19. Of course, this would only be fit to serve as a defensive measure for A'Neje and the child in his arm... Anyone else in the immediate area would simply have to cut their losses.
  20. (A'Neje Dhoreci)

  22.
  23. [01:40] Legendary Fisherman!
  24.
  25. Having separated Lukas from the very hub of the tentacles-- Would Elias run away scared?! Nay! Raising a hand, forming a barrier of gravity around himself and his prized catch-- "Tssk, Tssk! What a fish!" Raising his fishing pole a little! Oof, hefty thing! "Green-hair! Eyes akin to the ocean itself! Smell o' defeat." Appraising them, he'd nod.
  26.
  27. "Caught myself THE Lukas-fish! An ancient beast that lay dormant beneath the waves.. let us unveil our discovery to the world!" Definitely will be soggy ground.
  28. (Elias)
  29. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  30.
  31. [01:41] Elias says, "Tiny bit cantankerous as well."
  32. [01:47] Lukas had been caught. Them. And by a mere magi. They were drenched in water as they laid on soggy grass, probably getting dirty from the mud and grass.
  33.
  34. All the water finally dispersed, the poor area would take weeks to recover with enough sunlight. Lukas eyes eye tight before opening as they gasped sharply.. Like a fish.
  35.
  36. "I'll.. destroy.. yoou!!" They threw their body at the man but that was about it. Mud covered arms wrapped around him tightly as they grinned from ear to ear.
  37.
  38. "Let's go.. to the ocean~ C'mon, c'mon~" The much shorter of the two started pushing Elias towards the river, giggling quietly as they did so... Then they stopped.
  39.
  40. "Oh, Ellis!!" They pushed Elias forward, maybe he went flying into the river. Their ocean hues peered around until they spotted an ice barrier. Without any warning, if A'Neje wasn't paying attention, a soaked, muddy Lukas popped from around the ice.
  41.
  42. "My baaaby~ C'mere, c'mere~" They cooed in a sweet, soft voice, arms out for their child.
  43. (Lukas mer Joyau)
  44. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  45.
  46. [01:52] A'Neje was left relatively dry in such circumstances. He was kneeling a bit, with the sort of body language that showed that he was very afraid of getting wet. He was equally as wary of getting the child wet, too...
  47.
  48. But that thought vanished from his head, when Lukas showed himself from the other side of his defenses.
  49.
  50. Nearly jumping, he recognizes the leviathan, and promptly hands over the child.
  51.
  52. "Please, do be more careful... Call it stereotypical, but I do mind getting wet."
  53. (A'Neje Dhoreci)
  54. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  55.
  56. [02:02] Lukas grabbed their son, taking him into their muddy hold. Later they'll be upset that his white onesie had been dirtied later. For now, they basked in his presence. The little green bean babbled a few words, some making sense, others not. He says 'sauce' a bunch of times. Then 'poo', likely due to the mud on their person. What a smart baby.
  57.
  58. "Ehh~? Does my little gem want some apple sauce? Ah wait did you..." They glance down the child, noting the odd brown coloration. How the hell?
  59.
  60. "Aaahh???? Ahhhhh!" A bit of panic before they realize it was simply mud. Sighing in relief, they approached the cloaked Felinae.
  61.
  62. "Thank you for watching my son. As a thanks.." He received a.. muddy pat on the shoulder followed by a big grin. "I hope he didn't give you any tro--" Their head yanked off to the side as Ellis grabbed a tiny fist full of their green locks.
  63.
  64. "AAAA- E-Ellis please let go..."
  65. (Lukas mer Joyau)
  66. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  67.
  68. [02:07] A pat on the back. Gee, he shouldn't have...
  69.
  70. The nice new cloak he wore was nice and new, and unfortunately he couldn't use those descriptors anymore after tonight. At least he felt appreciated for his efforts.
  71.
  72. If ice could solve every problem... But, in hindsight, it very well could. He had saved himself from drowning with the power of ice. A layer of thick frost between him and the waters...
  73.
  74. "Perhaps this would be a proper indication of my progress towards a new technique. To hold layers of ice between me and a quarry, instead of me and an offending attack."
  75.
  76. He would have thanked Lukas for the inspiration, though it did seem like he was occupied. Time will simply have to tell how this manifests.
  77. (A'Neje Dhoreci)
