The progression of equipment power in the free-to-play game Warframe is largely based around 'mods'---items you equip to your weapons or Warframes (space ninja power armor suits) that increase their stats or confer new abilities. You can put a Vitality on to gain more health, or a Serration to increase your primary weapon damage, or a Volcanic Edge to make your sword light your enemies on fire. These mods look rather like trading cards, and, as Magic cards do, often have names on the rather forceful side. So, as usual, it's time to figure out which of these 13 names are from metal bands and which are from Warframe mods---and which are both! I've included images of the band logos and of the mod-cards themselves for to be thrown up for viewers.

    Devourment - Band - Three distinct death metal bands from the 1990s, from Sweden, Mexico, and Dallas.

    Hell's Chamber - Mod - A shotgun mod that increases the number of projectiles fired by 120%

    Fulmination - Mod - Only equippable on secondary weapons that have explosive projectiles, this mod increases the blast radius.

    Steel Fiber - Mod - Puts more armor on your warframe.

    Grave Digger - band - A German power metal band created in 1980 and still active.

    Blood Rush - Both - A groove metal band from Bulgaria formed in 2012, and a melee weapon mod that provides more critical hit chance as the combo counter goes up.

    True Steel - Mod - A mod for melee weapons that increases the critical hit chance.

    Nuclear Assault - Band - A thrash metal band from New York City, active with three breakups and reforms since 1984.

    Bone Shaker - Band - A band from Wisconsin, originally formed as Unholy in 2006, described as having a classic metal style.

    Blind Rage - Both - Formed in 1995, a thrash metal band from Cleveland, and a warframe mod that increases ability strength while decreasing ability efficiency.

    Hall of Malevolence - Mod - This mod allows Mirage's doppelgangers to gain increased damage on each kill.

    Mercy Blow - Band - A death metal band from Delaware, formed in 2015.

    Insatiable - Both - A mod for Nidus that allows him to gain additional stacks of the Mutation mechanic while standing in a created spawning ground... and a doom metal band from the Netherlands, started in 2004.
