"Dont know where to start or what to say. I've done debriefings before but not really one like this"

"Anthony (stony) Rockefeller, captain of the rockheads unit, we were the wreckers of the Crowns army. A ragtag group they tossed the more....stubborn and challenging recruits into. Some make it while others.....didnt."

"Captain huh? Must have been rough to get that high on the ladder. Why did you leave?"

"Yeah not many in the unit make it long to climb the ranks so I guess I got lucky. As to why I left?.....I....I'd rather not talk about it"

"Its ok. Your in a safe place. Please we wish to know for the report"

"Alright...but it ain't pretty. It was the battle against the dragon cult...though before that I should probably start from the beginning huh?"

Story:

"ALRIGHT ROCK FOR BRAINS!!! In a week from now we are marching out to help the Crowns army with a raid on a dragon cult outpost, and we need to be ready." A younger looking half orc commanded standing in front of an odd medley of soldiers in a barracks. "Oi! What we goin to war with them wackjobs for? Ain't they just some bath robe wearing lizard lovers?" A dwarf says as he finishes braiding his beard. "I know your new Nodder but even a foot stool like you should know that the dragon cult is far worse then just some random cult. These are the people who wish to bring back tiamat and an army of dracolich." An elf argues while she draws her bow and checks her arrows. "Eve?" Stony asks the elf looking around "do you know where Ulrich and Nephira are?" Almost as if just saying their names would summon them a scaled leg kicks open the doors revealing a dark red tiefling with blue hair and a yellow scaled dragon born laughing and stumbling drunk off their ass. "Drinking like usual from the looks of it" she says quivering the last of her arrows not even looking at the two fools. "ULRICH! NEPHIRA! what the hell did I tell you two about drinking while on duty? Do you two drunks not remember what happened the last time?" Stony barks at the two. "Oh come on cap'n *hic* it was only a few rounds. Besides it was ladies night at the pub on base. So it wasnt like anything happen cap'n" the tiefling says leaning on Ulrich. "Hey that last bit rhymed. Happen cap'n nice one Neph" ulrich happy pointed out. Looking like he is about to bust a vein stony glares at the both of them "I want. The two of you. To get outside right now.....AND RUN LAPS TILL YOU VOMIT UP EVERY OUNCE OF BOOZE IN YOUR GUT NOW!!!!!!!!" He ordered in a loud booming voice that would scare even a beholder. Before the captain could finish giving the order, the both of them were already tripping over each other running out to the field. "Dont you think you might have been a bit harsh on them?" A small scrawny androgynous looking man said holding a staff. "Its fine Tristan. I'm sure you can heal them afterwards. They need to learn their actions have consequences. They are decent soldiers but they have a long way before they could be considered decent men." Stony answered as he walks out to keep an eye on the two.

Interview:

"I'll be honest. Was I perhaps tough on my soldiers? Yeah, but that's because I cared. See I had a bit of a tough upbringing. My mom passed soon after giving birth and my old man wasnt much help since he basically dropped me off at a small village and fucked off when I was young. So I had to pretty much raise myself. Luckily I was picked up during my teen years by a Crowns guard when I tried to steal some food, and instead of arresting me he gave me a choice. Rot in a cell or join the guard. As you can tell I chose the soldier life. Sadly while the man who took me in was kind, his higher ups? Not so much, they tossed me in the rockhead unit a unit full of unwanted or uncontrollable recruits. Only sent out on missions that normal soldiers cant handle or dont want. But thanks to the captain before me I was able to survive and rise the ranks till I became it's new leader. Once in charge I decided to show up the jerks who looked down on us and decided to turn the unit into something people could be proud of. Take care of those under me since no one else would. Ya know?"

"And where did this nickname, stony, come from? What's the story behind that"

"Ah see that is an interesting one. Back when I first joined they first called be Tony. But during a mission against a Cockatrice. I got bit by it just as I went swinging onto it. Killed the bastard but it turned me to stone in the process. Stayed that way for a few hours. So ever since then they called me stony and the name stuck."

"Sorry for interrupting but you said some didnt make it yet you made it to captain? How come?"

"Well I did say it was a unit of undesirables. Some were so uncontrollable they were sent back to prison, others broke under the stress and went to the looney bin, lost a few to battle, then there were the lucky few who got a ticket out. They took it and hauled it out. I got a chance to get one every now and then but never took it. I dont know why. Guess because even with how fucked the unit was.....kind of saw it as my family since i never had one."

"Seems you were very close. Please continue with the report"

A few days later on the trail to the outpost the crew are making their way with 3 horses, a covered wagon for the gear and "Bah how long is it going to take. I'm itching to smash a dragon with me hammer" nodder said poking his head out of a covered wagon. "Come on man. Quit yo bitchin. Least you get to ride comfy. You could be in Ulrich's shoes poor guy cant even fit on a horse" nephira replied. "tis fine. I dont mind the walk. I kind of find it refreshing. Good for your body after all" Ulrich answered in a gravelly voice. "I swear nodder. If your so eager to smash something why dont you do us a favor and put that hammer to your own head. Maybe it might knock some sense into you" eve complained. "Oh come on princess, why dont ya take that stick out your ass and I can show what my "hammer" can really do hehe" the dwarf said while gyrating his hips. Disgusted eve looks away "I'll have you know that's sexual harassment and I'd sooner fill you full of arrows then let your "hammer" get anywhere near me". "Besides man given your size id doubt she'd even feel a thing." Nephira added. "Enough we're almost at town. Try to behave yourselves and dont get us kicked out before we rest up and restocked" stony asked knowing that might be one order that's in the hand of the gods with his crew.

After parking their wagon and horses at the local stable the crew heads to a small local inn to get a decent meal and relax. "Tristan, mind going up and ordering us a few drinks while we find seats" stony asks before the tiefling pops in "hey what about me man? I'll order the drinks?". Annoyed at the request stony answers as he sends Tristan off to the bar "because knowing you. You'll burn through all our funding on drinks and "company" and after the last time I let you order.....not happening. Besides this is a good lesson for him". "If yer trying to get the young lad to grow a pair I say let me take out on a night on the town. I can guarantee he'll grow hair on his chest and then some. Bahaha" noddy bellowed out laughing. "That or wind up in jail. Tell me....what was it again that got you into the rock head unit? Look he is a good kind just skidding and Its bad enough he got put in the unit with y'all. Dont need your bad habits rubbing on on him" stony said glaring at the overly eager dwarf " come let's get seated. We have to discuss our plan for when we arrive if they are asking for our help then it cant be good".
