58. Similar to "The Dirty Dozen" or one of that nature. Japan is trying to take over the world and the generals of the allied forces trying to stop the Japanese have been taken prisoner. A force of loners and fighters is put together to try and rescue the generals and save the war effort with the promise of gold and/or pardons of past crimes.
 59. Set at some point during the thirties or forties, Japan is at war with China. During an attack on the Chinese forces, the Japanese capture four Western Generals. Fearing that if this news were to reach their troops it would affect their morale greatly, the Chinese hire Captain Don Wen to form a commando squad and get the Generals back in four days. Don decides to regroup his old squad (consisting of thief Old Sun, escape artist Grease Lightning, con artist Billy and his ex-girlfriend Lily, the bumbling and apparently unnamed General and his buddy Stone) one last time to get the Generals back. Don is apparently killed in an attack but the group continues on regardless, with the aid of ex-wrestler Sammy and his former manager Emily who trail the group to make sure they stay alive, so they'll have a share of the reward. Towards the end, the previously comical film takes a bizarre turn and climaxes at a Japanese bunker where the group go kamikaze and fight off a small army in the hope that the last survivor will be able to claim the reward. But are the Japanese the only villains?
 60. This may well be the weirdest movie ever made. It's so bizarre it borders on life-changing. The notorious Lieutenant Don brings together a crack squad of incredibly strange characters, including Jackie Chan, whose screen time amounts to about fifteen minutes. Together the eclectic warriors of the Fantasy Mission Force face everything from toilet-paper-throwing Amazon women (in 1945 China) to ghosts to evil warlocks, all leading up to a final showdown with an army of Nazis, aliens, samurai and Roman centurions riding on top of bulldozers and 1970's muscle cars. And don't get me started on the cameo by World War II Allied Major General Abraham Lincoln (yes, they say his name, and yes, it is Abraham Lincoln). No review could ever do Fantasy Mission Force justice. This movie would make my screenwriting professor break down in tears.

10/10
 61. I've got good news & bad news.

Fantasy Mission Force (English Title) falls between a homage to HK cinema of the time and a strong parody of North American action. Despite the opening title cards, this is not a Jackie Chan vehicle. This is in no way a discredit to the film, as the opening credits are a prize in itself.

The movie shrugs off any subtly with it's plot explanation and jumps right into the round up of the 'all it's own' task force. Comprised mostly of highly specialized criminals & ex-military, the team makes it's way across the world to rescue government officials from the Japanese.

Danger 5 + Expendables + Hot Shots! Part Deux = This 1982 classic

 63. The Japan-DVD features an extended cut of the movie. In several parts there are longer action sequences. These are not worth mentioning and will be interesting to collectors only, to whom this might be a good buy. a5c7b9f00b
