  1. Alright I forgot to do this when the awards were released so I'm doin it all now. First I'll paste the prediction then write a bit about it.
  2.
  3. Prediction:
  4. NL West: Dodgers, DBacks, Giants, Rockies, Padres
  5. Actual:
  6. Dodgers, Giants, Rockies, DBacks, Padres
  7. Comments:
  8. God damnit Dbacks, lmao. You'll see later that I put quite a bit of faith in the DBacks as a sleeper. This pastebin was made pre Pollock injury so it made more sense but I certainly wouldn't have put them as low as they fell. To further justify putting DBacks second instead of Giants I'll say I hate the Giants. Seriously tho, fuck the Giants.
  9.
  10. Prediction:
  11. NL Central: Cubs, Cardinals, Pirates, Brewers, Reds
  12. Actual:
  13. Cubs, Cards, Pirates, Brewers, Reds
  14. Comments:
  15. Not much to say here, this was a real easy prediction to make lol.
  16.
  17. Prediction:
  18. NL East: Nationals, Mets, Marlins, Braves, Phillies
  19. Actual:
  20. Nats, Mets, Marlins, Phils, Braves
  21. Comments:
  22. Pretty decent here, didn't expect the early surge the Phils had. Phils seem like a good team down the road but right now I don't think they're too great, hence the prediction.
  23.
  24. Prediction:
  25. AL West: Rangers, Astros, Angels, Mariners, A's
  26. Actual:
  27. Rangers, Mariners, Astros, Angels, A's
  28. Comments:
  29. Astros were a team that looked too good not to put at number 2. Could have never seen Keuchel falling down so far. I underrated the Mariners as I usually do, I believed in Mike Trout too much to put them ahead of the Angels.
  30.
  31. Prediction:
  32. AL Central: Royals, White Sox, Tigers, Indians, Twins
  33. Actual:
  34. Indians, Tigers, Royals, Sox, Twins
  35. Comments:
  36. Boy did I fuck this one up. I didn't really believe in the Sox too much, but I'm a homer so they had to be up there. The Indians are a team I hear constantly as a pick to win the division then they never live up to it so I figured that cycle would continue. Didn't forsee Royals falling down as far as they did, but it makes sense that it happened.
  37.
  38. Prediction:
  39. AL East: Blue Jays, Yankees, Red Sox, Orioles, Rays
  40. Actual:
  41. Red Sox, Orioles, Jays, Yanks, Rays
  42. Comments:
  43. The Orioles were unexpected, I dunno what else to say about them. Jays looked crazy good, redsox looked pretty good but fall in the same boat as the Indians. My faith in the Yankees comes from Didi Gregorius, that dude is p dang good. Not good enough to carry the team tho.
  44.
  45. Prediction:
  46. AL Wild Card: Astros, White Sox
  47. NL Wild Card: Cardinals, DBacks
  48. Actual:
  49. AL: Orioles, Jays
  50. NL: Giants, Mets
  51. Comments:
  52. I've commented on my thoughts on all these teams except the Cards. The Cards have been so consistently good that it felt dumb to bet against them.
  53.
  54. Prediction:
  55. AL Champ: Rangers
  56. NL Champ: Nationals
  57. World Series Winner: Rangers
  58. (I'm really shaky on my NL champ pick but I really don't want to put the Cubs there b/c it feels like every time there's hype like this behind them they choke)
  59. Actual:
  60. AL: Indians
  61. NL + WS: Cubs
  62. Comments:
  63. Hey the Cubs didn't choke, what the heck. These predictions would have been boring if I had picked the Cubs so I wanted to spice it up. Rangers picked seemed decent going into the playoffs (aside from their terrible run differential that meant they hardly belonged in the playoffs) and the Nats did too. Unfortunately the Rangers luck caught up to them and the Nats choked in the division series again, surprise, surprise.
  64.
  65. (Awards have obvious choice and a sleeper)
  66.
  67. Prediction:
  68. AL MVP: Mike Trout | Manny Machado
  69. NL MVP: Paul Goldschmidt | AJ Pollock
  70. Actual:
  71. AL: Trout
  72. NL: Bryant
  73. Comments: Hey Trout got MVP, I did a thing. Manny Machado was a damn good sleeper too. Early in the season he was looking like the MVP. Again the faith in the DBacks comes up. Goldschmidt is super good and so is Pollock. Unfortunately, Pollock got injured shortly after my original pastebin and was out for most of the season. That was no good. I'll admit to thinking Bryant would be victim to a sophmore slump, he was not, good stuff to him.
  74.
  75. Prediction:
  76. AL Cy Young: Chris Sale | Jose Quintana
  77. NL Cy Young: Clayton Kershaw | Stephen Strasburg
  78. Actual:
  79. AL: Rick Porcello
  80. NL: Max Scherzer
  81. Comments:
  82. In regards to the AL picks, I'm a homer, nothing else to say other than they both had alright cases at the end of the season. Both my NL picks were good. Kershaw was a lock until he got hurt. Strasburg looked like a lock after Kershaw got hurt but had some shaky starts and got injured as well.
  83.
  84. Prediction:
  85. AL ROY: Byron Buxton | idk
  86. NL ROY: Corey Seager | idk
  87. Actual:
  88. AL: Fulmer
  89. NL: Seager
  90. Comments:
  91. Seager is a god, was the MVP of my fantasy team. Buxton wasn't very good but ended the season doing well so maybe he'll keep that up. ROY is real hard to predict since they can be call ups that I don't know much about.
  92.
  93.
  94. Real fun season, looking forward to more baseball in the spring.
