- According to Jagex ANY AHK IS BANNABLE OTHER THAN REMAPPING.
- In practice, we are not really seeing any bans actually happen and many people continue to use AHK the way they previously did.
- This is what this paste used to say:
- To quote Mod Mat K's statement on Reddit:
- "The answer to AHK is that if you use it you run the risk of being banned. Although in the past you have heard people quote an 1:1 rule, this is not nor has ever been true. It is a myth that many people (including Jmods) believed and as such was propagated as fact. It is not a fact.
- The only answer we will give is that if you use it you run the risk of being banned.
- Our approach to AHK has not changed so if you have been using it for a long time and have not been banned you are probably safe to assume what you are doing is okay. The reason we won't be more specific is those that want to cheat will push any guidelines we set out to the max and when they get banned they will complain that they thought what they were doing were in the guidelines."

- If you use AHK in the same style as Windows MouseKeys, as in only using dropdowns and clicks, your chance of getting banned and staying banned is 0% based on current evidence. If you go beyond that things become more and more questionable, and it's up to you how far you want to go. I personally stick with simple 1:1 and now stay away from diagonal mousemoves, and I would never use an alternating script or a mousewheel script because while those are technically 1:1 they are sketchy. You have to use your own discretion.
