- Jimmy's life started of great, middle class life, solid early education, and soon along with his parents membership in the fastest rising religion in the world. Thanks to his parent's prominence as leaders in the Universal Brotherhood, Jimmy spent his formative years rubbing elbows with people of import from all walks of life; CEOs and their families, local businessmen and elected officials, members and leaders of local gangs were all counted amongst his friends. Then, in 2055 at the tender age of 10, the truth came out. Not only was the UB itself far more pervasive and dangerous than was commonly known, but Jimmy's parents were shamans of the brotherhood, using their son as a recruiting tool.
- Gone were the friendships he had once know. Sent into the system as an orphan things proved rougher that anyone knew. No family wanted a child tainted by association with the UB and it's shamans. Let alone one that had actively helped recruit. By 14 Jimmy was on the street alone. Careful to only associate with those who had been members along side him, and thus were at risk of the same exposure; or to keep the secret of past associations from any who he met, Jimmy survived on his wits alone.
- At 15, Jimmy felt the calling. The weight of death, loss, and suffering combined with latent magical talent gave rise to the calling from the Dark King. Knowledge of the arcane, access to secrets, and above all, the power to summon companionship and ease the ever present loneliness.
