Ace of Spades FAQ

Shovel Knight Ace of Spades Speedrun Marathon FAQ:

Inspired by the Super Mario 602 marathon, this category tests your Shovel Knight skills in every major category.
The four main categories are:

Low% - finish the game with no upgrades at all
Any% - finish the game with whatever you want
New Game+ (NG+) - Start with all upgrades. Everything does extra damage, fewer checkpoints in levels, and less health drops.
100% - collect all shovel/armor upgrades, relics, and the 46 music sheets.

You are free to do these in any order. I use 2 timers. One is for each individual category, so I know my exact time for that run. The other is for the overall time it takes to finish all 4 back to back. Overall Time starts when you select "yes" on file select for the first category and ends upon final hit to Enchantress 2 at the end of the 4th category. Additionally, you must wait to see "Saving" in the top right corner of the screen after killing Enchantress 2 before starting the next category. (That is just an arbitrary rule I made so it is bound to change). You skip the credits between categories by closing and reopening the game.

I am the only one to ever attempt this (as far as I know) and I hope someone else will try it eventually. I have done 2 Ace of Spades and finished at 4:05:37 and 4:02:06.
